In the heart of the Val d’Orcia, surrounded by vineyards, this authentic farmhouse makes an ideal holiday base, to explore the delights of southern Tuscany or simply to unwind and relax. The property is in a quiet location and has well-tended gardens with a private swimming pool.

The house, which sleeps 8 people, has been sensitively restored with natural wooden flooring throughout. On the ground floor, there is an open-plan kitchen and dining area separated by a traditional Tuscan brick archway. The stylish dining table seats 8. The kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and coffee machine. There is a small breakfast bar for casual snacks. The separate living room has a contemporary corner sofa, stone fireplace and flatscreen TV.

The outdoor space has been arranged with as much care as the interiors. The swimming pool area has sun loungers and parasols where guests can relax after a refreshing dip. The garden has other areas for reading, relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet, including an enchanting vine-covered pergola with a sofa and chairs. There is a swing for children and an outdoor dining area with a BBQ.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: This ground-floor bedroom is a feast for the eyes, with half-plastered walls revealing the original brick and stonework. There is a canopied double bed, a small table, which doubles as a workspace, a wardrobe and en suite bathroom. Double doors lead out onto a private terrace.

Bedroom 3: Another beautifully decorated bedroom with a double bed, dressing table and en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 4: This stylish bedroom has a painted iron double bed, with a dressing table and an en suite bathroom.

All en suite bathrooms are luxuriously appointed with showers, basins, bidets and WC.

Location
Located in the Val d’Orcia, with its rolling hills and vineyards, this farmhouse is ideally situated to discover the delights of southern Tuscany. The town of Pienza is just 10 minutes away and well worth a visit for its Renaissance palaces, as well as for its peccorino cheese.

The famous city of Siena (1 hour) makes an ideal day trip. Visitors can enjoy the Piazza del Campo where the highly competitive Palio horse race is held on 2nd July and 16th August every year.

Wine lovers should not miss the small town of Montalcino (20 minutes) where you can taste and buy the famous Brunello di Montalcino wine directly from the producers.

There are excellent restaurants throughout the region, but if guests are keen to cook for themselves, the local markets are not to be missed. Pienza and Montalcino’s weekly markets are on Fridays.

The closest airports are Perugia, 1 hour and 30 minutes away and Florence, 1 hour 55 minutes. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of May 2024 to the 15th of October 2024 A damage deposit of 300EUR has to be paid locally. Gas charges to be paid on the spot: EUR 3.5 per m3
