Morning Song Farm's Bungalow is tucked into a hillside subtropical fruit grove and enjoys views of our organic farm and beyond. Sleeps 6 max, (with 2 sleeping on a queen sofa pullout in the livingroom) full kitchen, with private garden and your own tiny chicken barn with beautiful, miniature chickens. Add any of our optional classes to round out your trip: hand churned ice cream churning, jam making, or cheese/fresh butter making, beginning mosaic and acrylic pour art class. We'll send our Activity Guide describing all the classes and things to do in the area right after you've booked! We require a signed rental agreement.

Our farm's two bedroom bungalow home is a cute, well designed getaway that welcomes guests of all ages. Tucked into an old-growth avocado grove, a short path leads past your hidden hot tub and shaded picnic table to your front door. Each room has separate air conditioning and heating controls. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen bed. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed with a sliding door entrance to a hidden, picket-fenced garden. Two more guests can sleep on the living room FULL pullout coach, linens provided. Harvest herbs for your meals, show your kids where food comes from, or just soak up the pleasure of lounging in the garden and watching the bird and butterflies. Your private garden includes a miniature barn and gentle miniature chickens for your enjoyment. Indoors, the cozy living room has a Smart flatscreen tv with dvd and a library of movie-buff approved movies. No cable tv, but log into your Netflix or Hula account using our wifi. Mexican tiled bathroom with all the basics waiting for your arrival. Full kitchen with plenty of small appliances for your wonderful meals: rice cooker, crock pot, blender for your smoothies, food processor, healthy air popcorn maker, waffle iron, cook books. High-end Reverse Osmosis Nimbus five stage water filtration system. Many of the baking essentials have been provided: rice, baking powder, baking soda, salt, pepper, assorted spices. Full size refrigerator stocked with breakfast items for your stay, as well as high-end Reverse Osmosis Nimbus five stage water filtration system, Coffee maker and good coffee and several teas. Heated hot tub for your private use just steps from your front door, hidden under an avocado tree. The washer/dryer and folding station is housed in a separate building in your garden of the unit for your exclusive use.

Designated parking just for you, by the entrance to the garden path to your door. The path is short but does require a few steps up to the front door. Hike through the 20 acres of our farm during day light hours or take a good flashlight after sunset and marvel at the night sky when you've familiarized yourself with the roads. The nights here are truly amazing. We ask that you stay on the roads. Your picket fenced garden is accessed through the 2nd bedroom sliding door as well as a path from the front door, and has a demonstration herb garden for you to clip from most of the year.

The Oaks Restaurant is a couple miles away and is a rural destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also have a tiny produce stand/market and frequent market events. For something on the romantic side: down the road a bit further is Temecula Creek Inn's Cork Fire Kitchen. They have a fireside bar that is quite nice for enjoying a drink and chatting before heading home after a nice meal. We've gathered a few menus from cool local restaurants and the local winery down the road a piece, they're in the room for your perusal, as well as our Activity Guide that we send to you upon a confirmed reservation. It's also printed out and waiting for you in your living room. For half of the year there's a you-pick strawberry farm right down the road as well. You'll see small signs on Old 395 as you drive in from either direction. Absolutely awesome strawberries, pick them yourself, or buy them already harvested.

Just ask if you have questions about what to see or where to go, there's so much to do in San Diego and nearby Temecula/ Wine Country and the adjacent Fallbrook art community! We offer discounted private party cheese making classes to our farmstay guests, maximum: 5 farmstay adults, as well as a homemade, hand churned ice cream experience using a beautiful Amish-made ice cream hand crank machine as an add-on for those that would like to enjoy either as well as a jam making canning class.

Little known, even to San Diegans, Rainbow, California is adjacent to Fallbrook and is right off the I-15 freeway, yet Morning Song Farm seems like it's miles away from the city. One exit north you'll find Temecula's wine country, as well as the renowned Pechanga Resort and Casino. We're only a few minutes off the I-15, we're freeway close. 40 minutes or so to Oceanside's beautiful beaches and Carlsbad's flower fields and Legoland, and an exit south of Temecula's wine country tours, right in between San Diego's and Los Angeles' attractions. Twenty-five minutes or so from Cal State San Marcos University, thirty-five minutes or so from San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido and a little over an hour to Seaworld and world famous Balboa Park. The local farmers' market is on Saturday and is 15 minutes away in Old Town Temecula...a destination in itself. We're one exit south of Temecula. Be sure to check out Temecula Olive Oil Company's tasting bar if you find yourself in Old Town. Temecula has a number of vineyards eager to showcase their wines, wine country is one exit north of us (10-15 minutes) and if you book early enough, hot air ballooning is a local wine country favorite. There's a nearby u-pick strawberry field that shouldn't be missed when in season; and if you enjoy local wines, a mile from our farm entrance is Roadrunner Winery. They are very small and the owners spend most of their days tending their vines, so you do have to call ahead for a wine tasting to make sure they're tending the bar and not the vineyard. Many guests have remarked that their wine is quite good. Their contact information is included in our Activity Guide that we send out to your email (it's in PDF format) and it's in the Guest Guidebook found in the living room of the property.

No public transportation available, although there is an active Uber / Lyft community serving the area. Some guests choose to walk to nearby Roadrunner Winery. Other than that, a vehicle is a must.

We've listed our Bungalow as having a maximum occupancy of 6. Be aware that there are two bedrooms and two beds, each accommodating two guests max, so a 5th and 6th guests would be sleeping on the pull out full sized coach. Maximum occupancy is 6, please count all members of your party: young, old, and those that are employed by you.
When available, a solution for larger groups that want to stay on the same date is to book a one bedroom unit AND the two bedroom unit at the same time. There are a total of five vacation farmstay rental homes on the farm, and all five can be rented at the same time for a maximum of 20 guests at once. It's our intention that our guests are always delighted with the accommodations we offer and never feel overcrowded.

Incredible spot. The alpacas are adorable, the views are gorgeous, and that hot tub is for real delightful. The bungalow was quite spacious and perfect for two friends for the week. And the wifi was great for remote workers.

This was our second time staying at the farm. We love this beautiful farm and all of the amazing animals. Dawn is so helpful and her homes are beyond enjoyable. It was such a treat to wake up to the sound of roosters and chickens and to be able to walk out to our patio and visit and feed them any time we wanted. We will definitely be back again.

It was nice place for toddler to be with. They had toddler utencils and plates. We were away from any other guests except goat feeding. Everyone had masks on except Lance, the owner. Goats feeding was amazing as they are friendly and love to be fed and pet. I was hoping more fruits in the fridge, but I guess it was out of season... fresh eggs were really nice to have.

Perfect little retreat less than two hours from LA. Our stay had an unexpected monsoon of rain so we didn’t explore the farm as much as hoped but the house was cosy and clean and thankfully came with boardgames and snacks. The chickens and peacocks were friendly and fun for our three year and we even got to enjoy feeding the famous alpaca brothers during a break in the clouds. A great family escape.

This is the spot for nature lovers! You will love your stay there’s much to do but when you arrive you won’t want to leave to do them. I woke up every morning, to my rooster alarm 😁🏠🐓. A quick gaunt to the hot tub and watched the sun rise. The Views, priceless. I enjoyed a full day with the peacocks 🦚 lounging around with me. George is handsome and friendly, we had some good talks and became good friends fast. I enjoyed the use of the kitchen with the eggs I collected I made, quiche and with the lemons 🍋 (from home) lemon meringue pie. By far the best pie I’ve made yet. I really enjoyed myself and didn’t want to leave. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful place with us.

What a wonderful experience!! The property and location were gorgeous and we felt complete relaxation. The hot tub looking out over the mountains was wonderful. The farm fresh eggs were a fabulous touch! We will definitely be back! The only downside to the stay were the sheets on the bed. The sheets were a different material and made all of us sweat throughout the night. It was a bit uncomfortable but other than that our stay was quite pleasant!

Outstanding getaway!
We had a great time at Morning Song Farm. We especially enjoyed gathering eggs and the private hot tub. We enjoyed the farm's hand churned ice cream activity and learned how to make cheese. Not too far from great restaurants but far enough from town to enjoy the night sky. We'll be back!

Absolutely loved staying here! It truly was a magical trip. Such a beautiful and serene experience waking up with the beautiful sun shinning through the windows and chickens crowing. The kids loved feeding and loving on the animals and especially collecting farm fresh eggs every morning. The location was was perfect too being so close to all the little towns to explore! Donna was an incredible host and really made us feel at home. We enjoyed the hot tub at night under the stars. 100% would recommend!

We were double-checking with the host if there was a crib or pack 'n play and they never responded through Airbnb or text. When we arrived, we found they do not even though it was listed. We wanted to make the goat feeding but we missed it. Then we saw in the booklet that we're supposed to contact them to coordinate the goats...but we couldn't contact them. We were supposed to get a PDF of things to do through email but never received it. It felt like miscommunication through lack of communication. I was looking forward to farm fresh produce but there was none. Maybe they had a bad month though, so although disappointing, it's not a deal-breaker. Other than that, the chickens were the best part of the trip. That brought us closest to feeling like we're on the farm. The alpacas are lazy in the heat, and there was only one goat that would eat from our hands - the others just stood around. It was super hot when we visited but the room ACs at this place were wonderfully responsive. The TV is connected to a Roku box with fast internet so Youtube, Netflix, etc was used a lot at the house. That was awesome. The few snacks given were a nice touch. Lance, on check-in, recommended a good market about half an hour away (forgot to ask him how to contact them, only remembered after he left). Kitchen was well stocked.

Response:We have pac n plays available for guests' use. We're sorry that we dropped the ball on Alice's request for this amenity. No fruit farm in San Diego harvests every day, guests should not book with the expectation that they’ll be arriving during a harvest week. We harvest extras and offer to our guests whenever we can. Our Goat Interaction is offered daily. Those that arrive too late on their first day can always join us the next day if they'd like. While our guests can expect to enjoy air-conditioned stays here, our goats and alpacas will be slower and less responsive on the occasional very hot day. We don't actually have guests’ REAL email addresses; they’re hidden from us and we don't receive notifications that they’ve bounced or left unopened. We’re working on finding a tracking and confirmation solution for future guests, so that we can be certain everyone has our farm activity offerings, area guides (including markets and their addresses) before check in. All these are available in printed form in all our units. Morning Song Farm is our home, and we make reaching one us very easy if there’s something we’ve missed. We often meet and greet guests on arrival and provide a posted phone number in every home here that one of us answers from 7 to 7, every day. Of course, messaging through the Airbnb app works, too!

Wow...this is as tough as a job interview. Who am I? I really enjoy meeting different people, and count myself lucky to get to share this little slice of farming paradise with lots of well traveled guests. A confirmed Foodie, my original interest in growing things was for my own table. So a lot of what we grow here at Morning Song Farm is rare and unusual; dragon fruit, mulberries, macadamias, guavas, loquats, sapote, Carissa plum and kumquats. My shelves are proof of my eclectic tastes, including organic gardening books, mediation, political history, economics and numerous cheese making books which has become a focus for about a decade now. I teach it here for those that would like to discover how easy it is to make your own cheese! Just ask.
Aesthetics are important to me, I've worked hard to transform our farm into something beautiful...although it's an ongoing fight against the dark forces of weeds and derelict farm equipment. Friends say staying here is very relaxing.
