Response:We are very saddened by this review as unfortunately it does not accurately depict our property. We never received a single e-mail or phone call from this guest with any concerns so this is extremely bothersome to us, but unfortunately you cannot make everyone happy. It is true the location is amazing and the home is wonderful which can be seen in our 20 other glowing reviews, including one from just the week prior. To start, we have never received any bad feedback regarding the master bed and in fact have been told it is very comfortable. We understand everyone has different needs in bedding, but do not find the bed to be old or need to be replaced as it is only 2 years old and is a Sealy Posturepedic. The window in the bunk bedroom is double paned but a single pane was broken a week prior by children playing and throwing items. Unfortunately this is not something that can be immediately fixed as we had to order a custom sized replacement window which takes weeks to come in as well as schedule a contractor replace it, with the only time to do this is on Saturday during turnovers which makes it exceptionally hard. It is currently scheduled to be replaced in September due to contractor availability and was boarded for safety purposes, which is the best we could do on short notice and needing to order the window, etc. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the screen door and unfortunately it was a mishap that the lawn company removed the wrong door at the wrong location and once we found out from our cleaning company that it had been done, we had to have it put back on. The downstairs basement is not climate controlled - this is 100% listed and advertised on our listing as not being climate controlled so we are unsure of why this is a disappointment. The mention of "college kids" also strikes me as amusing, as we have strict policy of only renting to families.
Please be assured that we do everything we can to keep the home in working order and want everyone to be happy during their vacation. Unfortunately for things like the window - accidents happen - and we can only do what we are able to do to. I would suggest that everyone please read the remainder of our wonderful reviews and take this with a grain of salt. No home is perfect, but we do take pride in providing a clean, beautiful home with wonderful amenities.

The house is located in a great area of Kitty Hawk and the pool and hot tub are great features that not many homes have. We actually have two beach accesses available – both are the same distance but one is to the right and the other to the left. We love this because we feel like we can switch it up and be a different beach during our stay. We agree the kitchen and second living room are great features – we had large families in mind when choosing the design. I appreciate your kind words on responsiveness. I do my best to give as much information as possible before your stay. I am available if you have any questions or problems, but do not contact you during your stay unless 100% necessary so you can enjoy your family vacation time.

My husband and I both grew up vacationing every year in the Outer Banks.
My family was the beach bum type. My mom has always been a lover of the beach so we spent every vacation on the beach as much as possible. From building sand castles, swimming, floating, boogie boarding, and having a nap on the beach...we knew how to relax! To this day my favorite thing to do is pack a picnic and eat lunch by the ocean. Seafood was always on the menu while at the beach so my dad would catch fish for us or go get us steamed crabs and shrimp!
My husbands family was more about the experience. They enjoyed visiting the aquarium, finding the best local restaurants, and playing putt putt. They knew how to find an adventure!
The two of us together are a pretty good mix of the two. We enjoy going and finding adventures but also love a good nap by the ocean.

We loved this house. Two bedrooms with ensuites and another full bath off living room. Beds are comfy and fenced in yard was crucial for our lab mix. Just an overall nice property. We would definitely stay here again.

A family friendly ocean-view stay at OBX
this was our first visit the the outer banks (OBX) but it will not be our last. We had an excellent stay at the Paradise Ocean View OBX. It is a great family friendly house, that easily accomodated 10 family members and our Lab mix dog. Roomy and comfortable. The Kitchen is stocked with excellent appliances and plenty of dishes and pans. It is a short walk to the ocean, but the fresh water shower and pool are excellent and were enjoyed by the whole family.
It is in a quiet family friendly neighborhood, but easily accessible to all the vacation support and activities we wanted. We enjoyed a day of Deep Sea Fishing and lots of time walking or body surfing at the beach.
We highly recommend this property, and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Best Find in OBX!
This was our first stay at The Outer Banks Beach Paradise House and we will definitely be back! We loved everything about this house! The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and the house was decorated very nicely! Adorable decorations throughout.
We took our parents, baby and dog with us on this trip and the house was accommodating for everyone in our group (even our pup). We especially appreciated the fact that the house had a nice bathing area for our baby, much more spacious than any other home we have rented in the Outer Banks. My parents really enjoyed laying by the pool, my husband and I spent most days taking the baby to the ocean. My parents loved the pool, as it was clean and beautiful. We went out several times during our stay and enjoyed the close proximity to restaurants and activities, but when we decided to stay in and cook it was nice to have a fully stocked kitchen (my mother is quite the chef and likes to get a bit fancy with meals).
The owner was great to work with and extremely responsive. I am already booking this house again next year! Can't say enough good things.

Great Location Run down home
The house is in a great location and is close to the beach. Pool, hot tub, and fenced in yard were great for our family. The house itself needs some TLC. The bed in the master bedroom is not comfortable and needs to be replaced. The side window in one of the bedrooms was busted out and patched with cardboard and a trash bag. The front door to the screened in porch was falling off and eventually removed by the lawn keepers. The downstairs does not have AC therefore the game room was not used. The home reminded us of something a bunch of college kids had rented and not taken care of. Sadly, we were disappointed.

Awesome!
We spend the week of July 4th at Paradise by the Sea with all our children and had a great time. The location is fantastic, just a two minutes walk from the beach which was not crowded at all. The house had everything we needed and was clean. The kitchen was well stocked in utensils which I appreciated as we cooked every day in the house. The beds were comfortables and we had more than enough space even though we were 8. The fenced yard, pool and spa outside were a great plus for us with our dog and kids. I also want to thank the owner, Elisabeth for her quick and friendly answers while booking. The location in Kitty Hawk is perfect and we were able to grocery shop, visit the Wright Memorial and go places like restaurants and mini golf very easily. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. In conclusion, it's a nice place to spend a week vacation!

Look no further this is the perfect beach house
Location location location!!! 5 min walk to the beach, walking distance to restaurants and shops,private pool+ hut tub and pet friendly.... Need I say more???
My husband and I were looking for a last minute getaway with our pug to OBX. We are so happy to have found this gem. Although this house is big and is meant to accommodate families, it was just perfect for us 3. It was everything we hoped it would be. The location was terrific, just a short walk to the beach. That was the most important thing for us. Kitty Hawk beach is beautiful and it is one of the only beaches in OBX and the east coast in general that is pet friendly all year long. The house it self was clean and super cute. It truly felt like a beach paradise. The neighborhood is quiet and the back yard is big and we just loved lounging out by the pool.
The owners are super nice and helpful with with anything you need. What you see is what you get and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants a vacay in the OBX.

Everything Is Accessible
Great place one block from the ocean but also close to stores, restaurants and parks. Huge kitchen table for the whole family to have meals together and a nice king size bed for mom and dad. The dog loved it. Definitely will come back.

Great Trip for my first time in OBX!
Elizabeth was great about getting back to me on all of my questions both before and during my stay. The house was nice and it was very dog friendly - with a fenced in yard. I was only a 2 minute walk from the beach and right in the heart of Kitty Hawk (mile post 4.5).

Family Time at the Beach!
We LOVED our stay at The Outer Banks Beach Paradise during the July 4th holiday. Talk about starting vacation with a bang! Fireworks everywhere to welcome us! This house is located in Kitty Hawk at about Mile Post 4.5 between the beach road and the bypass, much closer to the beach road! The walk to the beach was minimal, down about 4 houses and then about 3 lots to the beach road, cross the road to the access walk to the beach. The boarded access walkway over the dunes was easy, not to high and the beach was beautiful! This section of the beach is well maintained and has lots area to play, sit and stroll. We swam all week, and the lifeguards were roving back and forth throughout the day. Everyone in our party knew how to swim so not having a permanent guard was a non issue. There is a public beach and bathhouse just to the south, a long walk, or a short drive, if you want a guard, OR if you want to come Sat, miss the traffic onto the island, stay at the beach while you wait until the house is ready, this is the way to go! The house is SO comfortable and maintained. The parking was ample, and with 4 cars we needed that. We were a party of 9 adults and 2 dogs and we had more than enough room for more. We especially liked the open floor plan of the kitchen! We sat around the table for dinner and made most of our meals there with more than 1 cook in the kitchen that was great! The kitchen had everything we needed! I was pleasantly surprised! The pool and the hot tub made this home extra special! The deck off the back was nice and the fenced in yard was a bonus for the dogs and privacy for us. I would have liked a better view of the ocean but the pool and hot tub were the trade off, and we all agreed that it was worth it! The owner was very quick to respond to my questions before the trip and everything went as planned so I did not need to talk to her during our trip! Nice. We visited the Sand Dunes, the piers, shopping, and had already done the Wright Brothers Memorial and The Lost Colony Outdoor Theatre. All are recommended if you visit! The weather was so nice we did not want to leave the beach or the pool. When we did come in for the night the extra living room gave the house a great way for everyone to relax, either together or for some private time to read. TV's are everywhere and the interior decorating was light, tasteful, new and beach themed. I loved having the washer, dryer, and extra fridge on the ground floor. We would rent this house again!
