Welcome to our neat, fully furnished 1-bedroom studio, geared with a private entrance that ensures your undisturbed tranquility throughout your stay. They were both very friendly. In the photos you can’t tell that this is all an open space with no door on the bedroom.

Response:Thank you for your review. We are surprised that your stay was not as you expected. There is much to do in our area and when requested, we provided the information to your partner. There is hiking, fishing , shopping, attractions and more all within 30 minutes of our unit. The studio apartment is just that. The pictures do not reflect a door for the bedroom area and the sofa folds out to a full size bed to sleep additional people. The grill is shared with the other unit and us, but we purposely cooked earlier so that it would not interrupt your day. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Lisa was very responsive on all her texts, and she was gracious enough to let us check in early, which we really appreciated. That way we could bring our stuff in and get changed before we went rafting. It felt very safe and secure, but it wasn’t very private. I was kind of confused about how the layout was I didn’t realize it was actually a part of the building. Like they are in the same building where the stairs are located. The one bed was nice and comfortable just a little softer than we like . The sheets were great. The TV access was nice and having an ice-maker in the fridge was very convenient. The hot tub was wonderful, was just startled by the guy coming out to show us how to push a button. I didn’t realize the hot tub was being watched by the owners. The chickens were neat for us city folk. Very easy access to the studio.

no hot water thus morning for shower extremely noisy smelly blankets on bed

Response:I apologize that this was your experience, to my knowledge, we have not had water issues in the past. We did verify that the hot water is working in the unit. It puzzles me as to why it was not working. All lines, towels and pillows are washed after each use. Unscented detergent is used as to not aggravate allergies. I appreciate your feedback. **please read if you are bringing dogs!** Lisa was very kind and receptive. I enjoyed the room and the cleanliness! The location is very pretty. However, there are a lot of things I wish I knew before staying, because I wouldn’t have if I was informed of these things that are not in the listings description. -the ceiling is paper thin. Being downstairs can be noisy, but this would startle me and the dogs. I can sleep through lots of noise, but this was always too loud to dismiss. Like furniture being dragged. Things dropped. -many free roaming chickens where the dogs go potty, need I say more. -5 dogs live upstairs. The dogs would bark at mine when we went out to potty. They brought them inside after a few minutes, thankfully. - neighbor has 2 very protective large dogs that bark nonstop at my dogs. Neighbor brought them in. I did tell Lisa about the noise and sent her a video with the noises I heard. She was kind and receptive. But it didn’t help after a while, it started back up.

Response:I appreciate your kindness in acknowledging how kind and receptive we were when we interacted. However, we have had numerous breeds of dogs over the 3 years we have been open and have never had an issue until now with the chickens. Our chickens did not harrass you nor did they try to harm you or your dogs. I told you about the neighbors dogs at check in and about the fact they would bark but could not harm you as they are fenced. With 3 acres to roam here there was plenty of room for you to have avoided both the chickens and the neighbors' dogs. We have 4 dogs in the home which are all rescues. I also told you about them at check in. They stay in the house except to go outside and do their business in their fenced in designated area. As far as the "noise" you recorded. As I stated to you, quiet hours are from 11 pm until 10 am 7 days per week. During the week, we do have to get up to go to work, but we are on the other side of the house from this unit. The noise you heard was before quiet hours and it was because my husband was blocking off the dogs from going into certain areas of the house while you were staying. We are very respectful of our guests. Many guests have been return visitors and some have even spent time with us at meal time. It is disheartening that these issues would be blown out of proportion as they have been. I am sorry that you feel this way, but I do feel this is over blown. I hope wherever you stay the next time, is more acceptable to you. Happy travels!

We have owned and operated our unique units for more than 4 years. We have a large family and have lived in the area for many years. We are located in the foothills of East Tennessee near many lakes, rivers and streams. There are passenger trains, hiking, fishing, rafting, and so much more that our area has to offer. The train boards five minutes from our place, so we are in the perfect place for you to rest up before enjoying the ride! The restaurants in the area are great too! There are many wedding and event venues in the area and we are convenient to all. We also love to meet and greet folks and brag on our area as much as we can! We love hear your stories and connect with you. We also have had travelling nurses and lay people stay with us for extended periods of time and many return customers who have become friends. Guest are responsible for washing dishes, silverware and glassware and taking out all garbage to dumpster before checking out. Please leave all appliances and electronics in the same condition as when you checked in. If dirty dishes pots and pans and stove are left dirty, there is an additional $75.00 cleaning fee. If electronics have to be re-programmed, re-hooked up or reconfigured back to standards for the next Guest, there will be a $75 .00 labor fee. Pets are welcome. If outside, they must be on a leash. If left in the apartment by themselves, they must be in a crate. Any pet damages will be an extra charge. We realize sometimes things happen, please keep us informed of any issues. The unit is a smoke free unit, if smoking is done in unit or building, there will be a $350.00 cleaning fee. SORRY FOR THIS, BUT WE HAVE HAD A LOT OF PEOPLE BREAKING THE RULES.RESERVATIONS: Number of people listed for the stay is important! More than Two adults per unit, there is a $16.00 PER PERSON, PER DAY During the stay. PLEASE DON’T SHOW UP WITH MORE THAN THE RESERVATION HAS LISTED, ONLY REGISTERED GUEST ARE THE ONES ALLOWED ON PROPERTY AND STAYING IN THE UNIT, without permission in advance, the Pool and Hot tub is for Registered Guests ONLY! RESERVATION WILL HAVE TO BE CORRECTED BEFORE THE STAY BEGINS.
NOTE: ALL DOGS HAVE TO BE CONFINED IN A CRATE WHEN LEFT IN RENTAL, LOCKING A DOG IN THE BATHROOM WILL CAUSE DAMAGE. $125.00 Damage Cleaning FEE for Sanitizing (Urine & Poop) PLUS ANY DAMAGE. We offer a dog crate (size 42in Long x 28 in wide X 30in high) with a mat (replacement fee for mat is $30.00) Rental is $10.00 per Visit(limit of 5 Days). Fees are invoiced and are due at check-out time.
