The Tranquil Turtle first floor condo has been decorated and furnished in tropical beach style to reflect the unique atmosphere of Hawaii. This home away from home features an island-style furnished bedroom with California King bed, a cozy living room with a Queen size sofa bed, a remodeled and fully stocked modern kitchen, a central eating area with a table for four and a two seat island and a recently remodeled bathroom with a walk in shower. The bedroom may be closed off from the living area with frosted glass pocket doors and additional curtains to allow more privacy.
We offer cable TV, upgraded Internet connection and a high end Wi-Fi access point (Work-From-Hawaii ready: the Internet connection is up to 300Mbps, WiFi within the condo is up to 5334 Mbps.)
Don’t overlook the fact that this condo uses a premium split-system for air conditioning. Not only this provides you with an elevated level of comfort, it also means no tropical insects or any other living things will be entering the condo through window A/Cs in your sleep (yes, this is tropics!).
Pack lightly for the beach! Our condo is stocked with all the necessary: beach towels, beach chairs, a small cooler, sun umbrellas and beach toys for kids. All of that fits into a convenient cart that helps you take all the gear to the beach in no time.
Our condo is on the "quiet" side of the resort, away from the traffic noise of South Kihei Rd and the parking lots of the resort. Because it is toward the rear of the resort, it is very private with much less foot traffic going by. There is also a second (less busier) swimming pool located right across this building. This way you can watch your family play in the pool without leaving the comfort of the condo, while enjoying the view of wonderful local plants from the lanai.

Maui Banyan Resort offers its visitors 2 pools with hot tubs, BBQ areas, tennis court and 24/7 security, but the best part of it, is it's location. It is right across the street from one of the best beaches in South Maui, Kamaole Beach 2, where you can take long walks on the sand, snorkel with sea turtles, watch Humpback whales swim by, have a picnic, work on your tan, and witness a world famous Maui Sunset. The Kamaole Beach 2 has a lifeguard on duty during the day.
If you feel like taking surfing lessons or trying stand-up paddleboarding, rentals are a 3-minute drive away at the best beginner surf spot on Maui. There are also lots of other activities close by including scuba diving, kayaking, and world-class golfing.
Feel like an evening out? You are a short walk to some of the most popular restaurants and shopping in South Kihei including Cafe O'Lei, Coconuts, Fred's, Moose McGillycuddy's, just to name a few. There are also lots of quick bites, food trucks, a health food store, a convenience store, and a supermarket close by plus plenty of souvenir shops.
Wailea is also only a 5-minute drive to the south where there are plenty of upscale dining options (Ko, Ferraro's, Monkeypod, Mateo, Spago, Duo) and high-end shopping at one of the resorts or the Shops at Wailea.
You are also in the perfect location to explore the rest of the island. Day trips to Haleakala Crater, Paia, Makawao, Kaanapali and Hana are all very easy from our condo's central locations. Take Mayor Elmer F Cravalho Way. Take Left onto Maui Veterans HWY 311, merge onto Piilani Highway 31 going South and drive for about 6 miles. Turn right onto Keonekai Rd. Turn right onto S Kihei Rd. Maui Banyan Access Road is the first entry on the right. Stop near the Maui Banyan office to grab a parking pass. Park in your designated parking spot (Please check all parking instructions in our Access Instructions doc).

Policies and Rules
Booking via Houfy: A signed rental agreement and ID of the credit card holder will be required before the booking is confirmed.
Rental Party & Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 3 persons (including kids and infants).
Check-in & Check-out: Directions, condo access code, access instructions as well as our on-island agent's phone numbers will be provided prior to your arrival. Check-in time is 4 pm (HST) and check-out time 11 am (HST). Early/late check-in/check-out must be requested at least 2 weeks in advance and may be available on a case-by-case basis. If you have a late flight and require a late check out, you’re encouraged to book an extra night.
Upon check-in the unit will have been professionally cleaned for you and all items should be in working order. If you have any cleaning issues or find any broken items, contact us immediately. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Parking: Parking is limited to one (1) space. Guest may only park in a designated parking stall. Guest should get a free Parking Permit at the Maui Banyan Office. Guest must display the Parking Permit on the dashboard at all times. Failure to display may result in towing of vehicle at Guest's expense.
No Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside the condo, on the lanai or anywhere on the property, unless specifically designated as a smoking area. The designated smoking sections are located by the entrance to the parking garage and in the parking lot at the back of the property. Evidence of smoking inside the condo or on the lanai will result in additional $450 cleaning fee.
No Pets: No pets are allowed under any conditions.
Noise Violations: Guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors. Code-enforced building quiet hours are from 10:00p.m. – 8:00a.m. The guest is financially responsible for any excessive noise fines.
Common Area Appearance: All items (such as lawn chairs and toys) must be removed from common areas when not in use. Please limit the number of personal items (including beach items and shoes) by entry ways. Please do not hang laundry, towels, etc. over lanai railings. Surfboards and other big water toys may not be left on the lanai. There is a storage for them on the left side of the garage entrance. Bicycles may not be left in in the common areas.
Starting supplies: We provide a limited supply of consumable items such as toilet paper, paper towels, toiletries, dish liquid, cleaning products, etc. Since people consume this items at varying rates, guest should plan on replenishing these items as they are needed.
A/C and electricity usage: Electricity in Hawaii is very expensive and not green. Cooperation in reducing unnecessary usage is expected. Please use AC sparingly and intermittently. Please make sure you turn off the AC when you open lanai doors or when you leave. Unplug kitchen electronics when not in use (coffee maker, kettle, toaster, etc.). Turn off other electronics when not in use (TV, lamps, etc.).
Cleaning Fee: The cleaning fee is non-refundable once guest has occupied the property. No cleaning service is provided during the guest’s stay unless arranged ahead of time for an additional fee. Guest shall be liable for extra cleaning charges to be deducted from the security deposit if property is left in poor condition.
Upkeep & Maintenance: Guest shall keep and maintain the premises in a clean and sanitary condition, and upon the termination of the tenancy shall surrender the premises to the Homeowner in as good condition as when received. Under no circumstances can any furnishing or linen to be taken outside or to the beach, with the exception of provided beach gear and beach towels.
Access: Guest shall allow Homeowner or Homeowner’s representative access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner.
Child Proofing: No specific effort has been made to “childproof” the property. Guest accepts the risk of harm to any child allowed on the property. These risks include, but no limited to access to the lanai, the pool, the ocean, the adjacent street, and any cleaning supplies in the house that might be poisonous if ingested.
Bugs&Pests: The island, due to the year round tropical environment, have bugs and pests that may appear from time to time. To prevent any unwanted houseguests, please do not leave any food or any open food items out! Also, do not leave any dirty dishes in the sink and make sure to throw the trash out daily. We perform regular pest control, but some bugs&pests are seasonal and may enter the house despite all efforts. If you do find some unwanted guests, please let us know right away and we will arrange the pest control visit ASAP. Under no circumstances will any of the rental money be refunded due to the appearance of any of these pests.
Owner's closet: There's an owner's closet in the condo that's locked and not accessible for guests during their stay. If found open upon arrival, Guest should notify the Homeowner ASAP.
Appliances & Repairs: Homeowner is not responsible for compensation of any part of rent, due to failure of fixtures, appliances, or utilities resulting in short term inconveniences. Repairs will be made as quickly as possible once Homeowner is notified.
Damages: Guest shall be financially responsible for damages or any breach of these house rules caused by guest’s negligence or that of guests family or invitees. Any cost incurred by Homeowner due to guest’s stay including but not limited to fines for smoking and noise violations; dirt or other mess requiring excessive cleaning; broken or damaged furniture, appliances, etc. will be billed to the Guest via Airbnb resolution center and should be paid in a timely manner.
Termination: If guests violate any house rules, Homeowners may, at Homeowner’s sole discretion, terminate this rental agreement with no refund of the used portions of the rent.
Check-out Rules: Upon check-out we ask our guests to make their dishes, take out all trash to the outside trash bin, brush off the sand from all used beach gear, and report ASAP any damages.
General Rules: Keep house, furniture, and furnishings in good order. Under no circumstances can any furnishing or linen to be taken outside or to the beach, with the exception of provided beach gear.
Rinse off sand before returning to the apartment. Rinse showers are available at the beach and by the main entrance to the Maui Banyan complex.
There are some board games, puzzles and books available for guests use. Please take care of these items so that all our guests can enjoy them.
Report ASAP any damages.
Release of Liability: Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of guests. Property owners are held harmless for injury or death that may arise from use of gear such as snorkel gear, boogie boards or flotation devices. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 21 days before your check-in date. This payment will also be processed through Square.
We collect refundable security deposit via Venmo to avoid processing fees.
Exceptions: We understand the importance of repeat business and are happy to waive the security deposit for returning guests. Please contact us directly with the information regarding your previous stay at Tranquil Turtle Retreat to confirm your eligibility.

Cancellations made between 14 and 21 days prior to check-in: You will receive a 70% refund of the total reservation amount paid.
Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to check-in: No refund will be issued.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip in case of unexpected circumstances.
