Come retreat to our modern and cozy NEW cabin in downtown Show Low near hiking, lakes, aquatic center, shops + eateries! This 3 bed, 2 bath sleeps 8 on premium bedding with 2 kings and 2 bunks. Fully stocked kitchen with new major appliances. Gas fireplace + seating for 8 in great room and dining area. Swings, playhouse & Lots of kid + baby items. Outside, enjoy tall pines, a 400 sf back deck, outdoor dining space + front porch on cul-de-sac.
The driveway is paved and our rental space includes two spots in the garage. You can enter through the garage or front door, via a well-lit paved path. Both entries include three steps up.
Inside, the front entry gives access to space for sitting and removing shoes + hanging coats, dropping keys. The large open space includes a dining room with seating for 8. A kitchen with a large island and three barstools, a great room with TV, fireplace and seating for 8.
On the East side of the house you’ll find the laundry room with washer and dryer plus farm sink and cabinetry. Next to the large primary room with walk-in closet and attached bath with an enclosed toilet and large shower, plus vanity with two sinks.
On the west side you’ll find the bunk room which sleeps four, a bathroom with enclosed toilet and a bathtub/ shower. The third bedroom included a king bed and has a slider with deck access.
The dining room also gives access to a slider with deck access. On the east side of the deck is chair swing and two large comfy seats with a view of the tall pines and staircase access to the backyard below.
On the west side there is a large deck with dining for 6-8 and couch seating for. 6-8.

“Dream Home” - The first words I spoke out loud as I walked into the Modern Black Cabin! Amanda, you have been by far THE BEST host I have ever witnessed! Your home is truly a master piece & I can’t begin to tell you how much my family enjoyed our stay. If you are in the White Mountains area, PLEASE DO YOURSELF AN HONOR & STAY HERE! This home has everything you can think of, especially for kids and toddlers/babies. During our stay, we felt comfortable knowing that Amanda had everything planned out for our stay and every household item you can even think of! I love the Guest Book and the Welcome Binder for the guests! I can’t wait to be back, as I did not want to leave this outstanding home! The host, Amanda, is so nice and very welcoming (even before you arrive, too!) I don’t think I’ll ever get over my “high” of how gorgeous this home was and how well-thought out everything was. Again, 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to visit the Modern Black Cabin soon! Thank you for everything! Yay!

We had a great weekend in this beautiful home. We were two families with little kids and we appreciated having so many kid-friendly amenities (inc pack n play, high chairs, white noise machines, games, and books). Everything was so well thought out and I would recommend it to anyone traveling with little kids or babies. The house was so well designed and pristine. The beds were super comfortable and we felt very at home. Now we need to come back when it’s snowy out and enjoy all the cozy blankets!

The Modern Black Cabin was the perfect stay for our little family. Not only is it absolutely stunning in beauty, but it was so comfortable. Traveling with 3 kids 3 and under is no small task, but our hosts were extremely accommodating. They had a pack n play complete with clean sheets. They had a changing pad with a clean cover. Our older boys were comfy and cozy in the bunk room! They enjoyed the many books available in the room as well. There were also a plethora of toys to keep them entertained. The kids also loved the playhouse and swings outside. We enjoyed eating outside on the deck and used the gas grill available to us. It was such a serene setting to sit out and enjoy the cooler temperatures. We loved their recommendations for food and activities! The hosts have truly thought of EVERYTHING you could possibly want or ask for. From dishes and utensils to a coffee maker and condiments to extra sheets and towels to Netflix and more! Would recommend 10/10!

Loved this place, perfect location between Woods Canyon Lake and Big Lake. It’s was modern, so cozy and comfortable! It was easy to make breakfast and dinner with all the amenities. My husband loved that the grill was connecting to a gas line from the house. We enjoyed our stay!

This house was beyond our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice. If was as comfortable as our own home and we did not feel we were missing any of our regular comforts. The design and functionality of the house is perfect. It was a truly enjoyable time. This house is perfect for staying with children. My granddaughters were thrilled to have an airbnb already with toys and activities to entertain them. The cost was unbelievable and so much better than if we had stayed in a resort or high-end hotel. I recommend 100%!!!!!!

Absolutely loved staying at the Modern Black Cabin! The house itself was immaculate and just as amazing in person as the pictures. It felt like staying at a resort. Everything was extremely clean and we had anything we could possibly need for our kiddos. Amanda was a fantastic host and checked in regularly. Air BnB hosts take notes! Amanda knows how to be an incredible host! You can tell they care very much about the space and that guests are comfortable! This place was luxurious from the comfy living room and amazing kitchen and dining space to the lush and cozy beds and soft bamboo linens. They were responsive, caring, and thoughtful! We are so grateful for the opportunity to host you! We kindly ask that you abide by a few standard rules during your stay. Events AirBnb and our neighborhood have a strict no events policy. Many of our neighbors live here year-round. No events are allowed on the property of any kind, and no outside guests are allowed on the property. The reserving guest is responsible for all invited guests (8 people or under.) Noise Please keep noise low before 7 a.m. and after 10 pm. Cameras Covering up, removing or tampering with cameras will result in potential fines and in the immediate end of your stay. Capacity The cabin cannot accommodate more than 8 people. Please do not invite guests outside of the approved reservation onto the property. Reserving guest is responsible for all guests. Pets Unfortunately we can't accommodate pets of any kind due to an allergy. If this rule is broken, an extra cleaning fee of $500 will result. Smoking This is a smoke and vape free property. This means that smoking is not allowed inside or outside the home on our property. If anyone is smoking anywhere on the property, a fine and immediate eviction may result. No visual evidence will be necessary to make this determination if your stay is complete. Property damage Damage to anything inside or outside the property will result in deductions from the security deposit and potential additional charges based on the value of the damage. Cancellation policy We always appreciate as much advance notice as possible, however you have until 24 hours before your stay to receive a full refund. Refundable Damage Deposit
The security deposit is used for any damage to the property found after the guest has left. The cleaning crew who inspects the house after each visit will determine if damage has occurred from the guest.
If smoking occurs on the property (inside or outside), a $5,000 fine will be issued. If a pet is brought to the property(inside or outside), a $500 fine will be issued. Other fees will be determined based on the damage that has occurred.
Direct bookings are given assuming the guest is respectful and not a damage risk. Please help this family-owned small business by treating it home with the utmost care. If there is no damage and the house was left as it was found upon check-in, your deposit will be released within three days of checkout. If you should find any damage to the property that occurred prior to your arrival, please send photo documentation to the host within three hours of check in. Thanks in advance!

We had a great weekend in this beautiful home. We were two families with little kids and we appreciated having so many kid-friendly amenities (inc pack n play, high chairs, white noise machines, games, and books). Everything was so well thought out and I would recommend it to anyone traveling with little kids or babies. The house was so well designed and pristine. The beds were super comfortable and we felt very at home. Now we need to come back when it’s snowy out and enjoy all the cozy blankets!

The Modern Black Cabin was the perfect stay for our little family. Not only is it absolutely stunning in beauty, but it was so comfortable. Traveling with 3 kids 3 and under is no small task, but our hosts were extremely accommodating. They had a pack n play complete with clean sheets. They had a changing pad with a clean cover. Our older boys were comfy and cozy in the bunk room! They enjoyed the many books available in the room as well. There were also a plethora of toys to keep them entertained. The kids also loved the playhouse and swings outside. We enjoyed eating outside on the deck and used the gas grill available to us. It was such a serene setting to sit out and enjoy the cooler temperatures. We loved their recommendations for food and activities! The hosts have truly thought of EVERYTHING you could possibly want or ask for. From dishes and utensils to a coffee maker and condiments to extra sheets and towels to Netflix and more! Would recommend 10/10!

Loved this place, perfect location between Woods Canyon Lake and Big Lake. It’s was modern, so cozy and comfortable! It was easy to make breakfast and dinner with all the amenities. My husband loved that the grill was connecting to a gas line from the house. We enjoyed our stay!

This house was beyond our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice. If was as comfortable as our own home and we did not feel we were missing any of our regular comforts. The design and functionality of the house is perfect. It was a truly enjoyable time. This house is perfect for staying with children. My granddaughters were thrilled to have an airbnb already with toys and activities to entertain them. The cost was unbelievable and so much better than if we had stayed in a resort or high-end hotel. I recommend 100%!!!!!!

Beautiful home! Great location! The house was super clean and organized. The kids loved the books in the closet and the games in the garage. Close to good food, and right across the street from a Safeway. We loved our stay and will look to come back here on our next visit to Show Low.

Absolutely loved staying at the Modern Black Cabin! The house itself was immaculate and just as amazing in person as the pictures. It felt like staying at a resort. Everything was extremely clean and we had anything we could possibly need for our kiddos. Amanda was a fantastic host and checked in regularly. She even sent donuts one of the mornings, which was a great touch. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Show Low!

Highly recommend this place. Amanda was such a great Host. The place is incredible, the pictures don’t do it justice. Everything was extemely clean, comfortable and very spacious inside. The deck is perfect for grilling and dining outside. If you’re thinking of getting this place don’t think twice, it’s worth every penny.

Air BnB hosts take notes! Amanda knows how to be an incredible host! You can tell they care very much about the space and that guests are comfortable! This place was luxurious from the comfy living room and amazing kitchen and dining space to the lush and cozy beds and soft bamboo linens. They were responsive, caring, and thoughtful! It is clear that they take great pride in this house! We will definitely return to stay!!!!
