We were very happy with our stay. There were 11 of us and it was the perfect amount of space. Michael was so responsive and helpful. We are already looking forward to our next trip to the OBX!

Our first family vacation to Rodanthe, The home was on a quiet street and had all the amenities and more for our large age diverse family. There was something for everyone to do and this home offered enough space to do. Micheal was a famtastic host!

We had a great time, plenty of room for everyone. The pool and hot tub were great and the beach was right out behind the house. Not a lot of shopping so we drove to Nagshead for that. The walk to the beach wasn’t bad going up the dune but on the Oceanside it was a complete drop off and very high due to weather conditions Pryor to our stay I’m guessing. It was difficult for some to get down and even more so to try and climb back up. There’s nothing that could be done about that. Just Mother Nature at work! Aside from that it was a great vacation. Would recommend going there.

Breakwater is a great location with the ocean and beach right in walking distance. The house has everything you need and the host, Mike is very friendly and helpful. This place is great for a family looking to relax and have fun

Mike was a great host. He was very response to our requests and provided helpful information about the area. The house was spacious and very clean. Starter cleaning supplies and starter paper goods were provided. There was a variety of Keurig coffee pods. We had 3 small children who loved the swimming pool. For a fee, the pool can be heated. I highly recommend paying for that option since it allowed us to enjoy a day outdoors comfortably when it was cloudy and windy. Mike has a beach wagon, beach and pool toys, beach chairs, etc. stored in the garage area. The path to the ocean to the right of the house was steep once you got to the top of the dunes, and we planned our beach day to coincide with low tide to enjoy a wider beach area. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciate Mike allowing our pets to join us.

Clean home with comfortable beds and furniture. Plenty of seating at dining room table and around pool. Beachfront with short walk to ocean. Important to note that the beach is very narrow outside this home - obviously not the fault of the homeowner. Also important to note that the game and theater rooms are not connected to the home - you enter through a door to the garage. This space is not air conditioned and although comfortable it is not especially cool. Pool was great with a fun basketball hoop. Michael was a great host and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.
