Corolla Sunset is a 7 bed (3 Masters), 5.5 bath Semi-Oceanfront home with a Private Pool, Hot Tub, and newly updated game room! Located less than 1/2 mile before the paved road ends and the 4x4 beach begins, this home gives you the chance to explore the Currituck Banks Reserve - home of the famous Corolla Wild Horses - without needing a 4 wheel drive vehicle. For those with a 4x4 planning to spend their days exploring Carova, you can air down before leaving the house! The back deck features views of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the wilderness of the reserve.

Beach access is just 3 houses away. New for 2022 will be a total of 3 King beds, with the remaining beds consisting of 2 Queen beds, a room with a Twin and Full, and a Bunk room with a Twin over Full custom built-in bunk.

Updated furniture and decorations

The Villages at Ocean Hill is the northernmost community in Corolla accessible by 2 wheel drive. Amenities include two swimming pools, an ocean front snack bar, basketball, tennis, and pickleball courts, and a fitness center (fee required). Just outside of the neighborhood is the Currituck Banks Reserve Maritime Forest Trail - a 0.3 mile boardwalk leading to a sound front deck as well as a 0.75 mile hiking trail through the forest. A short bike ride of just over a mile down a pedestrian path youll find the Historic Corolla Park where you can climb the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, tour the historic Whalehead Club, visit the The Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education or the new Maritime Museum, or watch the sunset over the sound.

**Note: We have a Ring doorbell camera installed on the ground floor front door next to the digital keypad lock. The camera has a limited line of sight within the carport down to the street as it is enclosed by the house to the right and lattice to the left.

My wife and I are originally from Central and Western Virginia, but both have a shared love of the beach! After getting married, we vacationed in the Caribbean and the Florida Keys but having kids changes things. Our twin boys were born in 2017 and we decided to return to the Outer Banks, where both of us vacationed with our families when we were kids and quickly remembered why these beaches are so special. We resolved to purchase our own piece of paradise in Corolla with the ultimate goal of building memories as a family and that dream has become a reality. Our goal is to provide a home that, as guests, would make us want to come back which is why we have ultimately decided part ways with our Property Manager and self manage.

Policies and Rules

Check In: 4PM - Flexible

The home uses a keyless entry via keypad on the ground floor. Your unique door code will be supplied before check in. Check in and out times are firm to ensure the home is ready for each guest.

Minimum age limit for renters: 25

In addition to returning a signed copy of the Vacation Rental Agreement, you must provide a copy of the front and back of the credit card holder's government issued photo ID to confirm the reservation.

Refundable Damage Deposit

A $500.00 security deposit is included in the booking. Security deposits are refunded within 14 days of departure.

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation, no refund of rents paid will be made until the period is re-rented and confirmed. If the period is re-rented at the same rate as the original lease of the original Tenant, all monies paid are refunded within 14 days less a $75 cancellation fee, if applicable. However, if the rental rate is negotiated to a lower rate or rented for a lesser time period, the original Tenant will only be refunded the lower (or lesser) rental amount as owners are to receive the full amount of the original lease. Owner will make every effort to re-rent the property at the full amount. Trip Insurance is non-refundable. Balances due for leases two weeks or longer must be paid in full prior to check-in even if a portion of the period was not able to be re-rented.
