Welcome to Oakhaven, a unique property with idyllic outdoor space, privacy, driveway and more!

Relax and unwind in this lovely 1 BR, 1 BA, 2-story up island cottage. Access to Lambert’s Cove beach, VH ferry, bike trails, and more yet far enough away from the bustle of summer island activity.

Linen and bath towels are included. Beach towels, beach chairs and a beach umbrella are also available for your use. Ideal for single travelers, couple or 4 (max) seeking a great vacation experience.
Newly updated, fireplace, BBQ grill & private patio. One (1) large upstairs bedroom, full bath, refreshing outdoor shower. Queen sleeper in living room, well equipped kitchen. On cool evenings, enjoy sitting around the fireplace with your favorite beverage. All linen, towels, beach towels and umbrella are provided. Enjoy quintessential island living in a peaceful setting!

Away from the crowds and traffic, the Cottage is less than 10 minutes drive from Vineyard Haven Ferry, a short drive to Oak Bluffs and Edgartown while also providing convenient access to Chilmark and Aquinnah. Approximately 3 miles drive to Lambert’s Cove Beach, one of the most beautiful white sand beaches on the island (beach stickers are available from Parks and Recreation for $10); a short walk to State Forest, minutes to West Tisbury Center and Martha’s Vineyard airport by car, bus or bike.

Amenities include free WiFi, smart TV, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, coffee maker, outdoor shower, BBQ grill and private patio for al fresco dining. Beach chairs and umbrella. Bike rentals are available for delivery to the property.

Please use only our energy efficient mini-split A/C / heat pump system for heating and cooling the house. Look for the WHITE SAMSUNG REMOTE CONTROL in each room to operate the units which is very user friendly. Please keep the electric baseboard heaters OFF at all times. Use of the electric baseboard heaters may result in additional fees.

Guest Access
Guests have full use of the entire guest house, its private driveway and parking area, outdoor shower, and BBQ grill. The garage, main house and outbuildings are private.

Start your island vacation listening to crashing waves and breathing fresh sea air. Drive on back roads and stop for turkeys, not traffic lights. Go back in time and walk past Captain's houses, wander through the historic Campgrounds and marvel at the colorful and charming gingerbread cottages. Visit the five light houses, the Arboretum and Lake Tashmoo. Make lasting memories taking in breathtaking sunsets. Following a day at the beach (with sandy feet) and sightseeing, put your your feet up and relax in front of the warm fireplace.

This is a fantastic place to stay! Our first visit to Martha’s Vineyard was very pleasant, staying at Laura’s place with our two young children. The ferry ports are within easy reach, as are three towns - Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. Everything you might need to shop for can be found within a few miles Vineyard Haven where there are nice eateries and a good supermarket. Laura is super attentive, the cottage is equipped with all you could possibly need. We were especially impressed with the provision of beach towels, deck chairs and a parasol for the beach. Lamberts Cove (which is a residents only access beach) is a must see (a special pass is required and easily purchased after booking). Thanks so much for your kind hospitality Laura! Very best wishes.

The location is just great - far enough away from the three main towns to be tranquil (but close enough when you wanted to visit them!) and a five minute bike ride to the National Park trail which is awesome. The cottage was very comfortable for my husband and I. The bathroom was lovely and spacious and there was great water pressure for the shower. Tthe washer and dryer looked practically new and were very convenient. The only thing to be aware of is the main road you turn onto to get to the house is unpaved and you need to go slow. Isn't really an issue, just a nice to know so you are prepared. Slows you down to Martha's Vineyard time! :)

This cottage is perfect for 2-4 guests. There is plenty of space for everyone to connect, or have a little space to themselves. The location is superb----close to Scottie B's and Alleys---great coffee spots! Loved the privacy and the feeling of security. Close to Nat's Farm trail if you walk or bike ride, and Lambert's Cove---great for beaching with children (or without) and relaxing. Kitchen is well appointed so you don't need to think about bringing anything extra. Host is responsive to questions you may have. You will want to visit again.

Oak Haven cottage was a cozy dream for a week on MV. We stayed here during August a peak activity month on the island and it was a serene escape from the bustle and crowds. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Oakhaven with our one year old daughter. Laura is a super responsive and helpful host. She left a guidebook with tips and also answered any questions I had before the trip and during it promptly. The house is tucked back on a quiet street in West Tisbury which was a perfect central location for us to explore all parts of the island. Our favorite though was visiting Lambert’s Cove beach and Menemsha. The kitchen was stocked well and it was so nice to have beach equipment provided. Washer and dryer also worked perfectly. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely lovely house! Just enough space for our family of four. Loved how private the lot was. Having mini splits for AC was a great in this heat we’ve had! The house was clean and set up with nice furniture! Will definitely want to rent here in the future!

Travel between Woods Hole and Martha's Vineyard: The trip to Martha’s Vineyard from Woods Hold takes only 45 minutes. Advance vehicle reservations are required and can be booked online, by phone or in person at our Woods Hole and Martha’s Vineyard ticket offices located in the Vineyard Haven terminal year-round and seasonally at the Oak Bluffs terminal. Passengers traveling to Martha’s Vineyard without a vehicle may purchase tickets at any terminal on the day of sailing.
