Adventure awaits on the lake, on nearby hiking trails, sporting events at Oregon State University, or hitting the fantastic foodie/wine/beer trail around the central Willamette Valley.

Best of all you can walk to some great restaurants, theater, and shopping within a mile of your lake retreat!

You will be staying in a quiet owner occupied neighborhood on a private dead end street with mature trees, gardens, and lake. There is parking on the gated property for up to 2 cars.

Guests have there own 2 bedroom 1 bath 1200 sq ft Guesthouse on the lower level facing the lake with a private entrance, patio and covered sitting area. There is 300 ft of waterfront, dock and a large grass lawn for you to enjoy, Bring your kayaks and SUPs or borrow one of ours.

In addition, the neighborhood is a great place to go for a leisurely walk and just a short distance to the coffeehouse.

We are happy to offer help throughout your stay at the lake. We live in the upper level of the home and you can keep in touch through texting/calling or in person. If you prefer privacy we will be here if you have any questions or need anything.

She was nice, however it’s never stated she lived upstairs with 4 dogs that were constantly running around and loud and sounded like at some point she was using a drill. We stayed quiet during quiet hours however we were hit with a noise complaint. Place is cute but I don’t think personally it was worth the price with all of the rules also had. Carpet had toenail clippings in it, and pet hair. I try to stay open minded however it was frustrating expecting one thing and showing up to another. Felt like we had to whisper the whole time to not disturb anyone. Came for my birthday get away and ended up not being able to have fun in worries we’d get a complaint, which we did anyway. Which it was clearly stated in the reservation it was for a birthday party.

Response:We strive to provide a 5-star experience for all guests, as reflected in our previous reviews. We were disappointed to learn of Kyle's concerns . Noise: The listing states the presence of the residence above and the guesthouse is a lower level unit with it's own entrance. Quiet hours are 10 pm - 7 am and we expect our guests to adhere to this as well and not to hold parties. Cleanliness: The unit was professionally cleaned before Kyle's stay and no prior issues were reported. We request our guests to inspect the unit and report any issues of cleanliness within 2 hours so we can make it right. Kyle did not contact us during his stay. Disclosure: The listing details the owner's presence, camera locations, and potential for interaction. All our guests sign in and also agree before a reservation is accepted that they will follow our House Rules that include no parties. Unfortunately Kyle's weekend getaway to hold an unauthorized party was not a good fit for our quiet neighborhood Lakeside Guesthouse. We appreciate all feedback and will use it to continually improve our guest experience. We hope to welcome guests who value a peaceful and respectful stay. Mardee’s guest house on the lake was awesome. I really appreciated her checking in to see if we needed anything else , and accommodating us coffee drinkers with good coffee ! Really nice space and decorated just darling. If you book it, you will not be disappointed- it’s great 👍

Amazing location, beautiful home and gracious host! Such a beautiful, peaceful location on the lake. Plenty of restaurants, walking paths and a grocery store within walking distance, downtown Albany only a 10 minute drive across the bridge.

We ended up finding this place which is directly across the lake from where my grandkids live. It couldn't have been more ideal. Knew the area and knew the lake. Walk to decent food and grocery store. Mardee was attentive but not obtrusive. She was communicative and responsive. Loved her and loved the place.

First of all, our host was amazing. Mardee is incredibly responsive to messages. She went above and beyond to accommodate special requests and was quick to give us any information we asked for. She greeted us when we arrived, was helpful and friendly, and made it clear she was available if we needed anything. The location of the AirBnb is gorgeous. Green grassy fields, a quiet neighborhood that feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, even though it’s within walking distance of Starbucks and a four-minute drive to a couple of restaurants. Even though it was wet the whole time we were there, we were able to enjoy the view of the lake, with the ducks and other birds adding to the ambience. The basement apartment was perfect for my family. My parents came with us and slept in one room, and my two daughters and I shared the other. There is every necessity for cooking, a laundry space, and nice sitting areas both inside and out. It would be a great place to stay for any length of time.

It's difficult to write this review...because we want return and don't want it gobbled up by someone else. We were visiting our son, an OSU student. The drive to Corvallis is beautiful. The town of Albany and its amenities are full of any traveler's needs. Mardee's place, nestled at the end of the road, is quiet, safe, full of home warmth and comfort...bring food in, cook-in, or dine out? Good problems to have. All choices fit this location. It's a nice walking distance to the grocer, and to many good eateries. You can't lose. Mardee was an amazing host. She greeted us on arrival, shared the details of the property and neighborhood, introduced us to the space, and made us feel at home. We stayed in close contact with Mardee during our stay, as our plans/events/coming-&-goings changed (as they do with college student parents). Mardee was incredibly responsive, flexible, and understanding. We hope that the next time we visit Mardee's place will be available. Fingers crossed!

When someone says, "if you need anything, let me know" it's a very polite thing to say, but they often don't really mean it. Believe me when I say Mardee means it! Not only is her lake house homey and well appointed with anything you might need for a lovely stay, but she is an attentive host and a gem of a woman. We booked her place to stay at for our daughter's wedding in town, and when a decorating snafu came up last minute, Mardee did exactly as she offered... she was ready to help with literally anything! She brainstormed decor ideas with me, she took us around her property to find resources to use, she offered to help bring branches and small trees in from the field on her tractor, she even clipped greens for me and delivered them to the door. With her help, the church, the reception area, and the bouquets were beautiful, and you'd never know we were in a panic just two days prior. Mardee went beyond to help make our daughter's big day perfect and we're so grateful!

We loved staying at Mardees place! We were in town for a football game and this space was within a 20 min drive from the stadium. We immediately felt at home; it was peaceful, relaxing, clean and comfortable. There are many great local restaurants nearby and the food was delicious at all. Mardee was a great host; responded quickly, had great recommendations, and was very helpful. We just wish we could have stayed longer!

What a gem! This beautiful home sits at the back of a stunning country neighborhood on a gorgeous little lake. The views! It did not disappoint! Highly, highly recommend this beautiful little slice of Heaven. Convenient to town, I-5, Albany, Corvallis, and only an hour to Portland area.

I am a semi retired teacher and outdoor enthusiast! My partner and I love to be out on the lake in nice weather and taking photos of all the waterfowl we have throughout the winter that visit. We also have 3 active dogs that chase after balls and frisbees in our fields and a group of chickens that free range in our pastures.

We love sharing the magic of our lake house with visitors to our lower level guest house.

Couples, families, and travelling professionals enjoy their stays and we strive to give you a retreat you will want to come back too!

Check In: 3PM - 10PM

Guests will access the private entrance with a smart lock. The 4 digit code will be sent the day before check in to the phone number attached to the reservation along with detailed instructions.

In most cases your host will be on site to assist with your check in, luggage, and any other questions you may have.

Additionally, the guest making the reservation must be staying at the guesthouse the entire time. All adult guests will also sign in acknowledging the house rules.
