Welcome to our creek-side cabin, 10 minutes from the wonders of Lassen National Park. Our spacious 2000 sq. ft. cabin is right on Bailey Creek that flows all season. The home is perfect for accommodating a large family or two on a vacation, but cozy enough for a couples weekend

From the Azure waters of Manzanita Lake to the volcanic hiking grounds of Bumpass Hell, you can get away from it all. After a long day at the park, relax on any of our three levels of deck or lounge next to creek.
Living Area: From the living room you can see and hear the babbling creek all year round. Listen to your favorite music on our Sonos speakers as you take in sounds of the creek and the whispering pines.

Deck & Outdoors: From the living room, you can access the extensive three levels of deck that leads you to the creek. We have a outdoor conversation sofa set just beyond the living room and a full outdoor dining furniture just a few steps below. There are lounge chairs and fire pit next to the creek to enjoy crisp, cold nights with some s’mores.

Kitchen: The kitchen is stocked with all the appliances and cookware you would need for a large group, including an Instant Pot. There’s a bbq grill on the deck overlooking the creek. For the coffee lover, we have pour over coffee setup, a Ninja coffee maker, a French press and a Mokapot. We have barista style mugs to enjoy your cup of joe on the deck or creekside.

Master Bedroom: The Master Bedroom downstairs is a cozy green room with a queen bed. As a bonus, it opens into the deck through double doors next to the kitchen.

Bedroom 2: Bedroom 2 is the yellow room downstairs just behind the living area and has a queen bed.

Loft sleeping areas: There are two sleeping areas in the loft. The front of the loft has a double bunk bed just under the skylight for starry night views. The back of the loft has a king bed and an attached bathroom with large windows overlooking the tall trees in the front of the property.

Beautiful cabin in a peaceful setting. Close to lots of things to do in nature. We enjoyed coming back to the warm cabin after playing in the snow near Lassen. Hosts were responsive and proactive even when the starlink went down for a couple of hours. Would highly recommend others to stay here if they are visiting the area.

had a wonderful stay here. it was large enough for 8 adults and a dog. the kitchen was fully stocked. the christmas tree was a nice touch! we felt right at home

“Amazing cabin in the woods”

We loved our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The hosts made us feel at home as they were very responsive if anything came up. The cabin's kitchen was well stocked and the views of the creek and surrounding woods was idyllic. The cabin was pet friendly with a cozy little corner under the stairs that our dogs loved. We really appreciated the use of the garage. It made the entire stay convenient. We have already recommended this place to our friends and relatives. We just hope that it will be available the next time we decide to stay here!

This is a great cabin in the woods and a gateway to Lassen Volcanic Park! EV charger is a big for us! Great fireplace next to the peaceful stream. Very interesting sleeping place above the living room - kids loved the bunk bed!

Highly recommend staying at this cabin if visiting the area. Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay and would definitely rent from Rekha and Shyam again. They went out of their way to address even the smallest of details to make our stay run smoothly.

We unfortunately didn't get to stay at the place due to a fire in the area. Rekha was quick to let us know of the dangers and offered a full refund. They were quick to respond and easy to work with. We hope to give their place a try next time we are in the area.

Policies and Rules

Check In: 4PM - Flexible

Check-in time is 4PM or later. Checkout time is 10AM. You will self-checkin using the door code that we send you three days before check in date. Check in and check out times are due to the cleaning crew making sure the house is ready for your arrival as well as those arriving after your stay. Some flexibility in earlier check in and later check out times, but only if arranged in advance and if it works with our housekeeper schedule.

House Rules

We expect you will respect our home and follow the rules below:

No Unregistered Guests or Pets:
Absolutely NO unregistered guests or pets without prior approval even for partial stays. Please contact us immediately if you have additional guests or pets.

Security Cameras:
There are cameras in a place for your protection. If the cameras are tampered with, you will be asked to leave the property immediately. There are no cameras inside the home as we respect your privacy.

No shoes in the house:
Absolutely no shoes in the house. We have a shoe rack upfront near the door. We appreciate your cooperation.

Smoking/Drug Policy:
Absolutely NO smoking in the house. No exceptions! If you do smoke outside, please be courteous and clean up your butts/ash. Evidence of smoking will result in additional cleaning fees of $500. Please note that this is a HIGH FIRE THREAT AREA.- Make sure your cigarette butts outdoors are properly extinguished.

Water and Septic:
DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $1000.

Good neighbors:
Parties or other noisy activities are not permitted on the property. We are located in a rural residential neighborhood and the Homeowner takes great care to maintain good relations with neighbors. Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am.

Pet Rules:
If you are bringing your pet, please let us know when you book. We charge $50/per pet per stay. One pet charge is $50/stay and two pets is $100/stay. Pet must be house broken - Pets are NOT allowed on any furniture or beds - Pet MUST NOT be left unattended at home anytime - You should pick up after the pet in and around the property

Remotes:
There are remotes for TV and heat pump. Please keep them safe and return them to their original location. There will be an additional fee for lost remotes.

Failure to comply with the House rules may result in eviction from the property and possible additional charges. Booking through Houfy or any other means assigns your consent to everything listed within this document.

100% payment is due at the time of booking

Damage Deposit Policy

As a security deposit alternative, houfyProtect, an upfront nonrefundable low cost property damage protection policy for just $5 per night, is taken at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations at least 60 days before check-in will receive 100% refund minus any credit card fees.
• For cancellations between 30 and 60 days before check-in, guests will receive 50% of the paid amount
• No refunds within 30 days of arrival.
• Refunds are NOT provided outside of this policy.

**The purchase of Travel Insurance is HIGHLY encouraged for all guests to cover you should your trip have to be cancelled for covered reasons such as illness, accident, death of a family member or traveling companion, jury duty, or weather conditions which cause delay/cancellation of travel.**

Notes

Internet:
With Starlink Internet, you can combine work and play. On average we get 300MBPS down / 100MBPS up which is great for Zoom calls for your whole group.

Electric Vehicle Charging (Additional Cost):
We have a level 2 EV charger in the garage for your use. We will let you know exactly how much you used during your stay and charge you what the power company will charge us for KWH used at the end of your trip. Tesla owners, don’t forget to get your J1772 adapter!

Winter Driving AWD/4WD:
In winter, typically November through April, you should plan to travel to our home in a 4WD/AWD Although we try to keep the short drive from the highway to our home plowed in winter, it’s often icy and snowed in right after winter storms. We do not accept last minute cancellations or changes to the reservation for not being able to reach our home in a 2WD vehicle.
