Trade in the long drive home for a relaxing stay at our chalet! Our open concept cabin is nestled amongst the trees for you to relax in nature. It features a gas fireplace to cozy up, a spacious kitchen to cook meals with family and friends, while enjoying deck views from dusk till dawn. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms with new King size mattresses ready to help you unwind for a restorative night sleep. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and both bedrooms feature sliders for views and deck access. Our living room features a Sofa-Sleeper with a new Memory Foam Mattress to accommodate additional sleeping arrangements. Need to work? Weve got WiFi (400 + Mbps), ample speed for multiple devices! We also have Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and a DVD assortment of classics from the 80s, 90s and 2000s!

For your safety we recommend 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive and all terrain tires during the snow season. It is advisable to carry chains. Check road conditions prior to travel. Caltrans (https://roads.dot.ca.gov) for HWY 108.

We aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Understanding and complying with our rules will make for a comfortable and fun stay for everyone.
HOUSE RULES
Check in at 4 pm - self check in.
Check out at 11 am. Please see “Check out” list.
FIRE/SMOKING/DRUGS
Absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind in the home or on the property. We are located in a high fire risk area.
NO open flames/burning candles.
Do not leave any source of heat on while away from the cabin (oven, stove, hair styling tools) Wall furnace may be left in the lowest setting while away for the day.
NO DRUGS/ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the rental agreement will be terminated, the authorities will be notified, and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS located under the kitchen sink and entry closet.
FIRST AID KIT in bathroom.
SECURITY
SECURITY CAMERAS on home exterior only, door and driveway.
Home security system: if you would like to engage the system when away from the home, set the wall keypad to “AWAY.”
Press “LOCK” on the door keypad to lock the door, upon exiting for any outing and checkout.
The smart lock/keypad is a manual deadbolt from the inside.
TRAVEL/PARKING
PARKING/DRIVEWAY: suitable for up to 3 cars. The driveway is a little steep. We suggest a small SUV or larger. Sometimes a longer hitch can scrape. Avoid this by staying to the right side of the drive way when entering. Street parking is not available.
WINTER/SNOW season: for your safety we recommend 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive and all terrain tires. It is advisable to carry chains. Check road conditions prior to travel. Caltrans (https://roads.dot.ca.gov) for HWY 108.
SNOW REMOVAL: During snow season the roads are plowed once a day by the county. If snow is heavy, like during a snowstorm, we will make an effort to have the driveway plowed for your arrival. If you would like plow service during your stay use the contact list of services in the area, at guest’s expense. Snow shovels are available upon arrival should you need them. Salt also available at the top of the driveway.
FLOODLIGHT: there is 2 way switch at the bottom of the stairs. It is labeled “dual” inside the house entry. You should be able to switch it on outside when it is dark, in case you arrive late or have a late outing. Please switch it off once inside. If you could try to remember to leave the “dual” switch ON, but the flood light OFF so we don't waste electricity that would be helpful to us and the next guest.
HEATING
GAS FIREPLACE: on/off switch located inside the front panel (bottom set of buttons, far right switch). The far left dial can be used to adjust fan speed. Please do not adjust other settings. Note: the fan is automatic and will run for some time after the fireplace is turned off.
WALL FURNACE: adjust to a comfortable setting on the thermostat. There is a fan on the top portion of the unit to help circulate the warm air. Please use it intermittently.
PORTABLE SPACE HEATERS: we ask you keep the heaters plugged into designated outlets. Other outlet locations tend to cause the breaker to trip.
ELECTRIC WALL UNITS: in the bedroom. Slide dresser / table a least 1 foot away for safety.
ELECTRIC CONSOLE HEATER: on/off switch and adjust the “thermostat” icon botton.
MAINTAIN SAFE CLEARANCE around all heating sources. NO FLAMMABLE materials near any heat source.
Extra blankets are located in the bedroom closets.
PARTIES/LARGE GATHERINGS
PARTIES strictly prohibited. If guests are found to have had a party, which results in extra cleaning, guests will be responsible for an extra cleaning charge of $200 and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
GUESTS
Listing is for 5-6 max overnight guests. Any visitors must be pre approved by the host. Maximum of 8 people total in the house at any one time, including yourselves as guests plus visitors.
All visitors must abide by the house rules.
NO Overnight guests not included in reservation. Violation will result in extra guest fees.
QUIET HOURS between 10 pm and 7 am. Be considerate of our Mi Wuk Village neighbors as many residents live here part/full time.
PETS
NO Pets allowed.
We are not allowing guests to bring pets at this time. We do have a small family dog which we bring along at times. If you have an allergy to dogs, this cabin may not be suited for you.
CHILDREN SAFETY
Guests are fully responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times.
BATHROOM
CAUTION: water gets very HOT.
Use the FAN while showering to prevent excessive moisture in the bathroom.
Use only the gray make up towels provided for makeup removal.
Do not flush anything besides natural waste and the toilet paper provided (septic safe), not even products labeled “flushable.”
KITCHEN/BBQ
In sink garbage disposal: No large food scraps, coffee grounds or cooking grease/oil down the drain.
CAUTION: WATER gets very HOT.
Recyclable items may go into the can under the sink.
DO NOT USE refrigerator waterline/ice maker You are welcomed to use our Brita water filter.
BBQ
Turn off the propane after use to ensure the tank isn't empty for the next guest.
Do not use the BBQ next to the window as it may crack from the heat.
Clean grill and utensils after use. If found left dirty and requires extra cleaning, a fee of $25 may be applied.
WET LAKE or SNOW GEAR
Towel dry any wet / dirty shoes, gear, lake toys etc with towels labeled “utility” only. They can be found in the entry way closet and the laundry area.
Use boot brush to remove snow/salt off shoes. Please no wet shoes with ice or salt on our floors.
Wet boots in the tray please.
Skis or snowboard equipment that is wet may be kept on the balcony/deck.
If jackets feel damp they may be hung in the closet but leave the door OPEN to prevent excessive moisture from accumulating.
FURNITURE
Please respect our home and do not take any items from our cabin. The closet in the master bath is the owners, please do not attempt to open it.
You will be responsible for any damages to the home interior or exterior, appliances, items etc. we understand accidents happen and appreciate your honesty. In case we have evidence of damage, we request fair market price to repair or replace items.
Items/equipment you can take to the lake/snow must be returned (lake towels, snow and lake toys)
Please do not rearrange the furniture, if you need to, please return to original placement.
PLAY PEN is in the guest bedroom. It needs to be on the SLIDERS when moved to preserve our flooring. Replace the sliders back into the bag when done using.
OUTDOOR CUSHIONS are located in the cabinet next to the counter stools and in the guest bedroom closet.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
POWER OUTAGES
In the summer and during severe winter weather, there tends to be power outages, usually for a short period of time, but can be days at a time in winter. Be aware this is common for our area and be prepared to be flexible with your plans.
In the case of a power outage during the winter - you will still have house heating (wall gas furnace), ability to cook (gas stove, propane BBQ), a few lanterns for light, and we have our wifi connected to batteries. We do not know how long the batteries will last as we have not had to use them.
CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
If a cleaning or maintenance issue arises, the guest shall notify the owner to try to resolve the issue as quickly as reasonably possible. We do not have anyone on call 24/7. Notifications of cleaning and/or maintenance issues or deficiencies at the time of check out, after, or that never were reported to the owner (and owner not given the opportunity to correct at the time of discovery) are not eligible for refunds.
SECURITY DEPOSIT may be for used damages (fair market price), additional cleaning, repairs and/or any house rules broken. Refunded within 7 days after check out.
Lastly we hope you enjoy your stay and ask you leave the cabin as you found it for the next guest to enjoy.

No Refunds will be given Due to Weather, Power Outages, Road Closures, Snowed in/out, Cancelled Flights, Events or other issues out of host's control. We recommend all guests get their own travel insurance.
