The Beachcomber is a completely rebuilt Spanish style home, in the historic Heart of Lubbock neighborhood. I redesigned this home from bare bones to be amazingly comfortable and enjoyable with every amenity you expect. The brand-new HVAC system will keep you cool or warm with the easy-to-use Nest thermostat, new plumbing, and Ring alarm system and outdoor camera will give you piece of mind during your stay.
The TVs are connected through the high-speed Wi-Fi and are Smart TV's, so that you can watch your favorite Netflix show, Hulu, ESPN+, Disney+, etc... local channels are also available.
The kitchen features Talavera tile and butcher-block countertops, as well as brand new stainless steel appliances. You will also find all the cooking utensils, pots, pans, blender, mixer, crockpot, cookie sheets, plates, bowls, cups, and flatware you need to cook a full meal. Plus, a coffee bar setup!
The bedrooms feature high end mattresses that regularly receive compliments from my guests, plus cozy bedding, and room darkening curtains. Each bed has nightstands with USB lamps to charge your devices easily. You will find hangers and storage space to put your items away and feel like you are at home.
The living room has a sofa with a queen size pullout bed for extra guests.
The bathroom has totally been renovated with a beautiful Talavera tile shower, and is filled with soft, plush towels, and all the bathroom amenities you will need, including a hair dryer.
The backyard is a tropical paradise with a courtyard, firepit, and the Tiki Tavern for guests to relax in the open air and have a drink or two! There is a gas grill, multiple seating areas, and lounge chairs to soak up the sun. Cornhole boards, Darts, Horseshoes and Putting Green to enjoy…or have some friendly competition!
There is a washer and dryer as well as laundry detergent, along with an iron and ironing board for guests to use.
Parking is available on the side of the house.
As a guest of mine, you have full access to The Beachcomber. There is a backhouse that is also an Airbnb and may have guests during your stay. The back yard is shared by the two houses. The Beachcomber’s guests are asked to be respectful of The Hut and it's guests and vice versa.

Policies and Rules
The keypad is on the door. Upon arrival I will ask guests to give me a 4-digit code that they would like to use during their stay. For both the keypad and alarm system.
Check in is any time after 3PM and Check out by 10AM

The Beachcomber's Rules:
Anything that begins with, "Hey, y'all watch this!" or "Hold my Beer!" is NOT allowed.
1. Lock all doors and windows when you leave the property to keep your personal items safe. Do not leave valuables in vehicle. On departure please close and lock all windows and doors.
2. As a guest of mine, you have full access to The Beachcomber. Please respect my guests staying in The Hut, and the surrounding neighbors
3. Noise: The neighbors understand that your here to have a good time. At the same time, your respect for them and their home is very important. Please keep loud noise on the property to a minimum. Please refrain from loud music and talking/yelling outside, especially at late or early hours.
4. Guest are not to enter onto the roof.
5. Please leave the place like you found it, clean.
6. Trash: Before you leave, please take all trash out to the dumpster in the alley, it is right outside the gate. Sometimes, cleaning cannot be done right after departure, and this ensures no smelly smells! There are more bags at the bottom of the trash cans.
7. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. Fresh linens and bath towels are included. Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. For stays longer than a week, beds will be changed, and fresh towels put out.
8. Laundry: Please only use the sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, etc. that you need during you stay. Leave all non-used items such as they were at check-in. THIS SAVES TIME AND IT HELPS ENSURE EFFICIENT TURNOVER FOR THE NEXT GUESTS; AND IT SAVES THE ENVIRONMENT! Leave used towels in the shower. If you use a sleeping space, please leave it un-made, so that I know it needs to be turned over. Leave all bedding/blankets/pillows on the respective sleeping surfaces. Do not refold/remake these items, as they may be mistakenly perceived not to have been used.
9. Dishes: Please wash all dishes used and place clean dishes back in their respective drawer/cabinet/area. You can purchase and bring throw-away paper good/utensils if you don't want to have to wash dishes.
10. Smoking is allowed outside only. All butts/ashes/other remnants must be removed or trashed appropriately by Guest before checking out. Collect butts in a disposable receptacle (ex: solo cup) and discard in trash. NEVER THROW YOUR BUTTS ON THE GROUND.
11. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order
12. Removal of household items is a serious infringement of your rental agreement. Any items removed from the home will result in fines outlined in the agreement on top of replacement costs.
13. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
14. Pets are not permitted in lieu of allergens that could cause future guest discomfort. If it is found a pet has been at the house, you will be fined $200.
15. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $200.
16. Report any problems with the property to Host as soon as noticed by calling the contact number provided.
17. No refunds will be given for storms.
18. Illegal substances are prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction.
19. Loud House parties or organized social events are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction. This does not include Graduation, Wedding, Family Reunions, type get togethers.
20. Host is not liable or responsible for personal items left behind, lost, or stolen. If you leave an item after checking out and wish to have it returned, call Homeowner as soon as possible and, if found, arrangements for shipment will be made. Any shipping cost will need to be provided first to cover the expense.
21. Host is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
22. A lien may not be placed on the property.
23. Subsequent leases/subleases/rentals by Guest during the Term of the Rental without Homeowner's written consent is prohibited.
24. Most IMPORTANTLY have fun and relax, close your eyes, and imagine you are on the beach somewhere, and not necessarily in Lubbock, Texas 😉
