FAQs - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

HOW DO I GET MY FREE LEI GREETING FOR TWO?
If you are staying 7 nights or longer, you will receive a free lei greeting for two people upon arrival at LIH airport. Once you complete your reservation, you will need to provide your flight details and we will take care of the rest. The Lei greeting will take place at the baggage claim area.

DOES IT HAVE A VIEW OF THE OCEAN?
YES! It has an unobstructed view of the lawn, beach and ocean. The walk to the beach is just about 1 minute from the lanai.

DOES THE CONDO HAVE AIR CONDITIONING?
YES! There is a powerful 14,000 BTU portable AC unit in the master bedroom. In addition, due to its favorable location, this condo gets a strong ocean breeze when the patio door and windows are open. It is recommended to keep the lanai doors open to enjoy the view and to let the ocean breeze in. This condo is also a cooler ground floor unit, has a ceiling fan in each room and an extra portable fan as well as vented windows to maximize the flow of the ocean breeze.

DOES THE CONDO INCLUDE USE OF A POOL & FITNESS CENTER?
Yes. All Kiahuna Plantation guests have free access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club across the street. For access you will check in at Poipu Beach Athletic Club. You will find a large swimming pool, water slide, hot tub, full gym, full locker rooms, 2 half basketball courts, 3 pickleball courts and 4 tennis courts. They provide all sporting equipment such as basketballs, tennis racquets and balls, pickleball equipment, table tennis, etc. Lastly, there is an onsite restaurant and bar with full service and a great menu.

WHAT FLOOR IS THE CONDO ON?
Kiahuna 159 is on the ground floor of Bldg. 24. Just a few steps from where you will park which is convenient for bringing in luggage and groceries! NO STAIRS!!!

CAN YOU HEAR ROAD NOISE FROM THE CONDO?
No. This unit is far away from Poipu Road where the road noise comes from. You will, however, hear the ocean waves coming from the beach.

IS BEACH GEAR INCLUDED?
Yes! The condo includes 2 bodyboards, 2 beach chairs, beach umbrella and a cooler. There is beach rental hut on the beach that provides free beach towels and additional paid beach gear rentals.

Wonderful stay
I couldn’t have had a more enjoyable stay in Poipu. The Kiahuna Plantation exceeded my expectations, and I was happy to splash out and book an ocean view property. This unit is right on the ground floor, with an ocean view and a ridiculously short walk to the beach. There’s a wide open grassy area for games and several bbq areas within seconds of walking. The unit was also a delight with its more updated touches. There was a little snafu during my stay, but Erick, the owner, really stepped it up with finding a resolution, to which I’m grateful for. There Poipu Athletic Club is also just a short walk away. It’s actually a fantastic gym with more than decent weightlifting equipment, cardio equipment, a functional fitness/TRX area, yoga studio, volleyball court, tennis court, and more. It’s nice to have access to a more capable gym than what you’d normally find in a hotel. No need to take a lapse in your workout routine just because you’re on vacation. This is my first time in Kauai, and I came with a very large group who all booked units in the Kiahuna Plantation. The unit’s prime location became our gathering spot to have wine happy hours while the kids did cartwheels on the grass and played catch and we all enjoyed the sunset. The resort’s staff are exceptionally friendly, and I have nothing but love for Kauai. What a terrific place to spend the holidays. Mahalo!!!

We had a great stay at Sandy and Erick’s. We were so close to the beach. The view was beautiful! The apartment had everything we needed, including coolers, chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. Sandy and Eric were very helpful with providing local recommendations. Including things to do, places to eat, and places to shop nearby. We would totally stay again next time we are in Kauai.

This condo has a great location just at a few steps on green grass to the sea and Beach. Parking was easy and there are several places in walking distance— from Poipu athletic club with pool and bar, to coffee stand, and restaurant just down the beach— a great combination of private and quiet but close to a lot! Sandy and Erick’s place was paradise. The living area is spacious, the bedroom comfortable (and AC-cooled — a rarity on Kauai). The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked in it daily. The standout was the unobstructed view of the ocean from the living room — only a 2 minute walk from the lanai. There’s a surf and snack shack nearby (2min walk) to rent surfboards, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and to get free towels. Plenty of chaise lounge chairs to relax on. Wifi is good, we worked remotely with no issue. Very close to restaurants and a small shopping center. One thing of note, AC only covers the bedroom - if you run warm, keep the living area closed with fans on during the day and open on both sides for a cross breeze at night. Fantastic rental!

Amazing stay at the South Shore Poipu Beach area. This condo is at a resort which is a true gem. Kiahuna beach is wonderful and poipu beach is a short, 5-10 min walk within the paths that connect the resorts. Condo is well equipped and spacious. It takes you 1 min and you are in the sand. Location is fabulous for the south shore - walk to shops and restaurants, 5 min to grocery stores, poke and shave ice. Would go back without thinking twice.

Great stay! AMAZING location…truly couldn’t beat it. Pictures are totally accurate. There was no AC as listed but the hosts were extremely accommodating and offered some money back for the inconvenience. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great stay at Sandy and Erick’s. We were so close to the beach. The view was beautiful! The apartment had everything we needed, including coolers, chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. Sandy and Eric were very helpful with providing local recommendations. Including things to do, places to eat, and places to shop nearby. We would totally stay again next time we are in Kauai.

This condo has a great location just at a few steps on green grass to the sea and Beach. Parking was easy and there are several places in walking distance— from Poipu athletic club with pool and bar, to coffee stand, and restaurant just down the beach— a great combination of private and quiet but close to a lot! Would definitely stay here again if we returned to poipu! Hosts were very frequent communicators

Sandy and Erick’s place was paradise. The living area is spacious, the bedroom comfortable (and AC-cooled — a rarity on Kauai). The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked in it daily. The standout was the unobstructed view of the ocean from the living room — only a 2 minute walk from the lanai. There’s a surf and snack shack nearby (2min walk) to rent surfboards, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and to get free towels. Plenty of chaise lounge chairs to relax on. Wifi is good, we worked remotely with no issue. Very close to restaurants and a small shopping center. One thing of note, AC only covers the bedroom - if you run warm, keep the living area closed with fans on during the day and open on both sides for a cross breeze at night. Fantastic rental!

Amazing stay at the South Shore Poipu Beach area. This condo is at a resort which is a true gem. Kiahuna beach is wonderful and poipu beach is a short, 5-10 min walk within the paths that connect the resorts. Condo is well equipped and spacious. It takes you 1 min and you are in the sand. Location is fabulous for the south shore - walk to shops and restaurants, 5 min to grocery stores, poke and shave ice. Would go back without thinking twice.
