Recently built, this river-access cabin is perfect for couples or small families. Heavens Hideaway was designed to be open and roomy while feeling warm and personal at the same time. Just look at the pictures and youll instantly be hooked!

On the outside, there is access to the river - you can hear the water from the cabin! - with plenty of yard space for relaxing or exploring nature. There is also a beautiful roomy deck with a new, modern hot tub, a gas grill and ample sitting room. The sitting area of the deck has a gas fireplace for added warmth. Too many pests at night? There is also a large screened-in porch where you can sip wine and talk for hours.

On the inside, Heavens Hideaway is filled end to end with warm rustic touches in every room. The full kitchen (including dishwasher) has modern appliances, an apron sink, beautiful colors and an island for added counter space. The sitting area is large and roomy. The bedrooms, the loft, the bathroom - you will love every room! Rainy day? We have a game room with bunches of board games! Sit by the picture windows with some coffee and a book.

Please take your trash with you. There is dumpster access at the Shenandoah River Outfitters (less than a mile from the property). The house manager can take them for a tip of $5 per bag, if you would prefer.

Please note: The optional firewood charge of $10/night is for firewood. If you dont think you will use the firewood or would like to bring your own, please let us know! We are more than happy to refund that to you.

Great couples stay with hiking close by!

Great location close to everything that we were looking for. Location is about 15-20 minutes from the Thornton’s Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. Shopping areas for essentials also aren’t far from the location. The house was clean and had a well stocked kitchen with the essentials needed to cook meals. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking followed by sitting by the indoor fireplace. We had no problems with the WiFi in the house but the area otherwise has spotty cell service as to be expected in the mountains. Overall we will definitely be back for another visit and look forward to staying at this location again.

Perfect Getaway

Loved this rental! Very clean and just perfect. They thought of every detail. Very nicely decorated. We had a slight issue and they were very responsive and fixed the issue immediately. We would highly recommend Heaven's Hideaway!!

Beautiful Cabin

The location was great. Driveway was not steep like other rentals in the area. The cabin was in excellent condition and clean. Not far from food, grocery stores, or attractions but far enough to get away to the quiet. We didn't use the hot tub but we should have. The screened in porch was amazing. Sitting out at night we saw a couple of deer in the back yard. In the morning as the sun came up you could see the river from the couch. If there was one bad thing to say is for the price the toilet paper could have been at least two ply. It was the thinnest paper I've ever seen.

Wonderful base location for vacation!

Gorgeous piece of property with plenty of parking, a beautiful piece of land and easy access to the river! So quiet and peaceful except for the sounds of the birds and other forest sounds. Cabin is nicely stocked with any needed amenities and working appliances. The two best amenities for us were the heating/cooling splits, which meant for great sleeping and the screen in porch, which was so enjoyable for sitting, eating, reading, game playing etc. We loved listening to the birds, watching the hummingbirds and being entertained by the rabbits. Another plus was the easy access to Skyline Drive as well as the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests and all the other local attractions like the caverns. I would highly recommend Heaven's Hideaway as either a home base for vacation or a place to just stay and relax.

Truly Heaven on Earth!

This cabin was exactly as described and made for the perfect weekend getaway. Enjoy coffee on the screened in deck, grill on the porch, enjoy the hot tub, and fire pit all in the coziness of the cabin and the serene nature. Quiet, clean, easy to get to but far enough removed from others. A quick walk to the river. Comfortable beds, clean, and has everything you need! Agency was very responsive to any questions or needs. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying at Heaven's Hideaway again!

The house was exactly as described. The only problem was on the last night we tried to use the hot tub and it wasn’t working. We had used it prior to this and it worked. The place is decorated beautifully! And it was very clean. It is very remote.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the cabin and the secluded outdoor space.

We really enjoyed our stay and the cabin was beautiful inside. Beds were comfortable and furnishings were quaint and we had everything we needed. We were able to get Wi-Fi which was a bonus. We spend a lot of time outside on the covered porch and deck which was very private, quiet and surrounded by trees. At night the stars and fireflies were amazing! We used the gas fire table and hot tub everyday. The town of Luray was close and we had easy access to stores and restaurants. It was a special get-away and we hope to come again.

Lovely, Peaceful Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heaven's Hideaway. The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The setting was very peaceful and quiet. The screened in porch was lovely for sitting and drinking coffee in the morning. The fire pit and hot tub were nice to have to enjoy as the nights were a little chilly. The drive to areas of interest in and around Luray were beautiful. I do wish there had been a few more restaurants open during the week.

Perfect Family Getaway!

The cabin is perfect for small families. Our 4 years old loved the playroom area. The place was one of the cleanest we ever stay lately. The indoors decoration makes you feel cozy abs at home. The area is quiet, with beautiful trees and makes you feel very relaxed. The trail to the river is fun and easy for kids. Beds are super comfortable, electric fire place in the living room was a great touch and it really makes the entire place warm and cozy.

Directions to get there were clear, managing staff was very responsive and we truly had an amazing time by the campfire outdoors. Totally recommend this place and we will come back!

Just perfect!

Everyone should get to stay at Heaven's Hideaway! We were so impressed with this thoughtfully appointed and just perfect cabin! Upon arrival, we found the cabin was sparkly clean with lovely linens. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck with the propane fire pit. The owners of this cabin have literally thought of everything to make your stay perfect - from the speakers and twinkle lights on the porch as you enjoy a hot cider to the "borrow bucket" and fully stocked first aid kit. I was also very impressed by the level of communication and rapid responses from ShenRent - very reassuring cleaning protocols and excellent pre-check in communication. Thank you to the owners of this lovely cabin for sharing it with us and to Shen Rent for making check in and our stay a breeze!

Adorable, comfy and clean!

My husband and I came here for a baby-free getaway trip to celebrate our anniversary. We were looking to kick back and relax, and this place did just the job! I can’t say about positive things about Heaven’s Hideaway!

The only thing I want to point out is that there was “limited WiFi available” advertised. However, we had absolutely no service our entire stay. While I love an excuse to unplug, we had to drive into town each night to check in on the baby. Not a huge deal, but I thought people should be prepared to have absolutely no service while there. There was a house phone there, and we gave it to my mother-in-law who was watching our child in case of emergency, though.

Thank you for a wonderful getaway weekend! We’ll be back!
