We want to welcome you to the Kihei Garden Cottage, a luxury cottage in a tropical garden located in sunny Kihei, Maui. Mauis South Shore boasts with the most variety and breathtakingly beautiful beaches of all Hawaiian Islands. Just pack your swim suite and leave the rest to us. Staying in a house with relaxing outdoor spaces is truly one of the best ways to enjoy your vacation. This is a non-smoking property.
Why rent a private cottage? You never have to share the hot tub or the BBQ with any of the other tourists nor is there a closing time for the hot tub. You will never have to search for a parking space like a Costco parking lot. You can park in the driveway, which is directly in front of the house. When you have your large suitcases, Costco purchases, or coolers, your car is just out the front door instead of meandering through a large complex with your heavy items.
GREEN ENERGY HOME: We utilize the sun in Maui for all of our power needs.

The ancient Hawaiians traveled to Kihei for their Royal Retreats. There are six miles of beach along Kiheis coastline, including the popular Kamaole beaches.
Located in the heart of sunny South Kihei near the famous Kamaole sandy beaches. 10-minute walk to just about everything:
* Kalama Beach Park (playground, tennis, volleyball, basketball, and more)
* Over 23 restaurants, coffee shops, and bars
* Shops, boutiques, open air markets
* Farmers market and grocery store
* The Cove Beach Park (paddle boarding and beginner surfing)
* Kamaole Beach Park 1, 2, 3 (Kam 1 is a 20-min walk. All beaches within a 5-minute drive) Quick Drive (15-20 minutes):

Stroll in cute little shops while trying some local shave ice. You will love Mauis most unique shopping and dining experience at Kihei Kalama Village with great places to eat and over 40 vendors and boutiques. At the south side of Kalama Beach, you will find Cove Park where you can take surfing lessons or try stand up paddle boarding. Walk beyond Cove Park and you find Charley Young beach which is part of the famous Kamaole beaches.
In the morning, walk to Starbucks or Lava Java Coffee Roasters and enjoy your coffee at the beach. During the early evening, you can relish sushi during Happy Hour at Sansei within a few minutes of the house or enjoy the gorgeous sunsets at the beach.

5-star luxury resort Queen mattress with pima cotton sheets and a down comforter assures a good nights sleep.

Dave and Jenni would like to welcome you to their Garden Oasis in Kihei. We purchased this property in 2013 because we always enjoy the aloha spirit of the islands and love to go paddle boarding, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Dave dabbles with the guitar and ukulele and loves all of the music that is so prevalent in Hawaii. Jenni spent some of her happiest years as a child living in Hawaii and we both feel connected to the island. We currently live in Seattle, and like you, plan our vacation getaways to Maui with our family and friends. We welcome you, your family and friends to our vacation paradise.

Our property's quiet hours are in place to ensure that everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. We care a lot about maintaining good relationships with our community, so we appreciate you following our "house policies" during your stay. We are committed to Rent Responsibly standards. This means we follow best-in-class guidelines to ensure you have a peaceful, safe and memorable stay with us. We use smart home technology to improve your experience. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. NoiseAware is 100% privacy compliant and is required on this property. We also have 1 Nest webcam that points towards the driveway which is only there as a safety measure which is rarely reviewed. If you have any questions, please ask.
County Enforced House Policies:
NOISE: Quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., during which time the noise from the short-term rental home shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the short-term rental home is prohibited. Please be considerate, realizing that others live in the neighborhood.
OCCUPANCY: All Guests visiting Property must be registered on the Agreement. Guest agrees that no more than 8 persons shall be permitted on the Property at any time during the Rental Term, all of whom shall comply with the conditions and restrictions imposed upon Guest under this Agreement.
SPECIAL EVENTS, PARTIES: Guest shall not host special events, parties, or gatherings at the property. This can cause us to lose our vacation rental permit with the county.
SCOOTERS, NO DRONES: Scooters which generate excess noise in the neighborhood are not allowed. Please do enjoy what the island has to offer, but we ask that you do not bring noisy scooters into the neighborhood or to the house (mopeds and Vespa style that are quiet are fine). Drones are not allowed on the property and on most of Maui.
ILLEGAL ACTIVITY: Illegal activity, illicit drug use, or fireworks are not allowed on or near the Property.
PARKING: Per the County permit requirements, vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area (in the driveway or in the garage) and shall not be parked on the street or on the grass.
In consideration of our friends and neighbors, Guest agrees to abide by the local noise ordinance and all county and state policies. If a complaint is received, Rental Agent will notify Guest immediately. Violations, such as noise violations, to the point of causing unresolved complaints from neighbors or law enforcement involvement will be considered causing damage to the property and the vacation rental permit. Guest will be asked to leave immediately. If permit is impacted, for example revoked, due to Guest actions, Guest agree to pay state and county fines, loss of rental income, and legal bills associated with defending the vacation rental permit with the state and or county.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY: We highly recommend guests purchase travel insurance through the booking company or through private insurers such as www.lnsureMyTrip.com. If guest cancels reservation, guests shall use travel insurance for reimbursement. If cancellation reason is not covered by travel insurance or guest has not purchased insurance, owner will provide a pro-rated refund based on nights that can be re-rented.
