Bright, clean, remodeled house in quiet, NE Richmond, centrally located to explore Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, Marin. Close to 80, 580 freeways. It is a family friendly neighborhood in the inner east bay 7 mi. to Berkeley, 16 mi. to San Francisco,50 mi. to Napa Valley, minutes to the marina, east bay hills for hiking and more. Inquire on longer term stays that do not show as available on the calendar. Note, this is not in San Francisco but is a short ferry or BART ride across the bay.
My recently renovated home was built in 1951, reminiscent of mid-century architecture including a wood plank, tongue and groover ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors. The built-in TV shelf was formerly a 2 ft high brick flower box in the middle of the living room complete with soil, leaves and drainage prior to be being repurposed for a TV. Youll find high quality furnishings, bedding, bathroom linens, full kitchenware, spices, appliances and glassware for evening cocktails.

Getting around

A car is the most convenient way to get around, though both El Cerrito del Norte BART and Richmond BARTs are less than 2 miles away and the Richmond Ferry to San Francisco is also just a couple miles from the house.

Policies and Rules

Check In: 4PM - 10PM

You will be assigned a unique access code that will be active during the timeframe of your stay. You do not need to download any apps onto your phone to access the house. You will enter your code on the keypad on the front door. In the event of a lock failure, there are physical keys stored in a lockbox on the property.

House Rules

- Must be 25 yrs or older to book and attach copy of govt issued photo ID within 24hrs of booking. - No third party reservations. - Number of guests must be identified at time of reservation. A fee of $50 per guest per night will be added to any extra guests not identified in reservation prior to check in. Max# guests is 4. -Weapons, illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on the property. -Number of vehicles to be parked at residence must be identified at time of reservation. -Quiet hours are strictly maintained 10pm-8am. -Violation of any of these house rules may result in cancellation of reservation, loss of deposit or both. - A pet fee of $150 will be charged for a dog not identified at time of reservation No smokingNo parties or eventsCheck-in is 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Refundable Damage Deposit

The damage deposit is collected no later than 7 days before check in, in order housing. A signed lease is required. Damage deposit will be refunded typically by 14 days, however, if significant damage is found, it could be up to 21 days to obtain quotes for work. While this isn't a usual occurrence, it has happened once in 5 years.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund if cancelling by 45 days prior to checkin
50% refund if cancelling by between 45-30 days prior to check in
No refund if less than 30 days prior to check in.

You are agreeing to my cancellation policy when you book.
Max # guests is 4.
Smoking is NOT allowed in the house, front porch or at the property, out of respect my neighbors. Violation of this house rule will result in a cancellation of your stay.
I don't allow cats due to allergies. Dogs will be considered.
Excessive noise will not be tolerated and will result in your stay being cancelled.
You will be responsible for negligent damage as a result of your stay.
House is private but not secluded as this is in a city neighborhood with small lots.

The house is .5 miles to BART, the public transit system of the bay area. And less than .5 mile to hwys 80 and 580. I ask you to respect quiet hours after 11.

This is a friendly, diverse, working class, eclectic neighborhood with folks who have been here for many years. This is a home I live in when in the Bay Area. I ask you to please be gentle with it and treat it like your own. There is a deck and small backyard to get some fresh air and sun.
