great family wedding stay
My daughter was married at Look Park and we stayed here with our other adult kids and their spouses - 7 in total. Location was very convenient to Northampton. Owner did a great job taking what I'd describe as a typical mid-sized suburban split-level house and redoing the floors, the kitchen, the bathrooms and the deck and making it into a very nice rental. Having a kitchen, dining room and a living room for a group is so great, and we also saved $s compared to 4 separate hotels rooms each night - so a win on all counts. Owner was very communicative - it's clear she runs this as a business and not a hobby - which I see as a very big positive. Also, a long rail trail passes by about 100 yards away- very helpful for the morning runners in my family. Definitely recommend.

Very responsive, friendly host. Had a great time. The place was rather dry due to the heating system (we stayed over New Years) so a humidifier might be good to pack :) also the water is HOT. Awesome stay and the place was absolutely spotless. Colleen also left us some coffee and snacks, which was very thoughtful.

This property is in a great location, the home was clean, and the host was very responsive. While we enjoyed our stay overall, we did find the cleaning list required for checkout to be excessive given the high cleaning and additional guest fees ($600 for two nights, with overall fees costing more than 40% of the total). Additionally, requirements to provide an electronic copy of my license, containing a photo and sensitive personal information, as well as the full names of all guests raised privacy and data storage concerns for me and my group. I and others in our group had previously stayed in many short-term rentals and had not been asked for these items, or to sign a separate lease. Once checked in, we requested to have two friends visit for a few hours (not overnight); while the host kindly approved, we were also required to provide their full names and address as well.

Any legal rental or hotel is required to maintain this information as well. It is very important to us that we are great community members and don't overload our home.

Great location and host
We stayed at Colleen’s house while we were visiting our sons at Amherst. It was conveniently located to Amherst and the surrounding area and the house was clean. Colleen was a great host. The only reason I gave it less than 5 stars is because there was a musty smell when we entered the house. I think had we stayed longer and had a chance to air the house out, it may have been better.

Response:We have since replaced all rugs with hardwood flooring and composite hardwood flooring through out the house for a fresh, clean and low allergen home. We are constantly improving and updating our home for our guest's to enjoy a great stay!

Building sandcastles with my grandparents, taking a dip in crystal clear water on a hot day, spending time with our extended beach family and developing a passion for coastal landscapes. Colleen sends an email with property access instructions, area updates and recommendations with door code about a week before check-in once all paperwork is received. We do offer pricing on early check-in/ late check-outs as well.

House Rules
-This property is not rented as a venue of any kind. No events or parties.
- No Smoking of any kind is permitted in or on the property. Vaping, Juuling and e-cigarettes are prohibited. Damage deposit will be kept.
- The Bookee ( airbnb profile) must be part of rental group and staying at property, no booking for others.
-Alteration requests for dates/ confirmed reservations will not be accepted due to cancellation policy. -Our home is in a family friendly neighborhood in which we also reside. - Dogs considered. Prefer to be crate trained. Dogs must be pre-approved and $250 pet fee paid in full/dog,
-Dogs must be cleaned up after in the yard. No cats. -Only service dogs can be accepted due to health code. Allow for verification and must accompany guest at all times, cannot be left alone at home.
- Guests are required to sign/confirm a rental agreement, with all guests names outlined and provide a color copy of their driver’s license utilized for check-in purposes.
- We ask all guests maintain our home throughout their stay.
- Pricing/ reservation accepted based on group size provided at time of booking. Additional guests/visitors added cost and must be pre-approved prior to arrival by owner. Having any additional or unauthorized guests is cause to have your reservation cancelled immediately, damages incurred by owner and without refund.
-Any illegal activity, reason for the police to be called or fraudulent representations of group will be cause for immediate cancellation of reservation/vacating of premises, damages suffered by property owner and no refund.
-Our home can accommodate a max of 2 Infants per stay.
-We ask that guests are respectful of our house, property and our neighbors. Guests will be responsible for being mindful of noise levels after 10pm.
-Our home can accommodate a max of 5 cars parked in the driveway. No on street or green space parking for any reason is permitted at our home.
- AC part of pricing for Memorial Day to Labor Day only. Contact Colleen for AC availability/ pricing outside of this time period.
- No RV's/ trailers or leaky vehicle/ additional vehicle or appliance charging of any kind or $1000 damage will be kept. No camping or out buildings on premises.
-Exterior security camera on property for check-in and group verifications in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws and required by insurance. Facing font yard and backyard.
-Refundable damage deposit of $,1000 is collected via Stripe Invoice with required email provided.
