Welcome to Point View 2.0, our newly built lakefront home conveniently located in the heart of McHenry and all of the areas many attractions. Our home is built on the former site of the famous Point View Inn, with breathtaking views of Deep Creek Lake and the surrounding mountains. Our brand new outdoor space includes a concrete driveway and guest parking spaces, fire pit area, gigantic patio with hammock chairs and patio furniture, hot tub and covered grill station with surrounding bar seating.
Our property is a single family home setup as a bed and breakfast with the owners quarters upstairs and the lower level as the separate guest space. We wont be serving freshly prepared breakfast but we will provide a welcome basket with some goodies for you to enjoy. This listing is for the lower level of the house which has a separate entrance, parking, full size laundry, kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Also includes use of private dock slip, rear patio, hot tub and grill station, backyard and fire pit.
The lower level has 10 foot ceilings with tons of windows and natural light and amazing lake views from the kitchen/dining area and main living space as well as from each of the 4 bedrooms. The two master bedrooms each have king size beds and the other two bedrooms each have double over double bunk beds.
Guests have private and exclusive use of the entire lower level of the home (other than a small locked mechanical room), as well as the rear patio area under the deck, including the hot tub and adjacent BBQ area. Guests also have private and exclusive use of the lakefront backyard (with hammocks in the trees) and firepit. The dock may be used by guests to moor one jet ski (with fenders/bumpers) and one power boat (or two jet skis and zero power boats) and launch unlimited kayaks, paddle boards and other non-motorized vessels. The hosts may cross through the yard to access the dock and use their boat during your stay. The rest of the dock is available for the private and exclusive use by our guests. There is a marina right next door with watersports rentals available (and several other marinas in the area as well).
We have 4 parking spaces inside the fenced area on our property exclusively available for guest parking. Please contact us if additional parking is needed. Adjacent to the guest parking area is a short staircase with handrail for guest use to easily access the separate lower level entrance.
The host family will likely be staying upstairs for all or most of your stay, so you will have on-site management available if needed (no waiting around for returned phone calls from 3rd party management companies if any issues or questions come up - you can call, email, text or simply come to the front door and knock). If requested, we are also happy to greet you at check in and show you around, answer any questions you have about the house or the area, things to do, etc.
If youd prefer you can simply check in on your own and access the property with the keypad code that will be sent to you in advance and we will try to be as invisible as possible during your stay (you may hear some footsteps above you, like you might in a duplex, or in a hotel/apartment, but we will try not to disturb you during your stay).
During your stay we may use the upstairs deck and may briefly cross through the backyard to access our boat, but we will not be using the yard, dock, hot tub, lakefront firepit or the patio area, all of which will be reserved for your exclusive use.
We take pride in making sure that the space is disinfected and cleaned thoroughly between each guest stay. This includes disinfecting all surfaces, cleaning all appliances inside and out and washing all linens, including bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, sheets, pillowcases and comforters. Yes, we wash all of the comforters after every guest stay.
We provide all linens and towels, as well as some starter paper goods and supply items such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, firewood, etc., however, these starter items may not supply all of your needs throughout your entire stay, so you may want to bring or plan to purchase some of your own supplies of the types listed above (theres a grocery store about 3 minutes away and a Super-Walmart about 15 minutes away).
As noted in the amenities details, please be aware that we do not have a full size oven. There is a built in countertop range, a full size microwave, a large countertop convection oven/air fryer and a 6 burner grill outside.

Refundable Damage Deposit
Any damages will be covered by the deposit. The house will be inspected upon checkout and the unused portion of the deposit will be returned within 14 days of checkout.
Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations made at least 60 days prior to check-in or within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 21 days away at the time of cancellation. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 14 days before check-in. No refund for cancellations made within 14 days of check-in.
