Poipu Sands #225 and has new owners and completed a full renovation in June (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) to make this space even more fabulous! Just listed on Airbnb, we are excited to begin hosting guests.

The location of this complex is perfectly situation between the luxurious amenities of the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa and the splendor and natural beauty of the Poipu coastline.

OWNERS' FAVORITE FEATURES:
-Two super private, covered, spacious lanais. If you want to spend time enjoying the ocean views with a cup of coffee or glass of wine, this is the place!
-Fabulous, modern pool perfect for cooling off.
-Two levels with plenty of privacy and space for the family to spread out.

ABOUT THE CONDO:
-Entry on the 2nd floor with spacious living and dining rooms, kitchen, bedroom (double bed + kids bunk bed for age ~7 and under), adjoining full bathroom, and large lanai.
-On the 3rd floor is the luxurious master suite with California King bed, full bathroom (dual vanities), and private lanai with sweeping ocean views.
-Unit sleeps a max of 6 people: 4 adults + 2 small kids; or 2 adults + 2 big kids + 2 small kids. Small kids are ~7 and younger. Floor futon can be made available for additional flexibility.
-Washer and dryer in unit.
-Kitchen is fully equipped with large french door refrigerator, Cuisinart coffee maker, Vitamix blender, Instant Pot, pots, pans, toaster, microwave, hot water kettle, waffle maker, BBQ tools (for any one of the many community grills), etc. Everything you need to cook great meals at home!
-Gear closet is equipped with beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, sand toys, tennis rackets, yoga mat, dumbbells, soccer ball, beach umbrella, and many other items to have lots of outdoor fun!
-Family friendly with children's items available upon request: pack-and-play (portable crib), books, toys, utensils/cups, games, car booster seat.
-Please note that our unit does not have AC (central AC and split units are not allowed by Poipu Sands HOA). We have brand new ceiling fans in all rooms and the unit gets great ocean breezes.
-Entry to the unit requires walking up 1 flight of stairs.

We really enjoyed this property based on proximity to multiple beaches (we walked), the pool and to shopping. We took advantage of hotel restaurants close by for breakfast and the fully stocked kitchenware when we ate in. Parking was always easy to find near the unit and air flow inside was great with multiple ceiling fans and a strong breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

This place is amazing! It was a little further from the beach than we wanted, but the quality and feel of the space was well worth it. All the beach gear was a huge perk, great if you have little ones. There was plenty of sunscreen and after sun care products that made it really easy, we didn’t have to go and buy it much. It was conveniently located near the pool, great for a quick dip. The beds were comfortable and had both firm and soft pillow options. Overall we were greatly pleased with the space.

Response:Poipu Sands is 400 yards from the ocean. It is 0.4 mile to Shipwreck Beach (the closest sandy beach). Shipwreck fronts the Grand Hyatt Kauai and is great for sunning, watching whales/sunset, but is rough (known as a body-boarding spot) so not great for swimming with small children. Poipu Beach park is 0.9 mile and is the closest lifeguarded beach perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing (also has facilities and a public park).

Jodee's place was perfect for our family of four. The location on the 2nd/3rd floors allowed for great ventilation the entire time (really made no difference that the unit does not have A/C between the tradewinds and the ceiling fans), and the array of beach toys/chairs/etc really made our vacation that much more enjoyable. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent rental! Fully stocked with beach items so you don’t have to worry about buying or bringing those on your trip. Very accommodating as well for traveling families of all ages. For example, there were multiple booster seats for our infants waiting for us upon arrival! Would definitely recommend this rental especially to families!

Our friend had a wedding at the Hyatt, so this was the perfect location for us to stay for the week. The pool was awesome, and the lanai was perfect for catching the sunrise every morning. The place was spotless, parking was easy. Super easy drive from the airport, and if you’re doing any activities on the south side of Kauai or want to be equidistant from Waimea Canyon and Hanalei Bay, this is the perfect spot. I hope we can come back soon!

Very nice condo in a desirable location. We loved the few-minute walk to the beach to watch the sunrise every morning, and it was nice to be near a selection of restaurants and shopping. Jodee has one of the best equipped kitchens I’ve seen in a rental and, along with the grills on the property grounds, it made cooking easy. The first floor bedroom was a bit warm, but the one on the upper floor gets a nice cross breeze from the sliding door, and we slept comfortably even without air conditioning. Thank you, Jodee, for all the special touches you provide!

What a great experience! Jodee is the perfect host with excellent communication, was very responsive and helpful (gave us a wonderful list of restaurants across the island), and was so thoughtful about many small touches that made us feel welcome and comfortable. Everything is exactly as shown and described in the posting (unit is beautiful and immaculate)! The bathrooms have generous supplies of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. There’s a closet full of beach towels, snorkel gear, beach cart, beach chairs, and more! We truly enjoyed everything about our stay and can’t wait to go back!

The condo was great and even better than the photos. It felt like “home” with everything that you need on vacation. We kept the sliding doors open at night and could hear the waves crashing (it’s closer than what the photos show). We loved walking to the nearby Shipwreck beach… and the Hyatt is right next door too with various shops and restaurants. My daughter and I like to run and there was a nice running path nearby. Jodee was a gracious host!

We are a 5 minute walk to Kauai Bus stop. While this is the most cost-effective way to see the island, it is time consuming and schedules are restrictive. Pedego bike rental is a 5-10 minute walk away. This is a great way to see Poipu/Koloa. Rental cars are your best bet for seeing the island on your own schedule with maximum flexibility.

Reservation may be cancelled up to 60 days prior with no penalty (any deposit paid will be refunded).
