Located in quiet and friendly Cape May Beach, NJ (Villas, NJ, Lower Township), DCT Cottage is family and pet-friendly. No beach tags are needed and dogs are allowed on the beach all year. Clean beaches are an important ecosystem for horseshoe crab migration. A visit to Cape May County, NJ will allow you to relax, refresh, and reconnect with loved ones and friends. At the same time, you will be only six miles from historic and exciting Cape May City and the ocean beaches.

THE TOUR:
First Floor -
The house is more than 1500 square feet. As you enter the home, you will see luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the first floor. The first room is the living room, with seating, built-in bookshelves, and a gas fireplace. This is a great quiet place to curl up with a book from our small book collection in the central A/C when you want some alone time while everyone else heads to the beach.
The back of the house hosts a warm and updated kitchen. There is an island with three bar stools for a quick meal and just about everything needed is included. There is a stacked washer/dryer and plenty of storage in the pantry. Electric glass top stove, dishwasher, standard oven/convection oven, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, and small appliances such as coffee maker and toaster.
Through the kitchen, you will enter the three-season room. A dining table that seats 6-8 provides a way to enjoy the outdoors while being protected from the weather. Large screened windows and two doors lead to the fenced backyard. There is a 2nd gas fireplace in this room, which will let you enjoy meals and time with family and friends outdoors even when it's cold outside (there is no A/C in the 3-season room, but the walls are screened, and include a ceiling fan).
Down the hallway on the first floor is the largest of the two full bathrooms. It has a large walk-in shower (no bathtub). There are two bedrooms to finish off the first floor, one with a full (double) bed and one with a queen bed. Both rooms include storage in dressers and/or closets. One bedroom includes a small secretary desk and chair.
Second Floor -
Upstairs you can create your own "Primary Suite" or open up the space for all your guests. The entire floor is brightly lit with natural light and has hardwood floors.
The Primary bedroom is large and beautifully furnished with a queen-sized bed, dressers, side tables, and other storage.
There is a smaller full bathroom. This includes a shower/tub combination, tucked under a dormer.
Finally, the Family Room (or use it as a fourth bedroom) is expansive and includes a sectional sofa, a bar and bar stools, a 65" large screen smart television, and board games for guests to enjoy. There is plenty of room to bring an air mattress to use this room for extra sleeping space for our capacity of 10 guests. Out the back of the family room, you will enjoy a rooftop deck, often shaded by the large trees in the neighborhood, offering seating for several to enjoy.
Outside -
The front yard is the classic beach yard - stones and crushed sea shells. Parking is available for up to two cars in the driveway and three more cars on the street in front of the house.
The shaded backyard is private and includes a storage box that houses beach chairs, toys, and games. The fully fenced yard will keep your dog and/or children safe. A picnic table and outdoor chairs provide even more summer fun seating.
With a FRIDAY changeover day in the summer months, you can get a jump ahead of beach traffic and enjoy more time on vacation. Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am so our housekeeping and maintenance staff can ready the rental for every guest.
