Welcome to my home! Thanks again for choosing to stay here.

As a reminder, this is a not a hotel so please leave the place as you found it.

The cleaning fee does not cover washing dishes, picking up trash, or moving furniture or any other items back to the original location.

Front door of apartment:

When entering the apartment only use the bottom lock. Top lock isn’t used. Turn key to the right

Door locks automatically upon closing so make sure you have the keys before leaving

Please respect checkout time of 11am and return the keys to the KeyCafe kiosck from which you picked them up

WI-FI:

Network: CFD5 or CFD2.4 / Password: cereal4dinner

Once in a while you may find it necessary to reboot the router if the wireless network is no longer available. Router is located on bottom shelf to the left of desk with speakers

No illegal file-sharing/Bittorrent usage is permitted. You are liable for any damages due to copyright infringement during your stay

Floors:

Please make sure everyone takes off their shoes before entering

The wood floors are prone to scratching and denting (please consider this when moving furniture around since dragging anything will leave a mark)

Kitchen:

Other than coffee, tea, and cooking basics (oil, salt, spices, etc.) please do not consume any food or drink that does not belong to you

Upon checking out please discard any open food takeout containers from the fridge

Do not put anything on the refrigerator, including magnets

Garbage:

Collection days: Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday

Saturday pickup includes recycling

Recycling is separated into 2 groups
1) Paper & cardboard (boxes should be broken down flat).
2) Plastic/Glass/Aluminum/any drink containers.

Clear plastic bags must be used for recycling, one for each group

Trash bags are located on shelf opposite of washer/dryer

Trash bags should be left on curb in front of building no earlier than 8PM on day prior to pickup (Monday, Wednesday, & Friday)

For this reason there may still be trash inside the cans or bagged in the laundry area when you arrive depending on what the day the last guest checked out

Do not leave any trash bags in the stairwell

Container recycling can is located in the laundry room

Paper/cardboard recycling can is the stepcan next to the desk with the speakers

Bathroom:
Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper in the toilet

Washer / Dryer:
Only use liquid laundry detergent labeled as “HE” (High Efficiency), which means it is designed for front-loading washers (low-sudsing formula)

Detergent is available on the shelf to the left of the washer/dryer or directly across from it

Detergent is poured into the leftmost section of the pull-out tray

Clean the dryer lint screen regularly to ensure best results

Noise:
Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm out of courtesy to the upstairs neighbors

Deck:

To turn on the lights on the deck railing use the red switch towards the bottom left of the door

To turn on the hanging lights use the black dimmer switch towards the bottom left of the door

Turn off all lights when not in use

Do not leave cigarette butts on the ground - please use the standing ashtray

If you bring any stools outside please bring them back inside afterwards to avoid weather-related damage

Piano:

Please do not leave any drinks on the piano

Cleaning:

There is a Swiffer-style mop, broom, and vaccuum in the laundry area to the right of the wood-top shelf

General cleaning supplies are located under the kitchen sink

Bathroom-specific cleaning supplies are located in the bottom cabinet inside the bathtub enclosure and on shelf to the left of washer/dryer

Trash bags are located on the shelf opposite washer/dryer
