Originally two room Cedar Hill School, built in 1900, Deep Roots Retreat is my fifth generation family home. My grandfather built all of the walls, custom cabinets and shelving transforming the schoolhouse into a home. My Granny welcomed everyone with open arms and a plate of food. Most notably, her homemade biscuits. Her biscuit cutters still hang in the kitchen as a tribute to her.
This is a home that has been lived in, cried in, celebrated in, grieved in, but most importantly loved in.

Payment Policy

We prefer payment by Venmo for your convenience. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the full balance due 30 days before your stay. If plans change, we kindly ask that cancellations be made at least 14 days before your reservation for a full refund. If a cancellation occurs within 14 days and we're able to re-book your dates, we’re happy to refund your deposit.

We love having pets at Deep Roots Retreat and want them to enjoy their stay as much as you do! To ensure their safety and comfort, please don’t leave them alone in the house or in the laundry room unsupervised. We also ask that dogs not be tethered to the porch railings or posts.
