Please take some time to review this manual. There is a lot of useful information included. We love hearing from our guests, but ask that you check here before reaching out as we’ve tried to assemble a manual carefully curated to answer the questions we typically receive.

If you have connectivity issues, please turn the router (in living room) off briefly. If you bring your own network converter (USB-C, etc) you can connect directly to the router in the living room using the yellow ethernet cable in the kitchen nook drawer. This will give you the most reliable connection for video meetings (Zoom, Google Meet, Webex etc)
House Rules & Safety
No shoes inside the house during the rainy season.
No pets.
Unfortunately we are unable to host any type of party, day or night.
No loud noise after 10 PM. Please be considerate of the neighbors and especially the residents living in your pocket neighborhood. Also note that when your door is ajar the neighbors across the alley can hear conversations and other sounds easily.
First Aid Kit in bathroom under sink
We have a No Burn Policy: No smoking, no vaping, no incense.
No drugs.
Do not pirate or torrent content.

Trash
Regular trash and recycling receptacles are under the sink, recycling is blue and when full can be emptied into the larger blue bin outside (with the house number on it, 1270). Our 3 waste bins go out on Thursday evenings for a Friday morning collection. Please roll them out to the curb, onto the street.

Neighbors
Please do not disturb the residents living in our pocket neighborhood. The Covid-19 pandemic and its many variants force us to be friendly from a distance. Additionally, please understand that if we get too many complaints from the neighbors about noise, it could shut us down to future short term renting. We feel lucky to have good neighbors.

Amenities
Pillows: If you would like a feather, hypoallergenic, softer or firmer pillow, feel free to check out the pillows in the closet.
LG air conditioner: This unit has many benefits; control humidity, automate the temperature (heating and cooling) for optimum daytime and night time comfort, minimize noise from the outside, filter the air.
Furnace: For additional heating.
Please set both units to 67°F before departure.

Fans: There are 2 fans in the bedroom closet.
Washer & Dryer: Before running the dryer, check to make sure the filter is clean to ensure more efficient drying. The iron and ironing board are located in the laundry room.

Kitchen appliances
We have discovered that the microwave and toaster oven do not like each other and cannot be running at the same time as the fuse gets blown. You can reset the breaker located in the electric panel on the front of the house.

Entertainment
You can access your Netflix and other entertainment accounts via our Samsung or Roku TV.
To switch Netflix accounts on the Roku TV in the bedroom;
1. Open the Netflix channel on Roku. Choose a watch profile if prompted.
2. Go to the settings menu on the left side menu. Select “Get Help” in the left menu.
3. Select Sign Out at the bottom.
4. Confirm your selection by choosing Yes when prompted.
5. Sign back in using your credentials.

DEPARTURE
Please clean or put dishes in the sink. Place trash in appropriate receptacle under the sink.
Please lock the door upon leaving. If you used a key, please return it to the place you found it.

Check-Out Time
We have a strict 11 AM check out time and have a busy calendar. The cleaners arrive promptly unless you have arranged to extend your stay. The hourly rate is $10/hr and must be arranged at least 24 hours prior.
