Kilbourne Lodge is a classic mid-century ski chalet featuring a stunning stone accent wall, wood-burning fireplace, large picture windows, knotty pine walls & a quintessential mid-century angled roof. Vintage leather furniture, antique ski equipment, bathroom radiant floor heating & built-in boot dryer system round out this unique property!

Getting around
Bring your own vehicle, with free parking! The lodge driveway can easily support 3 or 4 cars. And it is much easier to come and go in your own vehicle as we are at the bottom of Killington Rd.
There is a bus stop on Killington Rd in front of the entrance to The Woods Resort for rides up and down the mountain during peak winter ski season.

Pets: Pets are welcome at Kilbourne Lodge! The pet fee is $200. Please ensure you list your pets as a guest on reservation. Any damage to the exterior or interior of the premises, grounds, flooring, walls, trim, finish, tiles, carpeting, or any stains, etc., caused by the pet will be the full financial responsibility of the guest. If any said damage is such that it cannot be removed or repaired, then resident hereby agrees to pay the full cost of replacement. When outside with your pets, please ensure they are properly leashed when not inside the fenced in backyard.
Smoking: Smoking is not allowed inside Kilbourne Lodge. If smoking outside, please properly discard used cigarettes. Additional cleaning fees may apply if policy is not followed.
Unregistered Guests / Visitors: Only the guests listed on the reservation will be allowed in the lodge for the duration of the stay. No other guests or visitors beyond the number listed on your reservation are allowed (i.e. local guests, other friends / family, etc.) without our prior written approval. Unregistered guests are also not covered by Airbnb’s liability and insurance protections for guests and hosts.
Septic System: Kilbourne Lodge is on a septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products, or other non biodegradable items have been flushed and clog the septic system, guests could be charged damages of up to $1000.00.
Use of Bunk Bed: There are certain risks associated with using a bunk bed and bunk bed ladder, and guests agree that use is at your own risk. Kilbourne Lodge assumes no responsibility for personal loss, injury, or illness of any kind which may result from use of the bunk bed and ladder. Kilbourne Lodge is not liable for any accidents occurring. Parents with children should be especially cautioned regarding ladder use and agree to accept all responsibility for minors. While not an exhaustive list of precautions, guests agree to follow these industry standards: 1) Use of top bunk is limited to occupants 6 years or older; 2) Use of top bunk is limited to 1 occupant and a maximum 175 lbs weight; 3) No jumping or other horseplay on or around the bed; 4) Always use ladder for entering and leaving the upper bunk.
Infants: Kilbourne Lodge is generally not suitable for infants. There are no child protections, cribs, etc. in place. The lodge has many hard corners and access to cleaning supplies under sinks. If bringing an infant, please know you will accept responsibility for their safety during the stay. Please bring any necessary additional items you will need to make the loft suitable for your stay.

Kilbourne Lodge was built in 1962 by eight friends to use as a "Share House", and it served them well. In the early 2000s it was turned into a full time vacation rental.
Kilbourne Lodge is equipped with sensor devices (Nest Thermostat, Nest Protect, Minut) that monitor the environment inside the lodge (e.g. temperature, smoke / carbon monoxide, humidity, noise levels, and motion) to ensure guests have a safe and pleasant stay. There is an exterior security camera on the front porch. It will be on during your stay. No audio or video recording devices are located inside the lodge.
