This historic home has German heritage, a homestead built by sheer will and perseverance. It graced the Reading Eagle on October 19, 1941. The Headline, "Woman at Work - She Helps Her Family Build Home", is a tribute to the immigrants from all over the world who fashion an amazing life from nothing. The apartment is original and built during the 1930-40's. It took 8 years to build this home. Every stone was picked up by hand by two boys. The apartment was a payment in kind for 8 years of labor. The boys carried masonry tools to school daily.

Limit one car per guest. 10+ restaurants within a 5 minute drive including Exeter Family and Sunset Diners. Washer & dryer availability for long-term Guests over 7 days.
