Divided into two distinct sections spread across a spacious single level floor plan, guests can find the perfect spot that suits them best at any given moment. An open area combines living, dining and cooking, coupled with updated modern décor that welcomes visitors for that overdue getaway.
Start the day with a cup of coffee or a bowl of cereal at the kitchen peninsula bar counter. Enjoy vistas and watch the sun rise and set over the mountains while preparing favorite meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Culinary creations can be enjoyed indoors at the dining area. Outdoor lovers can opt to grill a favorite meal and dine al fresco on the patio, then take in the brightening stars as night falls in the expansive backyard area. As the day draws to a close, wind down in the spacious living area. Whether curling up with a favorite book, watching your favorite show or movie on the large flat-screen Roku smart television or playing one of the provided board games, there is plenty to keep one entertained.
After the end of a day of adventure and exploration, guests can find peace and relaxation in one of two nicely appointed bedrooms in a separate wing of the home. The larger bedroom features two beds with an en-suite bathroom and an additional flat-screen Roku smart television. The second bedroom offers an intimate space with a private work station, ideal for taking Zoom calls when working remotely. Located next to the bedroom is an additional bathroom, which features an accessible walk-in tub and shower suited for those with mobility needs. Guests can also use the pull out sleeper sofa in the living area for the night and awake to the picturesque scenery of the surrounding mountains. Everyone will be sure to get a serene night’s rest at this tranquil getaway.
Explore the historical and quaint town of Kernville for Whiskey Flat Days. Hit the slopes at Alta Sierra. Get an adrenaline fix from white water rafting on the Kern River. Take in the fresh air and incredible scenery on one of the areas hiking trails. Simply enjoy a relaxing day out fishing or boating on Lake Isabella. All of these are possible during your stay at Oakridge Ranch where there is something for everyone!

Our home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Please be respectful of our community and neighbors. Parties, events, or large gatherings are strictly prohibited. In addition, excessive noise at any time is never allowed and quiet hours are in place every day between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
The sleeping arrangements at our home can accommodate up to 8 guests with 2 queen beds in the primary bedroom, a queen bed in the guest bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room.
We welcome responsible and responsive guests over the age of 21. Any and all persons staying or visiting the property must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian.
A copy of the guests government issued ID must be shared with the host upon a confirmed reservation. This is for safety and security purposes and is strictly required in order to stay at our home.
Pets allowed with restrictions and additional fees (please see house rules).
If a guest cancels a reservation, all eligible refunds will be governed by the cancellation policy agreed upon at time of booking. No refunds outside of the cancellation policy will be possible unless a mandatory evacuation is ordered for the area. Thus, it is highly recommended that all guests purchase trip cancellation/interruption insurance. In the event that a guest cannot make a trip due to a family emergency, illness, bad weather, flight/rental car cancellation, job loss, COVID-19 ban/restriction, etc., the guest should seek reimbursement through their travel insurance.
Mother Nature’s creatures both great and small also reside in the area in which our home is situated. We subscribe to regularly scheduled pest control services so our guests can have an enjoyable stay. Despite measures we have taken to keep the home free of such events, it is not uncommon to have a stray visitor come into the house through an open door or window even if left ajar for a brief moment. While we cannot be held responsible for encounters with pests or wildlife inside or outside the home, if notified immediately of such an occurrence, arrangements can be made to accordingly try to address the issue. No refunds will be offered for these encounters.
Property has 4 motion-activated exterior security cameras (at front door, driveway, backyard, and side yard) that record sound and video 24/7 and decibel monitoring sensors inside and outside of the home to ensure neighborhood noise levels are respected. Tampering/removing equipment will result in a minimum fine of $300.

Due to the nature of the vacation rental business, we cannot accept cancellations occurring later than 45 days to the arrival date. You will forfeit all sums paid unless we are able to re-rent the property, in which case we will refund an amount equal to any subsequent rental less a $100 handling fee. If a cancellation occurs prior to 45 days to arrival, full refund will be issued less a $100 handling fee.
