Tucked in the hills of San Diego, our organic subtropical farm is a great centrally located getaway destination. The beautiful 4-room space occupies the first floor of the original two-story, three-unit farmhouse on our family farm and has its own entrance with no shared spaces. Relax in the hot tub and enjoy the quiet! We have five other farmstay homes here if this one is booked, or youd like to reserve for a larger party.

Queen bed, walk-in closet, living room and beautiful limestone bathroom waiting for your arrival. Completely private with a full kitchen off the living room. Full size refrigerator. High-end Reverse Osmosis Nimbus five stage water filtration system, coffee, and tea with sugar and real cream provided. Flat screen smart TV, no outside cable. Bring your passwords for your Netflix/Hulu/etc accounts. Coffee maker, toaster, juicer, microwave waiting for your enjoyment. Hot tub for your private use just steps from your door. Efficient mini-split heating and air conditioning system. Decent wifi.

Great parking, just drive right up to your door. Walk the farm during day light hours or with a really good flashlight. Walk up to the nearby goats and offer them treats! . Super fast Wifi here at last! The Oaks Restaurant is a couple miles away and is a homey cafe type destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. For something a little pricier and definitely on the romantic side: down the road a bit further is Temecula Creek Inns Cork Fire Kitchen. Most of the year theres Kennys you-pick strawberry farm right down the road as well. Youll see small signs on Old 395 as you drive in from either direction. Absolutely awesome strawberries, pick them yourself, or buy them already harvested. We send an exhaustive Activity Guide, Winery Listing, Food Map and Restaurant Guide in PDF format to all confirmed reservations, via email. Well send our Activity Guide as soon as you book, along with the private activities were offering like Cheese Making, Jam Making/Canning, and Hand Churned Ice Cream.

Little known, even to San Diegans, Rainbow, California is adjacent to Fallbrook and is right off the I-15 freeway, yet our farm seems like its miles away from the city. Only a few minutes off the I-15, were freeway close. 40 minutes or so to Oceansides beautiful beaches and Carlsbads flower fields and Legoland, and an exit south of Temeculas wine country tours, right in between San Diego and Los Angeles renowned attractions. Twenty-five minutes or so from Cal State San Marcos University, thirty-five minutes or so from San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido and a little over an hour to Seaworld and world famous Balboa Park. The local farmers market is on Saturday and is 15 minutes away in Old Town Temecula...a destination in itself. Were one exit south of Temecula. Be sure to check out Temecula Olive Oil Companys tasting bar if you find yourself in Old Town. Temecula has a number of vineyards eager to showcase their wines, wine country is one exit north of us (10-15 minutes) and if you book early enough, hot air ballooning is a local wine country favorite.

No public transportation, you need a car for sure! Mountain bikes wouldnt be a bad idea, but youll have to walk them down to Safari Tent before mounting! (Hilly, blind curves too dangerous for bike riding) Closed toe shoes, rather than high heels or flipflops are a good choice if you intend to hike the farm.

Maximum occupancy is 4 guests in this unit. There is only one queen bed, and one FULL pull out coach in the livingroom. Kitchen seats four.

Free parking right at your door.
Well send a confirmation and rental agreement to your email to complete your booking, as well as our comprehensive Activity Guide which includes on-farm things to do, as well as area suggestions, wineries and tours.

Wow...this is as tough as a job interview. Who am I? I really enjoy meeting different people, and count myself lucky to get to share this little slice of farming paradise with lots of well traveled guests. A confirmed Foodie, my original interest in growing things was for my own table. So a lot of what we grow here at Morning Song Farm is rare and unusual; dragon fruit, mulberries, macadamias, guavas, loquats, sapote, Carissa plum and kumquats. My shelves are proof of my eclectic tastes, including organic gardening books, mediation, political history, economics and numerous cheese making books which has become a focus for about a decade now. I teach it here for those that would like to discover how easy it is to make your own cheese! Just ask.
Aesthetics are important to me, I've worked hard to transform our farm into something beautiful...although it's an ongoing fight against the dark forces of weeds and derelict farm equipment. Friends say staying here is very relaxing.

House Rules
1952 Chambers Stove: There are three gas burners, which do need a match unless the pilot light has gone out. If you'd like to light the stove or griddle, give us a call; it's easier to explain that write out. Mini Split heating and cooling: There are two separate systems in the home. One is in the kitchen (control at entrance to kitchen) and the other is in the bedroom. Basic operation is on/off, up/down. MODE is important: we set it to what is normally being used at that time of year, but you may want to change it. The snowflake icon gives you AC, the sun icon gives you heat. If you pick snowflake, and heat...you'll get neither. Hottub: We've set the heat to Goats: Hosted Goat Interaction is close by, each afternoon except Thursdays. Just head up the drive to the barn. Offer our herd treats anytime the Dutch doors are open; from morning until dusk. Please don't open the door after hours, because forgetting to close it exposes the herd to predators. Chickens: Gather eggs and interact with our friendly birds anytime. Peacocks: George, Eunice and their offspring wander the farm. They enjoy bits of fruit, sunflower seeds (provided at the goat barn when they come during Goat Interaction) tomatoes, leafy greens, and bits of bread. Like chickens, they have a wide diet; but no teeth.... Alpacas: Silverado and Dusty are across from the main chicken enclosure. We provide treats for them (the chickens also enjoy) in the big blue can.

Cancellation Policy
By confirming a reservation you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to our cancellation policy and you and your guests agree to our House Rules. If you think our cancellation policy would be a hardship in the event you must cancel without refund, you agree to either opt now for trip insurance: or notify us that you'd like to cancel your reservation and get a refund now. Here is our cancellation policy, and the trip insurance provider we recommend:

We are not a multi-room hotel or resort with the luxury of offering last minute cancellation refunds; so please be certain of your dates before booking and consider travel insurance if you feel you need that added assurance. Morning Song does not offer travel insurance among its services. Here is our cancellation policy:

A. Full refund if cancelled within 24 hours of booking except for same day/last minute bookings. If you`ve accidentally made a reservation that you discover you need to cancel shortly after making it, we can void the transaction without incurring any merchant fees . Please call if this happens so we can act promptly.
B. Full refund minus 3% credit card transaction fees if cancelled within 30 days of check-in date. (All we`re charging is our actual cost of the transaction.)
C. 50% refund if cancelled within 14 days of check-in date.
D. No refund if cancellation is made 13 days or closer to your reservation date.

Our farmstay is unique and offers activities and services beyond a typical vacation rental. We work hard to offer value to each and every guest and our rates are based on numerous factors, including our cancellation policy. Please don`t ask us to post a cancellation policy and then ignore it.
Please consider travel insurance such as https://mvp.travelguard.com/ if you want travel insurance!
