Welcome to Seaside Cottage! Our 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is tucked away in the Hammocks section of The Currituck Club, a gated golf community in Corolla. The Currituck Club community offers gorgeous ocean and sound views. The resort style neighborhood has something for every vacationer-many amenities to keep families active or peace and serenity to just relax. Guests in the Currituck Club can enjoy community pools, a playground, tennis, pickle ball courts, a fitness center, basketball courts, walking/biking trails, an on-site restaurant, beach trolley, and valet service to the beach(offered Memorial Day to Labor Day). The Currituck Club staff provides many free or low cost summer activities for families to enjoy such as corn hole tournaments, pool parties, dive in movie nights, crafts, and special events.



The Currituck Club's beach access is across the street from the communities south entrance. Guests can take the trolley in season or drive themselves to the beach. The drive takes about 5 minutes. The trolley spot is right outside our front door. Kids love to ride the trolley and the trip through the community will give you a tour of the picturesque environment and coastal homes. Parking, outdoor showers, and bathrooms at the beach access. Valet service, chair, and umbrella rental, and snack shack are available in season at our access area as well. It is also popular to rent a golf cart to get to the beach, pools, and restaurants adjacent to the Currituck Club. We have a list of area companies that provide golf cart rentals if interested.



Seaside Cottage is a 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home located on a small, family friendly street with cul-de-sacs on both ends. **BEDS ARE MADE AND BATH TOWELS ARE PROVIDED.**One towel set per person up to 9.



The furnishings are coastal style, comfortable, and continuously updated. The home design is an open floorplan with a two story great room. The dining area opens out to outdoor dining and the pool. There is a king bedroom on the main floor and leads out to the back deck. This is a nice option for those who can't manage stairs or may want some privacy from the rest of the family. A full bath is on the first floor. There are 3 additional bedrooms upstairs; a large, cathedral ceiling master bedroom with a king size bed, a queen bedroom, and a pyramid bunk bed that sleeps 3. The queen bedroom and master bedroom share access to a large sundeck. There are Adirondack chairs and side tables on the upper deck.



Seaside Cottage is owned by a family with kids and this home is all about kids. The garage is loaded with beach toys, beach gear, a ping pong table and a multi game table. There are bins of toys, movies, books, and indoor games for all age levels. Additional amenities include: a fun surfboard outdoor shower, cable tv(Disney Channel,HGTV etc..), wifi, and a gas grill.



We do allow a dog with owner approval, signed pet agreement, and pet fee. Please message us about your family, including any pets BEFORE sending a booking request.



Our cottage has a private pool(open early May to mid October) and a hot tub. The pool area offers sunny spots as well as trees for shade. There are two covered decks on the first floor, and one large wrap around upper level sundeck(shared by the master and queen bedroom). The Hammocks community pool is a short walk away. (Open mid May to early October). The house is located on a quiet, flat street that has cul-de-sacs at both ends.



The owners, Rick and Melissa, will be happy to help you plan your trip to Corolla. We have vacationed in the area for many years before deciding to purchase our cottage. We can recommend local tips as well as help plan day trips to other areas of the Outer Banks.

Guests have use of our private pool(mid May-mid Oct) and hot tub year round. The Currituck Club Resort Community offers a main complex which includes a large pool with separate children's pool, fitness center, tennis courts, basketball courts, and playground. Our cottage is part of the Hammocks section of the communiy. The Hammocks section offers a large pool with zero entry which is great for both children and adults. Amenities (such as the fitness center, playground etc.. are available year round however community pools are open seasonally, mid May-mid October.

Fantastic- house, community & host!
We only stayed at Melissa’s place Tues-Sat, so with 3 full days we tried to do as much as possible! ***10/10 stars*** The house: stocked kitchen for cooking, comfortable bedding & sectional sofa, plenty of linens provided, great open floor plan with functional space for games, puzzles, remote working, family meals. The outside space: great front porch with rocking chairs- perfect for our cocktail hour. The back porch is equally perfect. We grilled and ate dinner al fresco most nights on the back porch. Our beagle napped most days on the fenced in porch! He’s a big fan of the shaded and breezy porch. The pool is the perfect sized back yard pool, and we had fun battling each other in pool basketball and relaxing on floats. The hot tub was clean and refreshing. We must have looked so relaxed as neighbors saw us having fun and said they were jealous because their house didn’t have a hot tub:) Garage is stocked with floats, bikes, foosball, ping pong, games…. The community has plenty of activities. We enjoyed the trolley rides, not only for the shuttle service but also to see the community. The drivers were friendly and helpful, quick to jump out and assist with loading and unloading beach gear. The trolley stop is so convenient to the house and the trolleys stop frequently. Three community pools! The snack bar at the beach trolley stop was perfect for grab and go! Melissa is a great host, informative and communicative! Overall fantastic stay- house, host, community!!

Fantastic Gem!
Our family just returned from Seaside Cottage for a small family vacation and our first time to the OBX! From the get-go, Melissa was on the ball with answering any questions we had before and after booking. She even provided us with guides on the area and a list of their recommendations on restaurants- which were delicious! The house was clean and cozy, plenty of room for 6 adults, 2 infants, and a couple of dogs! The hot tub was clean and well maintained- we didn’t utilize the pool due to us being there in October, but it was nice and clean as well! Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with essentials and grocery stores were within walking distance. We loved every part of our first time at the OBX, and will definitely be back! Melissa’s house is in a fantastic location and we can’t wait to return!

Wonderful stay
We really enjoyed our stay! This was one of the cleanest VRBO houses I have stayed in. It was perfect for our family - 4 adults and 2 young kids. Even better, it is pet friendly. Melissa was so incredibly kind with the provided information and responses. We dealt with a tropical storm the first half of our stay, but still enjoyed ourselves with the amenities and comforts of the home and surrounding area. Would love to come back.

Everything a family needs to have fun and relax
The house is well laid out, well furnished, super clean, and with all the amenities we could possibly ask for. The beds are very comfortable, and having all kinds of games for the kids to play is a nice touch, as is plenty of popular books for reading. The house is on a short and very quiet street, with cul-de-sacs at each end. We were very impressed at how often the very convenient shuttles came by to take us and our stuff to the beach, and they are super friendly and treat you like royalty. The house was great for our dog as well, he was very comfortable and well-behaved, and enjoyed watching over the grandkids, from the shaded back porch/deck, playing in the pool, which is also shaded a good portion of the day. Our very gracious host was extremely responsive, and provided great recommendations on restaurants entertainment ideas for our vacation week. We look forward to visiting the area again and would certainly stay in this beautiful home again. Thanks!

Great Property!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was clean and as-advertised. The check-in process was drama-free, and we were able to access the community that evening as well as easily get our wrist bands the next morning. The property is in the community right behind Harris Teeter, which is a GREAT location and there is a Starbucks in the store if that's your thing. We'd definitely stay again. The only issues we had were the hot tub cover, which we communicated with the owners and they were very responsive (totally not a big deal, but they responded immediately which is worth a mention). Also, several of the community activities we were going to participate in were canceled at the last minute. That is not the fault of the property owners, but the community did seem to have issues staffing some of the activities, which unfortunately is pretty typical these days. Overall, great stay and we'll definitely consider next year.

Best OBX vacation yet.
Perfect house, super clean. Easy check in and check out. Shuttle was so nice although we preferred driving down to an access because we had so much stuff. Owners were fantastic and super accommodating. Best Rental experience we’ve had yet, and I’ve been coming since I was a child. Super convenient location with Harris Teeter so close. We had 2 families with 5 children and we had plenty of space. Honestly couldn’t tell it was pet friendly either, which we also loved. Lots of stuff at the house for the kids including bikes which was so nice. Would def rent again! Thanks again!

Family Vacation
The house and community were a perfect setting for our family vacation. The house was very clean and had everything to make our stay enjoyable. Melissa was very prompt with communication and provided much needed recommendations for our first time in the area. The amenities were great and I enjoyed taking a daily walk through the area and taking in the scenery. The trolley service was a great option to get to and from the beach. Our kids loved it! I would highly recommend staying here. The owners have really taken the time and energy to make it a great place to stay.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE FOR YOUR NEXT VACATION! Our host Melissa made us feel special from the first message sent to us all the way to recommendations along our trip back home. The house has many amenities for multiple families and friends to enjoy even pets! Proximity to shops, restaurants and the beach is unmatched. Not only is the house feature rich it’s met with just as much with the community itself. I will be visiting this home again!

Wedding in OBX
Overall we enjoyed our stay! Had problems with tv in the living room, but we weren’t there to watch TV. We did see a good bit of hairs (appeared to be dog hair) on the sofa. Was not from us as we did not have a dog . Probably would not rent a house again that allowed animals . But the size of this one was definitely what we needed. We attended a wedding and were not spending our whole time in the house. Location was perfect!

Our location is a ‘drive to’ destination. Some guests choose to rent golf carts from a local vendor to cruise around the community, go to the grocery store, and the beach. Our community offers a trolley service to the beach in the summer months. You can drive to the community beach access within 5 minutes of leaving my driveway. Corolla has sidewalks to walk and bike around town. A grocery store(Harris Teeter) and Duck Donuts are within walking distance of Seaside Cottage.

Guests will be sent a gate code for main security gate and the code for the house. This will be provided 24 hours before check in. Check in is set for 4 p.m. Early check in is on a case by case basis. The owner is in contact with support staff and can possibly allow check in once assured the home is ready for the guest. The Currituck Club offers activities at the main pool all day Saturday so guests can start their vacation at the pool as soon as they arrive. Check out time (10 a.m.) needs to be firm as it is a short window of time to turn the home over from one family to the next. Late check outs could result in a portion of the security deposit being withheld.

The Currituck Club is a private gated community with many year round residents. Our home and community is a great family vacation spot. Our home sleeps a maximum of 10 which includes a maximum of 8 adults due to bunk beds. We require a signed rental agreement and the leaseholder must be present for the stay. We may also require ID.

Payment Policy
We do accept personal checks, Venmo, Zelle, and credit cards through Square. We can send guests an invoice to complete their transaction online.
Refundable Damage Deposit
Security deposit is collected with the final payment. It may be held for up to 30 days then refunded to guest according to how they paid. Guests will be given a list and cost of any noted damages if any portion of the deposit is being retained.
Cancellation Policy
Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance because life happens. There are many options available to guests from third parties and up to the guest to purchase a plan that best meets their travel plans. Guests may cancel a reservation without penalty up to 90 days before their check in date unless previous arrangements are made within the rental agreement. Many reservations are made months or a year in advance and can’t be rebooked with short notice. Please see the rental agreement for cancellation specifics.

We dealt with a tropical storm the first half of our stay, but still enjoyed ourselves with the amenities and comforts of the home and surrounding area. Would love to come back.

Everything a family needs to have fun and relax

The house is well laid out, well furnished, super clean, and with all the amenities we could possibly ask for. The beds are very comfortable, and having all kinds of games for the kids to play is a nice touch, as is plenty of popular books for reading. The house is on a short and very quiet street, with cul-de-sacs at each end. We were very impressed at how often the very convenient shuttles came by to take us and our stuff to the beach, and they are super friendly and treat you like royalty. The house was great for our dog as well, he was very comfortable and well-behaved, and enjoyed watching over the grandkids, from the shaded back porch/deck, playing in the pool, which is also shaded a good portion of the day. Our very gracious host was extremely responsive, and provided great recommendations on restaurants entertainment ideas for our vacation week. We look forward to visiting the area again and would certainly stay in this beautiful home again. Thanks!

Great Property!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was clean and as-advertised. The check-in process was drama-free, and we were able to access the community that evening as well as easily get our wrist bands the next morning. The property is in the community right behind Harris Teeter, which is a GREAT location and there is a Starbucks in the store if that's your thing. We'd definitely stay again. The only issues we had were the hot tub cover, which we communicated with the owners and they were very responsive (totally not a big deal, but they responded immediately which is worth a mention). Also, several of the community activities we were going to participate in were canceled at the last minute. That is not the fault of the property owners, but the community did seem to have issues staffing some of the activities, which unfortunately is pretty typical these days. Overall, great stay and we'll definitely consider next year.

Best OBX vacation yet.

Perfect house, super clean. Easy check in and check out. Shuttle was so nice although we preferred driving down to an access because we had so much stuff. Owners were fantastic and super accommodating. Best Rental experience we’ve had yet, and I’ve been coming since I was a child. Super convenient location with Harris Teeter so close. We had 2 families with 5 children and we had plenty of space. Honestly couldn’t tell it was pet friendly either, which we also loved. Lots of stuff at the house for the kids including bikes which was so nice. Would def rent again! Thanks again!

Family Vacation

The house and community were a perfect setting for our family vacation. The house was very clean and had everything to make our stay enjoyable. Melissa was very prompt with communication and provided much needed recommendations for our first time in the area. The amenities were great and I enjoyed taking a daily walk through the area and taking in the scenery. The trolley service was a great option to get to and from the beach. Our kids loved it! I would highly recommend staying here. The owners have really taken the time and energy to make it a great place to stay.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE FOR YOUR NEXT VACATION! Our host Melissa made us feel special from the first message sent to us all the way to recommendations along our trip back home. The house has many amenities for multiple families and friends to enjoy even pets! Proximity to shops, restaurants and the beach is unmatched. Not only is the house feature rich it’s met with just as much with the community itself. I will be visiting this home again!

Wedding in OBX

Overall we enjoyed our stay! Had problems with tv in the living room, but we weren’t there to watch TV. We did see a good bit of hairs (appeared to be dog hair) on the sofa. Was not from us as we did not have a dog . Probably would not rent a house again that allowed animals . But the size of this one was definitely what we needed. We attended a wedding and were not spending our whole time in the house. Location was perfect!
