Welcome to our Stevenson, WA Columbia River waterfront Columbia Gorge River House! You will be amazed by the panoramic and breathtaking 180-degree views of the Columbia River, Cascade Locks Bridge of the Gods (starring in the movie WILD!), and Cascade Mountain Range in this spectacular 2400 sq ft 4 bedroom waterfront craftsman home that sleeps up to 6 guests. You will feel on vacation the minute you walk through the door and see the water and mountains thru a wall of windows and glass doors just steps away! This paradise vacation retreat is located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge in Stevenson, Washington, only 45 minutes east of Portland/PDX and a beautiful 20 minute drive west of Hood River. This is the Perfect central Gorge location for day trips throughout the area when you are not enjoying activities on the water.

The Columbia Gorge River House is one of only a very few homes and lodging located directly on the Columbia River. The easy low-bank river access from our private cove offers the ideal launching area for water sports, wind surfing, kayaking, and SUP. Youll have a private front-row seat to watch summer CGRA sailing events, SUP standup paddle and Gorge Outrigger races, Bridge of the Gods Kite Surfing, and July 4th fireworks. You can leave your car parked once you arrive, as you are in the center of it all, an easy 1-2 block stroll to shops, grocery store, cafes, restaurants, pubs, award-winning Walking Man Brewery, parks, windsurf and kite board beaches.

The River House includes quality furniture, linens, appliances, and slate floors. High vaulted ceilings in the main-level living area and two upstairs bedrooms and bath. The main level includes one bedroom and bath, kitchen/dining, living, and tiki bar room, and opens to the waterfront deck and side patio with BBQ. The lower level includes the 4th bedroom and family room which leads directly through a wall of glass doors to a waterfront stone patio with just a few rustic steps down to the river. You will find plenty of outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ for summer grilling, alfresco dining and lounging.

Stevenson is a great area for enjoying spas and hot springs, golfing, hiking, biking, rock climbing, fishing, river rafting, birding, visiting wineries, breweries, whiskey and hard cider distilleries, and museums. It is the perfect central location for day trips to Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Maryhill Museum, Maryhill Winery, Carson Hot Springs, Beacon Rock, Dog Mountain, Multnomah Falls, Portland, and the Oregon Coast.

After a day of activities, you will love coming home to relax on your own private waterfront just in time to watch the sunset and enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer. It does not get better than this!

PLEASE NOTE: The railroad runs along the river throughout the gorge and is across the street from our home and from all waterfront homes, lodges, and cabins. Most of us get used to the sounds and movements, but some may be bothered by the frequent trains at night so please discuss with your family before booking.

The Owners live just down the street and are happy to provide you with information for activities and events happening during your stay. Tours can also be arranged to visit wineries, breweries, waterfalls, hiking locations, and much more. Let us know your interests!

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY AT ALL TIMES is 6 Registered-only guests in and on the property, and 2 cars. No extra/non-registered visitors at any time, no Parties, no Event or Wedding related groups or activities, no Motor Boats, Jet Skis, Trailers, Tents or RV/Campers are allowed. No pets No smoking in or on the property.

We require a signed Guest Agreement and a copy of photo ID returned within 24 hours to confirm your reservation. The Primary Guest who pays and signs the rental agreement must be at least 28 years of age and must be present during the entire stay. We also highly recommend that all of our guests purchase additional Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) Trip Cancellation Insurance due to our NO Cancellation/NO Refunds policy.
