Our Hideaway Country is tucked away behind the orange Orchard and offers complete privacy whilst still overlooking the uninturrupted Avon Valley views. This cottage is right next to the bottom paddock where you’ll find our donkeys and Betty and her sheep gang.
The cottage is set up to cater for a self catering holiday with a well equiped kitchen and open plan lounge dining area. The fire place makes for a cosy retreat in winter and the fire pits perfect for toasting marshmallows.
The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms provides adequate space for guests travelling with friends or families. The 2nd bedroom can be set up with a king bed or singles and a portages-cot provided upon request free of charge.
All linen and towels are provided along with tea and coffee.

House Rules
Refundable Damage Deposit:
Waived as long as the guest agrees to abide by information in this agreement and shall cause all members of the rental party (anyone else Guest permits on the property) to abide by them as well. Any damage caused will be charged to the guest.
Sewage and Water
As a rural property our sewage heads to our sewage tanks. Please do not flush sanitary items, nappies, baby wipes, face wipes or anything that isn’t toilet paper down the toilet or the pipes will become quickly blocked. The guest will be responsible to cover the cost to rectify any blockage.
We rely on rain water to provide us with the water that we need. Please keep showers short to preserve the water supply.
Guests
Only the number of guests agreed in the confirmed booking may stay on the property over night. Extra charges will apply to any additional guests.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted, no noise after 10pm and strictly no events or parties - any breaches of these rules will result in eviction without refund.
Pet Policy: No pets allowed. This is a pet-free property.
Fires
Fires are permitted only in the designated fire pit and must be kept small and manageable. If a total Fire Ban is issued no fires will be allowed. It is the guest responsibility to know the current fire restrictions before lighting the fire. Never leave a fire unattended
Animals
The animals are just past the top cottage. Our animals love to be petted over the gate or fence (near the top cottage ) but please do not join them in their paddocks they may not appreciate it. Please only feed them the food provided – salad for the goats (Murray,Larry , Betty ) and carrots for the donkeys. (Polly and cybil ). We have some new sheep but they are still very timid, it’s unlikely they will come to the fence but if they do feel free to give them some salad.
Larry has the floppy ears and loves treats and Murray the larger goat loves a head scratch! Give the donkeys a carrot and they’ll be your best friends!
Children
Children must be supervised at all times.
Firewood
We do not provide firewood or kindling. Firewood can be purchased from Toodyay Hardware Store (Makits) on the Main Street. It is $17 per bag and we recommend that you purchase some firelighters and matches too.
Wildlife
We share our property with some beautiful wildlife and plants. We ask that you stay on paths or in clearances provided and sturdy full shoes must be worn. The snakes and reptiles that live here are very shy and will avoid you at all costs, but if you are lucky enough to cross paths with one a pair of thongs or sandals will not be the most ideal choice of footwear!
Fruit
Please help yourself to some oranges from the orchard. Choose the large ones and they should be good to go!
Machinery
Farm machinery is a no go, look but please do not touch. That also goes for farm tools, animal stools, equipment and such like.
