Feel at home! Nestled in the pines, this year-round family-friendly cabin is conveniently located one block from the lake, adjacent to historic Old Brockway Golf Course, minutes to Northstar California Resort and downtown Kings Beach. The central location allows for easy access to all North Lake Tahoe has to offer, but the ability to relax in the mountains in a quiet neighborhood. The cabin is located around the corner from Safeway and Spindleshanks (the best kept secret on the north shore!)
The house has three floors. The main floor (with kitchen, living area and dining room) has the master bedroom with king bed across from a full bathroom. Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a queen bed and when you step out of that bedroom, you are in the den area with another queen bed. You have to walk through one to get to the other. On the bottom level, there is separate living area with a queen bedroom, bathroom be full kitchen. This gives the opportunity for some extra privacy- it has a separate entrance and has the option to connect to the main house through an indoor stairwell.

“Perfect vacation getaway ”

We had such a great stay! This is a wonderful home that accommodates families. Great location that is walking distance to the lake, grocery store, and downtown King's Beach shops and restaurants. We had a fabulous time celebrating my daughter's birthday here!! Everything is clean, well appointed, and a fun back patio with a hot tub. I highly recommend for a fun getaway!

Great place to stay for a weekend as it's a close drive to snowboarding/skiing slopes , South Lake Tahoe & area under a 10min walk to Safeway and to the Lake so it's a in a great location! Chelsea too was super nice and fast to respond to any questions :)

Wonderful place to stay and very spacious! We had a few things come up during the stay - internet went out and cold downstairs shower. Chelsea tried to fix these ASAP and was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone staying in north Tahoe.

We absolutely loved staying here and will be back. Very family friendly. We loved how the house is laid out. Great areas for gathering together and bedroom areas felt private. Living room couch fit 7 adults comfortably. Everyone loved it! Backyard was huge and safe for our toddler to explore. Had fun hanging out there too. Walking distance to town and the beach. Definitely my favorite place I’ve stayed at in the Tahoe area.

We had a wonderful weekend visit! We would definitely come back and bring even more friends next time. Ample space and a quick walk to ALL thing’s King’s Beach. Chelsea was great about communicating details and responding in a timely manner. Loved using the updated kitchen to cook dinner both nights and the grill came in handy too. The hot tub was a bonus in the backyard but it was a tad dirty (we ended up scrubbing the sides before we got in). We can’t wait to come back!

This place gives off a camping vibe while staying in a home. The house looks small on the outside and doesn’t intrude on the outdoorsy feel, but is very spacious inside. It felt very private. The spaces were beautiful and there was a lot provided to keep you entertained. The host is very responsive to questions. We very much so enjoyed our stay.

Getting around

Outdoor enthusiasts will love the easy access to beautiful beaches with paddle board, kayak, parasailing and jet-ski rentals in walking distance. Head out the front door and straight down the street to the golf course and three lakefront beach volleyball courts. Or head out the back door and up the street to connect to North Tahoe Regional Park, which offers hiking and mountain biking trails, disc golf course, olympic sized turf field, two playgrounds with swings, tennis courts, and Treetop Adventure Park. In the winter months, Northstar California Resort is a 12 minute drive where you can enjoy over 3,000 skiable acres in the majestic Martis Valley with a variety of slopes to suit every level of skier. The resort boasts world class terrain parks, a youth Adventure Park , cross country skiing and a 9,000 square foot ice rink surrounded by cozy fire pits. There is also plenty of shopping and dining! Diamond Peak, Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows are other nearby world class ski resorts. The North Tahoe Regional Park Sled Hill is a family favorite to enjoy the outdoors during the winter. Please dispose of all trash in bear box at the top of the driveway. Do not leave any food outside OR in cars. This is extremely important to limit bear activity. Trash day is Wednesday.

We ask that you please be courteous and respectful of our neighbors. We follow Placer County’s good neighbor policy which states:

"Amplified sound, meaning sound whose volume is increased by any electric, electronic, mechanical, or motor-powered means (such as speakers), shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line at any time.

Quiet hours shall be imposed from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. PST. No sound shall be audible from the parcel line of any short-term vacation rental unit during this time."

In the closet at the bottom of the stairwell down to the bottom level, there are some beach amenities for your use (Including corn hole bags in purple hiking bacpack).

Please use the hose in the backyard or the outdoor shower on the right side of the porch in the front of the house to rinse before using the hot tub. If there is an excessive amount of sand that requires a hot tub drain and refill (as determined by our hot tub servicing company) that additional expense will be deducted from your deposit.

Damage Deposit Policy

As a security deposit alternative, houfyProtect, an upfront nonrefundable low cost property damage protection policy for just $5 per night, is taken at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check in. No refund after that.

Notes

Please note that during the winter months from November- May, the outdoor dining table, chairs and fire pit will not be available for use. Due to the regularity of fires in the greater area, air quality is not an exception to our cancellation policy.
