Construction completed in January 2023. Everything is brand new. Beautiful place to begin, end or spend your day.

Located outside of Silver Bay and 7 miles from Hwy 61. Central to all activities the Northshore has to offer.

“Beautiful House Beautiful Location”
Our group of 7 women were impressed with this house from the moment we walked in! Every detail has been thought of, from the kitchen amenities to the bedding and towels. It is close to North Shore attractions and a beautiful place to retreat after a busy day. We also were lucky enough to get a viewing of the Auroras on two nights of our stay - it was a great place to view the northern lights.

Thankful to have this cabin to share with family for Thanksgiving. It exceeded expectations - the view of Lax Lake and the sunrises are incredible, the craftsmanship of the home is impeccable and the thoughtful amenities within made the stay feel like hosting the holiday at home. There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't considered and provided. Comfortable beds and great loft space for the kids. Great location for hiking and enjoying the North Shore. Would stay here again!

This beautiful home, with its scenic view, was fabulous! We enjoyed every minute. The highlight for my adult daugher and her husband was the visits from Tasha, the dog next door- made their days! The beds were so comfortable! The towels were thick and soft, the extra touches were greatly appreciated! The technology of the home's heating/cooling system was the first time I had seen this - facinating and worked wonderfully! Thank you so very much! We'll come back!

We had an awesome family vacation at Lax Lake View Retreat! The location is perfect- within an hour’s drive to most north shore destinations, including Duluth. It’s peaceful, private, and has a view every morning that can’t be beat. The layout of the house is perfect for hosting a group like ours (5 adults, 3 kids). There’s plenty of space and flexibility so that everyone can relax and spend time together or the kids can be upstairs while the adults are downstairs in the kitchen/living room area. After our 5 night stay we came away feeling like we got a great value for what we paid, and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Money well spent!

A beautiful and cozy cabin, with a gorgeous elevated view down to the lake. The house had plenty of space for multiple people and a nice suite of amenities to enjoy your time in the woods. Terry was great with communication, and all the instruction was very clear and concise. We had a great experience here, and would definitely stay again.

We rented this place for a father daughter snowmobile trip. 3 dads and 3 daughters age 12. The girls all shared the loft and actually woke every morning to watch the sunrise. Plenty of space to hang out and direct access to the snowmobile trails. The view of lax lake is 10/10. The home is perfect and decorated perfectly. High speed internet was 10/10 We will be back next year for the same trip because we found our new spot!

The house is located in the right between Duluth and Grand Maris . 7 miles from Beaver Bay.

Getting around

This home is located on a bluff with a 1/8 mile driveway that is steep in areas . In the winter months the driveway is kept well plowed but can be hard to access without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We require that all guests have a 4-wheel drive vehicle when staying with us during the winter months.
