Welcome home to your clean, private room in the quiet, residential neighborhood of Fircrest, WA. Walking distance to Cheney Stadium, and easy access to the freeway make downtown Tacoma, Seattle, Gig Harbor, University Place or other nearby locales an easy drive. Bus lines nearby with direct routes to downtown, the mall and transfer stations for easy access to Seattle. We are a welcoming environment and look forward to meeting you.The bedroom is quiet and sports a queen-sized bed, nightstands with reading lamps, a small writing desk, a comfortable chair, extra blankets and closet space. There is a portable heater and a ceiling fan for comfort. The bathroom is adjacent and fresh linens and towels are supplied. A TV with an Amazon Fire Stick is mounted on the wall for your entertainment. Hulu, Prime Video and a few other streaming services are provided.

Getting around

Bus line nearby with easy access to downtown Tacoma and only one transfer to get to downtown Seattle. Freeway access is a breeze putting you in nearby Gig Harbor within minutes and downtown Seattle in less than an hour. 30-45 min to/from SEATAC airport. Uber and Lyft both operate in this area and the bus system is straightforward.

A code will be provided for the front door on the day of arrival. You may use that throughout the duration of your stay. Once inside, you will find your room at the top of the stairs.

Pets are not allowed. Service animals are not considered pets, however because there are other animals on site that don't respond well to others all service animals will need to remain in the room.

Houseguest Guidelines:

Check-in is typically any time after 4pm. Same-day check-in may have to be later. A code will be provided on the day of arrival for the front door. Late arrival is fine, but please communicate with us so we know and can be prepared.

This is a non-smoking environment, both inside and outside. This includes tobacco and marijuana products.

Please keep your door closed while not in the room – I try to keep the animals out of the guest room for guests who are more sensitive to pet dander.

A key is provided for your security and convenience. Simply leave it on the desk when you check out. A $50 rekeying fee will be charged for lost or missing keys.

The kitchen is available if you need it. Space can be made in the refrigerator. It's best if all food is labeled.

You are welcome to use the washer and dryer. I ask for $2 a load and you are welcome to the laundry soap, bleach and dryer sheets.

If there is space on the left side of the driveway you may park there (the right side must remain clear for me to enter/exit the garage). Otherwise there is always street parking available.

Feel free to adjust the space heater in your room to your comfort, though please turn it down/off while you are away.

The cats are somewhat friendly but cautious. Interact with them at your own risk. They are not allowed in guest room spaces. They are indoor/outdoor cats, so don't worry if they "escape" into the yard.

We respect your privacy; we ask that you do the same.

Checkout is at 11am. A fee will be charged for unplanned late checkouts.

Cancellation Policy
A full refund will be offered to guests who cancel up to 7 days prior to arrival. Between 0 and 7 days no refund will be offered. It is suggested that guests purchase travel insurance if there is a concern about this. If, after cancellation, the room is rebooked for some or all of that time, a refund may be offered.

Two cats live in the house but are not allowed inside the guest room. Parking is available, either on the street or in the driveway (left side only).
