We are a professional couple and we have an extra apartment in our family owned brownstone building that we would love to sublet on a nightly, weekly, or monthly basis. We know how hard it is to find clean, nice, and reasonably priced accommodations as a visitor to our city. What you see in the pictures and listing here is what you get!
The fully furnished and newly renovated apartment is located on the fourth floor, with gorgeous floors, stainless steel appliances (dishwasher!), and all the amenities you could hope for. It is a completely private apartment. The living room windows have southern exposure, looking onto the street, while the bedroom windows look onto the very quiet and peaceful backyard. There is a shared luxury washer/dryer in the basement, and the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for cooking.

Rocco foi um excelente anfitrião, sempre atencioso, respondendo muito rápido. O apartamento é muito bem planejado e confortável. Minha única dica, em termos de arredores, há uma grande diferença em termos de melhor vizinhança, entre ir em direção a Malcolm X Blvd, com pontos de vendas de droga e ir em direção a Morningside Ave, muito mais tranquila e sem moradores de rua. Não tive nenhum problema de segurança, mas a diferença nas direções que eu falei são marcantes. É possível ir ao Central Park a pé ou de bike. O transporte público também é acessível. Achei que em termos de custo/benefício valeu a pena.

My reservation was for three adults, yet there were only two washcloths in the unit, and the body-wash container was nearly empty. For sleeping there was an uncomfortable metal folding cot with a thin foam pad and a futon for the floor. The sofa is not big enough. My stated expectation was for 3 beds. So 2 guests wound up sleeping on the floor. I was told that I would be contacted by a third party app to unlock the front door. The night before my arrival I contacted the host expressing my concern, because I had not heard from them. The host response was that the email was already sent to me and could not be resent. Their only solution was for me to submit a different email address. I could not get the bedroom light or fan to work the first night due to lack of instructions. They had to come out to fix the TV, because it was not working when I arrived. From the past reviews, Rocco seems to typically do a very good job. However on my visit, I feel like I fell through the cracks.

Response:We are sorry our listing did not meet your standards. We can certainly add washcloths and make sure our soap container is full. However, any time you had an issue we immediately responded and fixed the situation. The TV was not broken, it had just become disconnected to the WiFi - an easy fix. The fan/light switch is clearly labeled on the wall, and the remote is right by the bed. The listing also clearly states "1 Queen bed" and "2 floor mattresses." You rented a 1 bedroom apartment for 3 adults and we were very clear in our listing as to what you were getting. You say "I did not count on anyone sleeping on the floor," but the listing obviously states that's exactly what our extra 2 beds consist of - floor mattresses. We are concerned about the safety and comfort of all of our guests and take into account feedback to improve our listing.

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. We would absolutely stay again! Even with our 3 year old the stairs were not too challenging to navigate and the proximity to parks and great food and transportation to other parts of the city was perfect! Would highly recommend.

Communication and checking in was easy. Rocco promptly responded to a couple of questions we had. We found the neighborhood to be safe and convenient to public transportation. We enjoyed walking downtown through Central Park. The apartment itself was extremely clean and quiet. Very spacious. We easily cooked in the kitchen. There is a new grocery store about a block away, Lincoln Market. I highly recommend Rocco’s apartment.

Rocco’s flat was a great place to spend a week in NYC. Close to subway stations which made for quick trips to broadway. Great restaurants in the neighborhood. Walkable to groceries and coffee shops. The apartment was quiet and clean. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay after a day or night of enjoying the big city.

We had a fantastic stay at Rocco’s place. The apartment is really quiet, beautifully equipped. The building is safe and very well maintained. You can walk to Central Park and Columbia University. Great grocery store few minutes away.
