Stunning architectural home facing a golf course. Home was rebuilt from the ground up in 2006: open, light, modern, clean, with a gorgeous back garden.

In Santa Monica, and literally on the border with Venice and hip Rose Ave.

Across the street is a public golf course, providing a lovely green view, and is just a couple of blocks from a public park with tennis, basketball, sporting fields, and playground.

As the owner, I'm available if needed; I live in a duplex apartment adjoining the main rooms of the house. (* Being on-site is a requirement for short-term Santa Monica rentals. *) Its entrance is separate and fenced off.

Fully furnished, modern, solar-powered house. The house was recently remodeled, so all facilities and appliances are quite new.

The house is open and airy. There are three bedrooms, two downstairs which each have a sleeping loft, and the master bedroom upstairs, which floats above the living room -- it has one half wall, from which you can look down on the living room, though it’s shielded from view from below. The living room, kitchen, and dining room are open, so you can actually see all the way from the front door to the back yard.

This house is architecturally beautiful and inviting. The backyard was wonderful… quiet and great fire pit. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen complete with essentials and spices… felt like we were sharing a home. Terrific neighborhood and very walkable. Awesome TV for Olympics… Highly recommend

Dylan is a wonderful host: responsive, warm, and willing to be of help. My family and I were in town for a family wedding and had a very pleasant stay with his beautiful Airbnb home. A sanctuary in the swirl of a busy weekend. The Airbnb was easy to find at night, well-lit, and in a safe and peaceful neighborhood tucked away from main roads. Parking was a breeze, check-in also incredibly easy. Incredible architecture, clean, and exactly like the photos. The backyard was especially nice, especially in the evening while enjoying the quiet. Bathrooms and bedrooms were well stocked with linens, clean, and plenty of space. Checkout was easy, just a few light items and a message to say thanks and farewell. We could not have asked for a better weekend getaway. Thank you Dylan!

This place was great! It was very centrally located to anything in Marina Del Rey, Venice, and Santa Monica. We loved the back yard and especially loved the large open living room and kitchen. It was perfect for hanging out in the evenings where the group could all be together. The neighborhood was safe, walkable, and private.

First off, I appreciated the cleanliness of the space upon arrival. However, there were several areas that could be improved. The primary shower had signs of mold. Additionally, some of the bath fixtures were rusted, and doors & cabinets were chipped which detracted from the overall aesthetic and functionality of the bathroom. Throughout the house, the walls were painted with inconsistent shades of white, giving the impression of inconsistent maintenance. Lastly, the living room couches were worn, making the space feel less inviting and comfortable than it could have. While these issues didn't drastically hinder our stay during Frieze week (mid Feb), they did prevent the experience from reaching its full potential. The Primary Bed (upstairs) is adjacent to a desk for working and has a large, open channel allowing noise to circulate. Despite these critiques, I'm grateful for the effort the host put into maintaining a clean space for their visitors.

- Absolutely no parties or events. There are other places to rent for that. Small family gatherings are okay, as long as they are quiet. - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Be respectful of the neighbors -- no firepit or backyard use after 10 pm, and be quiet when coming and going at night. If you want to party and play music into the wee hours, even indoors, this is not the place for you. I rely on good relations with my neighbors, and received noise complaints recently, so I can't let it happen again. This is grounds for early termination early so please take it seriously. - Small pets only with owner’s permission. - No smoking. - If you use the grill, clean it or you’ll be charged. - Treat the house as if it were your own.No smokingNo parties or eventsCheck-in is anytime after 4:00 PM

Notes

Gardeners come Thursdays to attend to the grounds and they usually put the bins out by the street then. Housekeeping is not included, since every renter has their own needs, but if you wish for housekeeping during your stay, I can provide contact information for my usual housekeeper, whose rate is very reasonable.
