“Great Place To Stay!!”

My husband and I have stayed at the Sandpiper Cottage twice and could not have found a better vacation rental. Not only was the Sandpiper accommodating to us, but also dog friendly and safe for our four legged friends. Everything is in walking distance and convenient. The home is very clean and has everything one may need for a stress free vacation! The owners are wonderful and quick to help with any questions or needs. We will be returning without a doubt!

“Wonderful vacation!”

We so enjoyed staying at Sandpiper!! It was so cozy and comfortable!! They provided all of the essentials, (cooking supplies, paper supplies, dishes), and much more! We loved how clean and bright it was!! We spent a lot of time on the front porch with our dog. It was so great to have it gated so we didn't have to tie him up! The location was perfect..so close to the beach, which was always quiet and beautiful! Lynn was so nice and great to deal with!! I would highly recommend Sandpiper Cottage!!

“Fantastic”

Best stay yet. We were at High Breeze and Sandpiper. Stayed Jan/Feb 2920. Both homes were nicely located, well decorated, cozy, clean, with every appliance and kitchen gadget needed. Everything was in good repair. Loved our stay.

Beautiful Florida Beach Cottage

Easy living. Privacy. Updated home with large pool, gated decks for our pet. We used the bike path everyday for biking and dog walking, it is right on the rear of the property. Comfy seating around the pool and decks. Heavy duty adirondacks and lounge chairs. Modern stand up showers. The walk to the beach is right across from the house, and having that walkover makes it so easy for me and grandbabies. Rented here many times over the years and have enjoyed working with owners and their management company. Love SGI and Sandpiper Cottage! Gibson Family Kentucky

Hidden Gem of SGI!

From the outside, you may not guess it, but this little beach cottage is absolutely the whole package! The updated kitchen and living spaces were great for our family, and having the pool just outside the door was so nice. The beach is just steps away and you can hear the waves crashing from the porch. This house has it all, from the easy walk over to the beach, to the great outdoor entertaining area....plus the steps are minimal! Our senior dog didn't even mind them. :) Thank you for opening your home to us-we will definitely be back!

Easy living on the Beach

One level living in a completely update Florida Cottage. A wonderful experience. Modern kitchen and bathrooms. Large Private pool with multiple seating areas and dining areas. Furnishings are very nice. Sunporch is great for morning coffee and people watching, has a cute bistro table, wicker seating, and futon. Kitchen is very well stocked for cooking up any meal. We cooked fresh seafood one night, and used the outdoor grill another evening for more fresh seafood! Visited the park, lighthouse, and Apalachicola. Nice fish cleaning sink and the landscape makes this beachside home private. Short walk or bike ride to center of the island.

Great place

We spent a month here and first time on SGI which was very nice and quiet.The cottage has everything you need for a nice visit especially if you cook .Updated recently and beds are comfortable and excellent furnishings. Nice enclosed deck for our dog to enjoy out in the sun and she loved the beach across the street. Book it you can't go wrong and owners are very friendly also.If we get to SGI again this is where we will stay. Great seafood all over had plenty.

Sandpiper Cottage

All that needs to be said about Sandpiper Cottage is location, location, location and a few other things. Right across from the beach entrance and walking distance to town. A pool to jump into after a day at the beach. Absolutely beautiful landscaping which makes this home very private. All this and SGI too. A wonderful vacation spot. We plan to return. Thanks.

Homey Cottage

This was our first family vacation in about 15 years and just what we were looking for. We were able to take our fur-baby, Bella, and she equally enjoyed the trip. Sandpiper is a homey little cottage and we were honored to stay there. I didn't do any cooking, but the kitchen was well stocked with pot, pans & utensils. Guess I shoulda cooked a little, but I cook every day at home and just took a break. The beds were comfortable considering we are used to the adjustable Sleep Number beds. The only suggestions I would have would be better shower heads, sometimes felt like I needed to run around to get good and wet and possibly a more comfortable seating arrangement. After my husband's four hip replacements, the lower seating of the couch and chairs didn't work real well for him. The landscaping is beautiful, with butterflies and hummingbirds. The sun porch was really nice, we left the windows open most of the time unless it rained and it was fairly comfortable even during the day. I would love to have some of the bushes in my yard. The pool was really nice, we didn't get to spend a lot of time at the pool or beach because it rained our first two days, and also my daughter and I burn easily so mostly we just relaxed. St. George Island is great for down time and the food was great. A couple of pet-friendly restaurants on the Island and several in Apalachicola. Highly recommend Sandpiper, Lynn was a pleasure to work with. She gave me several suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Hope to be back next year.

I am on the shower heads, they are probably full of calcium deposits. The public and our well water is full of it and is a constant for beach homes. I will have those replaced and hopefully you can come back and enjoy. I love the Fall months on SGI, they are my favorite. The butterflies and birds are stopping over before they migrate to Mexico and they seem to love that we have irrigation for our landscape. Relaxing vacation

This was our second stay at Sandpiper, the first being back in 2003. Very comfortable, easy ground level access and a great location just across from the beach. We love the area and all the fabulous bars and restaurants, both on the island and in Apalachicola. Really enjoyed the pool, being from MN it was wonderful to be outside again in shorts if only for a week. Our only issues - and they are minor issues - the showers are both pretty small, and the TVs appear to be the same ones that were there in 2003 (our week was during the NCAA tournament - otherwise we might not have even noticed...). Next time we visit with a smaller group we will be going back to Sandpiper.

I am happy to say that when we came down in April we did replace the family room TV with a 48" Flat Screen. We also have plans to replace the bedroom TVs as well. We were just one month late for the NCAA Basketball Tournaments. We have also been working with a builder in regards to the bathrooms. We are finding we are limited because of the concrete walls and the where the plumbing is currently located. But we have not given up and plan to make what changes we can. The size may not change, but we have some ideas that may provide a few more feet of usable space. We appreciate your feedback and you can be sure we take it to heart. Perfect!!!

We absolutely loved Sandpiper! It was extremely well located and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the swimming pool! Allowing our pet was the icing on the cake. We had six adults and one toddler in our party and we had plenty of space. The long bar in the kitchen was great! Our vacation was just amazing and we will certainly be back at Sandpiper!!

Perfect cottage

My husband, & I just got home from a great week in your cottage. It was absolutely perfect for us. We loved its location to the beach & the restaurants. We walked or rode our bikes to every meal. No reason to take our truck out of the driveway! The weather was beautiful every day, & we really enjoyed the pool. The house is decorated really cute & beachy, immaculate, & had all the extras you could possibly want. This was our 2nd year to St. George, our first at Sandpiper. We loved it & will be booking for next year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage!

All 3 homes are single family homes, with private pools, pet friendly, and 1st Tier(right across from the Gulf of Mexico). There are 3 seasonal rates during the year. We also list our homes with a local management company on the island. They are there for our guests if you have questions or issues during your visit. The area has year round events, great restaurants, shopping, and exploring. A very laid back area, no high rise condos, no crowded beaches.
