This one bedroom apartment is ideal for a couple or family with young children. It is situated in the centre of the village, but in a quiet location to ensure you get a good night's sleep. The ski and hiking bus stop is 100m from the house. There is a separate bedroom with a twin Austrian bed and wardrobe and seating area, a living area with kitchen with microwave oven, 2 ring hob, fridge/freezer, sink and cooking utensils, a double sofa bed, a flat screen TV with satellite channels, and dining area. The bathroom has a basin, shower, and separate toilet. The living area leads onto the south facing balcony with table and chairs, and mountain views.
There is free wifi and free parking.
The apartment is a separate, fully contained apartment on the first floor of the house.
There are some shared areas in the house - these are the landing area on the first floor, the basement where the ski room and breakfast room are situated, and the garden is shared.
There is a ski and boot room in the cellar, with a heated boot rack to keep your equipment safe and dry. This area can also be used to store bikes.
We offer the Hochkönig Card, which gives free access to hiking bus, mountain lifts and swimming pools in summer, and free night skiing and free day's GoPro hire in winter, plus much more!
There is a shared garden, with a gas BBQ (extra cost), large table and benches to enjoy the beautiful weather!
There are 2 further apartments in the building to rent, so it is possible to house a group of up to 14 guests. Please enquire about this for more information.
As with all our apartments, fresh linen and towels are included in the price (one set per stay). If you would like additional towels/linen, this is available at an additional cost.
There is a washing machine and drier available for use at an additional cost. Please ask if you require this service.
We serve a continental buffet breakfast, or a fresh bread service for an additional cost.
We can help organise anything you need during your stay such as airport transfers, ski hire, ski school etc. Please enquire about this.
The apartment is on the first floor, accessible via stairs. There is free wifi, a landing area with information on the area, and we provide a ski and boot storage room in our basement.
There is a family room downstairs which guests are free to use that has tables and chairs to seat up to 16 people, plus family games.
There is room for parking for one car per apartment, and a shared garden.
My husband, Jerome, and I are based on site, in the ground floor apartment, so we are available to answer any questions you may have. We know the local area very well, and can give you recommendations on the best places to ski, walk, and eat, and any other activities you are interested in. My husband is French and speaks fluent french and English, and my German is improving fast! He also speaks some Italian and Spanish. I am English and also speak French, and basic German.
The scenery is beautiful with the limestone mountains on the north side of the valley. We are in the centre of the village, with shops, restaurants and bakery and banks a 200m walk away. We are 750m from the main gondola station, accessible either by bus (free in winter), or by car, or by foot. We are 100m from the bus stop. In winter there are 120km of skiing pistes to explore along with cross country skiing, snow shoe walking, ski touring, off piste areas. The area is also part of the Ski Amade ski area with over 760km of pistes.
In Summer there are 340km of hiking trails to enjoy along with various activities for children. The area is known for it's petting farms where you can see the farm animals. The area is also great for mountain biking and road biking, as well as climbing. There is a bike rental shop in the village where you can rent bikes and e-bikes. Or how about mountain carting down to the village from the top of the gondola?
There is a children's playpark and small petting zoo across the road from the house which is open during the summer months.
There is an outdoor swimming pool in the village (open June - end August), and tennis courts, and there is horse riding available nearby.
There are lots of other activities you can do in the area such as zip lines, high wires, archery, rafting, canyoning, and lots of sights to see including ice caves, salt mines, Hohenwerfen castle, Salzburg, gorges. I can provide you with any information on activities in the area and there is also the tourist information office is 200m from the house.
We offer the Hochkönig Card for free! This gives you free access to the hiking bus, swimming pool mountain lifts, bike lifts and taxis, plus more in Summer. In winter you can do night skiing in Maria Alm for free, get a free day's GoPro hire, and many discounts!
We do recommend that you can best see the area with a car, but if you do not want to drive, there is a bus stop 100m from the house which can take you around the area.
The nearest major train station in Bischofshofen, which you can access in 15 minutes by the bus.
There is a minimum 2 night stay, and min 5 night stay for peak periods.
There is a tourist tax of €2 per person from 15 years and older per night which is payable in resort in cash.
We offer 10% discounts for 5 nights or more, and 15% discount for 7 nights or more.

We love outdoor life and the mountains, and if we aren't looking after guests in the house we are probably hiking / biking / skiing in the mountains!
We bought Haus Schneeberg at the end of 2012. It was our dream to run a hospitality business in the mountains, and we chose the Hochk
