Our modern-chic cabin, 8 miles from the south entrance of Lassen National Park, is the perfect basecamp for your Lassen adventures.

The Master Bedroom has a king bed and Bedroom 2 has a queen. Relax in our comfortable chairs next to the crackling wood stove. Cook your favorite meals in our fully stocked kitchen. Practice yoga in our loft studio. Or simply curl up in our sofa and catch up on your reading!

Our 2018 cabin is 750 sq. ft., modern, and big on space for a family/group of five. With barn doors for bedrooms and designer fixtures and fittings, it's that cabin you are wanting to build yourself!

The living room has a comfortable sofa and two chairs and stocked with books and board games for those lazy "but I hiked yesterday" days. A crackling wood stove keeps the living room warm while you cook or relax listening to music or watching TV. Stream your favorite music on our Sonos speakers. Our Roku TV lets you sign into your favorite streaming channels for digital entertainment.

The deck off living room has comfortable chairs to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning or engage in after dinner conversations and games.

Kitchen: The kitchen is fully stocked with all the appliances and cookware you would need for cooking including an Instant Pot. For the coffee lover, we have Hario pour over setup, a Ninja coffee maker, and a Mokapot along with a burr coffee grinder.

Master Bedroom: The Master Bedroom has a king bed, a work desk and chair. It has reach out reading lights for comfortable reading in bed.

Bedroom 2: Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a short/narrow twin that will work for a kid or a teen.

Loft: Loft has a queen futon for extra sleeping space. It is setup to be a yoga/meditation studio with yoga mats and an exercise ball. Think of this space as a sanctuary within a sanctuary!

Bathroom: The bathroom has dual sinks and a large shower. We have a tankless hot water heater to supply endless amount of hot water for your showers. A full size washer and dryer is inside the bathroom as well.

Amenities: We supply towels, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and laundry detergent.

California has some great national parks and we visit them multiple times a year with our three boys to hike, backpack, and watch and photograph wildlife. We host three homes on Airbnb - one near Yosemite and two just outside Lassen National Park.

Policies and Rules

Check In: 4PM - Flexible

Check-in time is 4PM or later. Checkout time is 10AM. You will self-checkin using the door code that we send you three days before check in date. Check in and check out times are due to the cleaning crew making sure the house is ready for your arrival as well as those arriving after your stay. Some flexibility in earlier check in and later check out times, but only if arranged in advance and if it works with our housekeeper schedule.

Minimum age limit for renters: 25

Booker should be at least 25 years old

House Rules

We expect you will respect our home and follow the rules below:

No Unregistered Guests or Pets:
Absolutely NO unregistered guests or pets without prior approval even for partial stays. Please contact us immediately if you have additional guests or pets.

Security Cameras:
There are cameras in a place for your protection. If the cameras are tampered with, you will be asked to leave the property immediately. There are no cameras inside the home as we respect your privacy.

No shoes in the house:
Absolutely no shoes in the house. We have a shoe rack upfront near the door. We appreciate your cooperation.

Smoking/Drug Policy:
Absolutely NO smoking in the house. No exceptions! If you do smoke outside, please be courteous and clean up your butts/ash. Evidence of smoking will result in additional cleaning fees of $500. Please note that this is a HIGH FIRE THREAT AREA.- Make sure your cigarette butts outdoors are properly extinguished.

Water and Septic:
DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $1000.

Good neighbors:
Parties or other noisy activities are not permitted on the property. We are located in a rural residential neighborhood and the Homeowner takes great care to maintain good relations with neighbors. Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am.

Pet Rules:
If you are bringing your pet, please let us know when you book. We charge $50/per pet per stay. One pet charge is $50/stay and two pets is $100/stay. Pet must be house broken - Pets are NOT allowed on any furniture or beds - Pet MUST NOT be left unattended at home anytime - You should pick up after the pet in and around the property

Remotes:
There are remotes for TV. Please keep them safe and return them to their original location. There will be an additional fee for lost remotes.

Failure to comply with the House rules may result in eviction from the property and possible additional charges. Booking through Houfy or any other means assigns your consent to everything listed within this document.

Payment Policy

100% payment is due at the time of booking

Damage Deposit Policy

As a security deposit alternative, houfyProtect, an upfront nonrefundable low cost property damage protection policy for just $5 per night, is taken at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations at least 60 days before check-in will receive 100% refund minus any credit card fees.
• For cancellations between 30 and 60 days before check-in, guests will receive 50% of the paid amount
• No refunds within 30 days of arrival.
• Refunds are NOT provided outside of this policy.

**The purchase of Travel Insurance is HIGHLY encouraged for all guests to cover you should your trip have to be cancelled for covered reasons such as illness, accident, death of a family member or traveling companion, jury duty, or weather conditions which cause delay/cancellation of travel.**

Notes

Steps to the cabin:
Our cabin is on a hill side and there are twenty five steps down to the cabin from where you park next to the road. You would need to take your luggage and supplies down the steps to the cabin. There is no handicap ramp to the door. Please plan accordingly.

Electric Vehicle Charging:
We have a level 2 EV charger in the property for an additional cost. We will let you know exactly how much you used during your stay and charge you what the power company will charge us for KWH used at the end of your trip. Tesla owners, don’t forget to get your J1772 adapter!

No dishwasher:
We do NOT have a dishwasher. So, someone in your group must become the designated one :-)

Internet/Cellular:
We have Starlink High Speed Internet! You entire group can be on Zoom calls and stream entertainment without any buffering! You also have good cellular signal on major carriers.

Winter Driving AWD/4WD:
In winter, typically November through April, you should plan to travel to our home in a 4WD/AWD and carry chains. We are on a county maintained road but highway conditions can change anytime and CalTrans could enforce chain control anytime under heavy snow.

Heating:
We have a modern propane heater in the living area that keeps all the rooms warm in winter. Just set the desired temperature in the thermostat and you should be comfortable through your stay.

Cooling:
We do not have central air nor do we need one. We are at 5000 ft, among tall 100+ foot trees. The house is naturally pleasant all summer. We have ceiling fans in every room to keep things cool even in warm afternoons.

Pets:
We are pet-friendly and allow a maximum of one pet. If you are bringing your pet, please let us know when you book. We charge an of $50/per pet per stay for additional cleaning. Below are the house rules that you MUST follow:

- Pet must be house broken
- Pets are NOT allowed on any furniture or beds
- Pet MUST NOT be left unattended at home anytime
- You should pick up after the pet in and around the property
