This cabin is cozy, unique, custom built by us. Rustic appeal with modern amenities. Relax in your private back yard around the firepit, horseshoes, or take a 7 minute walk down to Goose Lake where you can go fishing, or enjoy a swim in the crystal clear, sandy bottom lake. 20 miles from Wisconsin Dells, Marquette county is rich with wildlife and hiking. Our fishing rowboat and kayak are available for your use.
Right next door we own also Goose Lake Escape with similar features for multi family vacation! The entire house, deck, and back yard area are all for the guests to use alone during their stay.

Let me start by saying that the cabin was clean and well appointed. Now for the disappointing part. It is not on the lake and the location is less than desirable. I understand there is no indication that it is actually on the lake, so that is my fault for not delving into that further. Just wanted to make that clear so other potential renters don’t overlook that, the photos can be a bit unclear. Seeing the lake in person vs the pictures there is an obvious disparity. The lake is extremely overgrown with vegetation, not a place you would care to swim (unlike the pictures in the listing). Also there appears to be no public area around the lake (other than the boat launch drive) that is available for the guests to use. Walking around the neighborhood is disappointing as well. Most homes are run down with junk piles in the yard. Suffice it to say we were not completely satisfied. Based on the surrounding area we felt it was considerably overpriced. Our total with all the extra charges was $539 for 2 nights, very steep all things considered.

Mark is a great host. Him and his Co-host do a great job communicating and make sure to answer any questions while youtr there. Mark also knows someone that you can rent fishing kayaks for 25$ a day. The back yard is awesome and clean from any previous dog owners that might have stayed there. They also offer a large bucket of fire wood for 20$ a fill. They also provided a small welcome basket with all the stuff for s'mores. Overall a great experience and we hope to stay here again some day in the future.

This cabin is great for a getaway and small town atmosphere! It has everything you need! The people in the town of Oxford and surrounding areas are very friendly! My boyfriend and I had trouble starting our fire in the pit outside probably due to rain prior, and Mark came out to help promptly in the evening on a week night. Mark and Bridget were really great with communication and responded back quickly to all our questions. I recommend this place and other ones they own!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay. The cabin was clean. We enjoyed swimming and fishing in the nearby Goose lake. Mark and Bridget were friendly and responsive. It was about 30 min to Wisconsin Dells.

Cabin was in a great location and in good condition. While there are lots of beds, the bedrooms are open and therefore any light or sound impacts everyone. The bunk beds are also narrow. It was an easy walk to the lake for a swim and the lake was lovely. It is not close enough to carry the kayak easily, but across the highway is another lake with easy kayak rental and lake access. We enjoyed our time and had no issues with the cabin or hosts.

Nice little cabin. The only down fall, you are closer to your neighbors then you would expect. Yard does have privacy but you can hear every little peep. All in all we had fun.
