Guests love the 1200 Sq Foot porch with a spectacular view of the Harbor and Bay. The Porch has a Bar-B-Q, Kitchen sink, kitchen counters, Beverage Fridge Glass Dining table, and living-room furniture (with foul Weather covers, dry and ready when you are). Sleeps up to 9.

You get Gods green earth, and natural beauty from heaven to horizon, and a warm Southern Hospitality.

No pretense. Nothing fancy. A great deal on an experience that has all but disappeared from the rest of the Atlantic Coast.

Cedar Island is for Nature Buffs only.

Not for the uppity hoi polloi.

If you want restaurants, shops and a parade. We don't have it, and we don't want it. We have one simple restaurant, and a well stocked general store. If you like Miami Beach or Atlantic Beach, go there. Everyone deserves a great vacation, but this is not for you.

Come all ye Campers, Boaters, Fishermen, wind surfers, kite-boarders, kayakers, birdwatchers, beachcombers, hunters, hedonists and burn outs. We can recharge your batteries.

This huge, comfortable but modest country house has 1.5 private acres right on the water. It has everything you need, but nothing fancy.

Come for the experience, and our warm southern hospitality. Please excuse our appearance during exterior maintenance (never t during your stay).

Automobile is necessary. Plenty of parking for cars and a boat. 4 wheeling is allowed on some local beaches. Vehicle ferries to outer banks beaches available. Golf Carts allowed on roads. Bicycles are popular.

Our welcome center is at the entrance to the island bridge. Phyllis will personally welcome you, give you keys, answer your questions, and finalize check in formalities.

Dignified Pets Considered for Fun Loving Repeat Guests. (Pets are not the problem - It is the owners)
Your Safety requires good judgement. All Waterfront activities, locations and facilities require extra caution. Drunks and worse may injure themselves.
A sundowner, crackers, cheese, common sense, a good attitude, and you will have a lifetime of memories, new friends and a home away from home to come back to over and over as our VIP guest and friend.

Payment Policy

Full payment due if less than 90 days till vacation.
Over 90 days advanced reservation: 1/2 with reservation, 1/2 payment at 90 days in advance.
Exceptions are granted liberally.

Refundable Damage Deposit

We love happy responsible guests who take care of our home and return to vacation here often.

Please preserve our property and your security deposit will be promptly returned.

Most people pay the security deposit with a hold on their credit card.

Return guests can ask for Security deposit waiver.

Cancellation Policy

45 days notice for cancellation during peak season. Per Diem refund or re-book (your choice) if storm evacuation is ordered.
Damage deposit due before or at check in. Usually a hold on a credit card, to be promptly returned/canceled.
