The house was like it was described. It was a big house with plenty of room for my family. We had an issue with the air conditioning system upstairs and he took care of it fast. The neighborhood is quiet and the houses are close together, but the neighbors did not bother us. There is a bagel shop within walking distance and my family gave it great reviews. Less than five minutes from downtown Durham, NCCU, and Duke.

Lamonte’s place was exactly what we were looking for our alumni trip to Durham. It did exactly what we need it to do but may not be for others looking to spend more time in the Airbnb. The place was quite old / not super well maintained and the floors were noticeably dirty.

This historic home has lots of room - 2 Living Rooms! It was nice for us to be able to spread out. It has 3 parking spots which is super useful -just be careful entering the narrow driveway. It was also great to have 3 bathrooms! The proximity to downtown is a plus.

**PETS: DOGS ALLOWED BY PRE-APPROVAL ONLY and ADDITIONAL $50 PET CLEANING FEE. There is also a 30lb weight limit *$50 Pet Fee must be paid prior to check-in or your dog will not be allowed on the property. *Your dog should be friendly and house trained. Dogs that utilize pee pads are NOT allowed. *Your dog must be supervised by you at all times or crated in the room if left alone. *Any dog that becomes disruptive will need to be removed immediately. *You will be charged for any damage caused by your dog No smoking - $200 smoke removal fee Small events like dinner parties are allowed, but no loud music that can be heard by neighbors. No events that have a entrance fee and no events with over 20 people(unless outside). Absolutely no DJ setups. Tents, tables, and chairs are available for use for additional fees. No use of candles. No loud noises after 11pm. Locked closets stay locked. They have sensors that notify host. Guest attending the Cookery are encouraged to stay with us but no after party gatherings of more than 14 people after your Cookery event. Cameras are outside(front and back) for security. Do not cover or disconnect the cameras. No smokingCheck-in is anytime after 3:00 PM

This is the perfect home for a family stay or just a girls trip destination if you want to spend a weekend in Downtown Durham. Perfect place to stay for the weekend when enjoying a show at the DPAC. The Cookery(a wedding/reception venue) is a 2 minute walk.

We get a lot of questions asking if one of the bedrooms is downstairs. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and full bath downstairs.

Please to do not look at G-Maps street view for the house or neighborhood vibe. It has really been remodeled and revitalized since the 7 year old view that you will see there.

The house is also the perfect place for a small outdoor event. Message us about event rules BEFORE booking to have an event. Table, chairs and tents are provided for an additional fee.
