Upon arrival, you'll find a charming personal garden space surrounded by mature greenery and towering Doug Fir trees. Relax in a hammock or on a garden swing, perfect for spending quality time together.

The highlight of this retreat is a secluded hot tub, discreetly located on the deck between camellia and andromeda trees. It's a tranquil spot to enjoy the garden views and each other's company in complete privacy.

Owl Forest Studio caters to couples, whether you're celebrating your love, taking a break on a journey, or exploring the Portland area. You'll have your own separate entrance and off-street parking, ensuring a secure and private experience. For your safety, there's a single surveillance camera on the driveway – the only one on the property.

With a quarter-acre dedicated solely to Owl Forest Studio, you'll enjoy ample visual privacy despite being on a moderately busy street, which may result in some traffic noise during peak hours.

This is actually a private forest oasis, a truly quiet and peaceful getaway in the middle of the city! Debi was incredibly thoughtful, and made the space feel totally comfortable. Personal touches and excellent amenities went a long way here. We will definitely be staying here again in the future! Can’t recommend it enough!

Took a break from work to get some peace of mind and found a great place courtesy of the awesome Debi . House was exactly as described . Hot tub works great TAKE ADVANTAGE 🙏. Kitchen works great and they have a large fridge too. Bed is very comfortable , bathroom is perfect with soap, shampoo AND conditioner dispensers . Debi and her husband live on the other side of hate but they are pretty quiet and not nosy. Be respectful of their property and they will do the same. It’s about 20 mins from downtown and very serene . If you’re looking for solitude this is definitely the place for you 🙏 would definitely come back again 10/10 recommend if you want to get away and unwind

What a charming place! The perfect size for two people and it had exactly what we needed in the kitchen with a full size fridge and labeled doors for finding things. The most efficient and workable use of space I have ever seen in an airbnb! The hot tub was also lovely, especially on a cold winter night. And I loved that we could program the door lock ourselves with our own easy to remember number. The amount of times I have been outside an airbnb praying that my 1% phone battery is enough to search for the door code is not zero.

We loved our stay. Having a private spot to relax (with a hot tub) which was only 0.5 miles from the clinic my wife was visiting was amazing. The bed was comfy, the place was clean and cozy, and we really appreciated that there were snacks in the unit when we arrived (because we had had a long travel day and needed a snack before we ventured out to go shopping). We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone traveling to Portland.

A wonderful and cozy getaway a short drive from downtown Portland. The place had everything we needed and more. Clean and well stocked with minor supplies, a hot tub and romantic swing chair. I loved the privacy and comfort of the home. Debi and Robb were so nice and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely re-visit when I'm back in the area.

What a gem of a place!!! It truly is a slice of heaven. Sitting on the deck listening to the birds & squirrels, we forgot where we were! Then the sound of traffic would sneak in & remind us we were still in Portland. It’s minutes from the I-5. I was amazed every time. One minute we were walking under the canopy of old growth Douglas firs then the next we were on the freeway off to our next Portland adventure. Crazy but wonderful! The studio was perfect! Cozy, very clean, comfortable King size bed, kitchenette set up so wisely & well stocked. The whole place exudes warmth and peacefulness!!! Thank you, Debi & Rob, for sharing your oasis.

Lovely place! Private driveway and entrance. Private yard with a nice fence. Lovely backyard to hang out in. Hot tub, swing, hammock, table and chairs and even a cute mini zipline! Felt welcome and cozy during our stay. Seemed like a very central location to the Portland area as we did a lot of exploring. Great neighborhood - peaceful. Enjoyed this stay for part of my honeymood and would gladly stay again.

Our stay at the Owl Studio was wonderful. It is definitely your own private oasis but still super close to everything. Rob and Deb were wonderful hosts. They had great suggestions and were quick with their responses to any questions we threw their way. Everything was clean and cozy and there were even fresh flowers waiting for us on arrival which I loved. We will be back! 10/10 would recommend!!

I found this place for our first visit to Portland and am so glad we discovered this oasis as a homebase. The hosts are very responsive to questions and updates about checking in. The location is wonderful, with so many places to eat and things to do in a short drive. When we arrived we got a warm welcome and orientation on where everything was and how to work the lock. The garden area is gorgeous and such a therapeutic place to read in the hammock and hang out among trees and nature. The hot tub was perfect after a day of wandering and there are towels and robes available so I didn't have to stress about packing. The bed is extremely comfy, honestly the best sleep I've ever had was here and my husband felt the same way. The kitchen is very well stocked if you plan to stay awhile and there's a huge fridge for storage. The bathroom is very clean with soap and shampoo dispenser like a hotel would have. Overall I loved staying here and can't wait to be back for another visit. Thanks again Debi!

We've been renting since 2008; we co-founded Host2Host.org (a trade association for hosts) and have 7 lovely grandchildren. Debi is an avid gardener; Rob's passions range from being president of our local neighborhood association, to biking and family.

Getting around

Located just a block off Interstate 5 and 1/4 mile from the Sylvania Campus of PCC. A car is recommended, although we are on the 78 bus line and there is a transit center just a mile away. If you are flying in, you can Max (train) to downtown Portland and Uber/Lyft out from there. Cost will be around $15. Landmark Ford just over the bridge offers cheapest car rentals in town!
