Welcome to our "Ohana" (family) Adventure House set in the Sierras. Whether you're here to enjoy the views of sequoias by the fire, relax with a cappuccino or wine from nearby Murphys, hike the Arnold Rim Trail, or ski and romp in the snow in Bear Valley – Arnold is Nature's reset.
Come unplug and rejuvenate, or work-from-Arnold with our fast WIFI. Arnold has the best of the Sierras without the Tahoe crowds.

UPSTAIRS
The main living space is a large open open concept with exposed beams with a spacious dining table roomy for 8, and a welcoming living room with cathedral windows where you can gaze at the wood burning stove or the treetops.
A coffee bar sets the stage for your morning with a DeLonghi espresso machine or pour over for you to enjoy with handmade ceramics on the deck, don't worry, waking at sunrise not required.

Kitchen is equipped with instantpot, vitamix blender, immersion blender, and cast irons and quality pots and pans, and cutco chef's knife. Food is life;we don't mess around.

There are 2 bedrooms with queens upstairs with a shared bath with tub.

DOWNSTAIRS:
A whole second living room with Roku TV is a great spot for kids or movie night.
The larger 3rd bedroom has a queen and twin bunks.
A second bathroom downstairs has a shower.

The deck has been furnished for outdoor entertaining and mountain views. A comfy couch and large dining table make it a place for family and friends to hang out from sunrise through stargazing.

RESPECTFUL ENJOYMENT
We do not permit parties and noise ordinance is in effect. We have an outdoor camera that monitors the driveway. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Please enjoy what the home has to offer, and respect the home as your own so future families can enjoy.
Pets are at owner's discretion and consent. Please discuss with owner in advance.
If damages happen, please let the owner know right away to avoid being charged at the end of your stay.

Amazing amenities We were so pleased with our stay at the Ohana cabin. We were a group of 8, including kids and everyone had plenty of comfortable space. The downstairs bedroom with the bunk worked so well for our family. The amenities throughout the cabin were top notch. Well stocked kitchen, amazing coffee/tea station and great linens. The host was quick to respond and had some great suggestions for nearby hikes. The working member of our party said the Internet was fast and reliable. We’d definitely book again.

What a wonderful home for a family getaway! Henri was super easy to communicate with, both before and during our stay. We had 4 adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs & the space was large enough for all of us to spread out, between the main living area, den, and deck. We daily made use of the coffee bar, and enjoyed the local coffee supplied. The linens were super soft and light weight, perfect for the hotter days. The house is on a 0.5 mile circle street and we walked it several nights, enjoying the quiet & cooler evening weather. The lake and big trees state park are short drives away and worth visiting!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the Ohana adventure house! Sitting out on the deck amidst the trees drinking cold beer after an epic mountain bike ride was definitely a highlight. The trails are right out the front door! The house was beautifully furnished, and the coffee station rocked. We'll definitely be back to experience other seasons at this gorgeous house!

To help ensure a 5 star stay, please review the following house rules and guidelines Shoes/Paws: The Ohana Adventure House highly encourages getting out in nature, dirt and all….we just ask that it stay outside. We are surrounded by Pines and Cedars which mean sap will be stuck to your shoes. Please leave dirty shoes and paws outside. There are some towels and rags designated for pups. Owner’s items: We have some shelves/closets labeled owner’s items. We kinds ask that those be left for the owners. Septic: Please put food waste in the garbage and not down the drain. There is a garbage disposal but it is only meant to handle small amounts of food from after scraping. Eco-conscious choices The house has been set up to conserve resources without compromising a great experience (just a bit different). You will notice active reduce/reuse in place, with quality items that we try to take care of. We will walk guests through what practices we have in place. We and the earth appreciate your participation Grill: Please leave the grill clean and propane turned off after use. Garbage: Guests need to run their garbage to the dump when they leave, as there is limited garbage service here in the mountains. There is a lovely transfer station in Avery 4mi down the road. 4541 Segale Rd, Avery, CA 95224 Directions Pet Rules: Pets are at owner discretion and permission and must agree to house rules explicitly. There is a waste bin outside for pet waste. Please take it with you when you go to the dump. Please keep pets off the furnishings. Pets should not be left in the house unattended without a crate. No smokingNo parties or eventsCheck-in is anytime after 3:00 PM

Refundable Damage Deposit

A refundable security deposit of $400 will be collected at time of full payment. This will be returned to you after inspection of the property.

No pets without owner consent, no smoking, no large gatherings or parties.

Full refund if cancelled 30 days or more before your stay, 50% between 14 and 30 days, less than14 days no refund.

Welcome to the mountains! Windows: We love the light and the windows and we have limited window dressings. IF this will cause an issue, please bring eye masks. Mountain Living: Screen doors: Please do not leave doors open without screens. Bats and Mosquitos like your company, ok just the mosquitos...but getting bats out of the house is not fun. Energy: Please note extreme weather is now a new normal, so that means power outages are more common. We unplug the washing machine when not in use to avoid shortages. We also actively practice conservation choices as part of the house to be mindful of the drought and energy consumption. Wildlife We have a professional cleaner but cobwebs are a part of life here. Other creatures may visit: coyotes, foxes, squirrels and bears. We do our best to enjoy our space while respecting theirs. See House Rules . Garbage: Wildlife + snow means no garbage service in the area. We ask that all guests take their recycling and trash with them when they leave ( you can leave cardboard). This is the norm here in Arnold and we have a great transfer station 4mi away right off Hwy 4 that makes it easy
