Emery Creek Cabin - Chatsworth

Let the calming sounds of the waterfalls and creeks melt away your worries in this spacious and serene mountain setting!

Make memories at our family's secluded cabin located at the intersection of the Chattahoochee National Forest, Fort Mountain State Park, and the Cohutta Wilderness. The cabin sits on over 20 acres of land ready to be explored with multiple waterfalls and a creek that flows throughout the property and a crystal clear swimming hole just a short hike down from the cabin!

The main entrance to the cabin does offer a no step option with a ramp off from the driveway. (Please note the driveway and ramp are still at a decent incline.) A smart lock is on the main entry door for convenient, contactless check-in. The spacious bedrooms, located on 3 different levels for added privacy, can accommodate up to 12 adults. The main living area is great for entertainment and flows into the dining area and kitchen for a very open concept. You can also cozy up by the gas fireplace with a good book or conversation.

Our secluded cabin is accessed via a private, mountainous, gravel road. This road is routinely traversed with 2WD vehicles, but we always recommend 4WD or AWD for guest comfort.

Satellite internet is the only internet access available in this secluded location. We have the best satellite internet offered, but even at that it is not ideal for streaming or gaming. You will notice spotty internet connection at times due to data caps and slowing speeds during peak hours.

There is no formal trash service for our cabin. We have the trash taken out after each guest stay, but sometimes the bear box gets full during longer stays. There is a local dumpster that is free to use and we encourage our guests to take some of their own refuse with them to the free dumpster if they notice they are filling up the bear box. There are black bears in the area and we prohibit any trash from being placed outside unless it is secured in the bear box.

There are two national forests and a state park that intersect with our property. As a result, we are surrounded by all kinds of critters that crawl, slither, and fly. Please let us know if any live insects or animals make their way into the cabin! Dead bugs are an expected occurrence as we have the cabin treated for pests regularly. Ladybugs seem to love our cabin and we hope they bring you some good luck if you see them!
