This is a perfect place for your whole family if you're thinking of moving to the area and need a home base while you work with your realtor.
The area has an unending list of activities for you and your family’s enjoyment.
There’s fun on the water fishing giant Striper Bass and abundant Rainbow Trout or your riding on a personal watercraft or boat. If you don’t have your own jet ski there are many rental companies close by who will arrange a rental for you. Annual float parties on the river in the summertime are very popular. The giant Lake Mohave is accessible behind Davis Dam at Katherine’s Landing an easy 26 minutes to the north. From there you visit 198 secluded beach coves and 237 miles of coastline that divides Nevada and Arizona! If you have the right boat you can run all the way to the Hoover Dam, 70 miles north. If the boating party scene is more to you liking, Lake Havasu City is just over an hour away with it’s famous London Bridge Channel.
We have our own neighborhood private boat launch just 1500 yards away with key card access (supplied). You’ll never have to wait to get onto the water launch again. Even without a boat you can take advantage of the fishing opportunities at our launch site so grab one of the fishing poles in the garage and try your luck.
The desert is yours to explore whether you’re day tripping to Oatman AZ to feed the Burros or off four wheeling in search of adventure. We have reference books here at the house to help you locate great rockhounding spots, ghost towns to visit, 4x4 roads or meteorite strewn fields to explore. Birding in the area is unbelievable and you’re welcome to reference the Audubon books. Hikes in Christmas Tree pass and Spirit Mountain (visible from the the back yard) provide a spiritual renewal of your soul. The area is rich in First Nations history and pictographs are within an easy walk in the mountains above Laughlin. Casa 'Anya derives it's name from the Mojave language too. 'Anya meaning abundant sunshine 🌞
Farther afield, the magnificent Grand Canyon is three hours twenty minutes from the house and the exciting Las Vegas Strip is 110 miles away, about 1 hour 45 minutes. Our location is ideal for your fun headquarters.
If you’re seeking some night-time excitement we are located 20 minutes from the hotels and casinos in Laughlin NV. They offer great entertainment, gambling to your heart’s content, and wonderful dining options whether you’re craving In ‘N Out Burgers, Buffets or a gourmet sit-down Prime Rib dinner with a river view. There is even a seasonal dinner cruise on the river and a Jet Boat tour available.
You can play a different golf course every day for nearly two weeks. We have 12 courses nearby. There’s everything from little executive nine hole courses to magnificent 36 hole Country Clubs and scenic, highly ranked courses.
If you’re ready to take a “day off” and just hang out and relax we have the perfect spot for you! Casa ‘Anya is designed to fulfill your every need. The unheated pool is 10' x 30' and runs from about 2' to 6' deep.
Inside, our home is 1760 sq. ft and feels very casual with a large, tiled gathering room. The fireplace is the main focus in the gathering room, perfect for those cool evenings where you can sit and enjoy the 65” Smart TV. Loads of games are available, too! We have a poker table & chairs for game night and a small antique table with chess/checkers/backgammon and roulette. We have a few dozen DVD’s and there are smaller televisions and DVD players in every bedroom so everyone can go off for some alone time. Our home sits on a 40 acre green belt where the kids (and adults) can play horseshoes or toss the football or Frisbee around or play wiffle golf and Nerf baseball, all supplied! There are six catch and release fishing ponds just outside the back gate and fishing poles in the garage. The ponds require barbless hooks only.
The kitchen is well equipped with a drip coffee/ Keurig maker combination, waffle maker or even a milkshake machine. We have a wet bar with sink and mini fridge to keep your beverages handy at just the right temperature along with a juicer/blender for specialty margaritas and a movie theater style popcorn machine. The master bedroom is your private retreat with good linens and comfortable furnishings. The queen room is cozy and comfortable and the third bedroom has twin beds. There is good healthcare nearby and Walmart is the next stoplight north on the highway that runs through town. The home is very close-in to all local fast food dining options for a quick meal yet far enough away in a good private neighborhood of professionals to feel very comfortable. It’s very quiet at night and the stars are awesome and we can't wait for you to experience our flickering flame solar lights around the pool when the sun goes down.
We have worked really hard to make sure you are going to have THE most memorable vacation EVER! Our aim is to have you so happy you’ll return year after year. We are always willing to take suggestions and we value your feedback. We strive to make your holiday a five-star event!
PLEASE NOTE: Because this is our home, and not just a generic rental we do tend to vet our guests a little more thoroughly. We may even talk with you on the phone before we accept your booking. We do not allow parties or large gatherings of more than 10 people including the booked family and the HOA has rules against noise, parking etiquette, marina use, etc, and ask that guest be respectful of our home and neighborhood. We have a Ring doorbell and several exterior Blink cameras. For more information on our home on a more casual basis you won't have any trouble finding Casa 'Anya Bullhead AZ on facebook! We're social.

We have parking for two vehicles on the driveway and most seasons the 2 car garage will be available also. Full use of 2 car attached garage.
For our guests with trailers / boats:

You can park your vehicle, trailer or boat on the street but most vehicle-boat combinations will exceed the width of the property line (35') so you'll likely have to disconnect your rig. If you block the neighbors property (including the empty lot next door) or if the tires on your vehicle or trailer are on the sidewalk, you will be in violation of HOA rules and may be fined. The vacant lot next door is not for your use and you may be towed by the owner or the HOA. The marina has strict rules of conduct and guests are expected to abide by them.

Guests and invitees:
Primary renter must be age 35 or older.
Children over 5 are welcomed.
Maximum number of guests (including children) staying: 6.
Maximum number of people on premises at any one time (incl children): 10
Pets:
Up to 2 dogs permitted upon weight approval. Pets must be kenneled if left home alone
and may not wander the house unattended. The portable kennel in the garage is
available for our guests to use. Cleaning for dogs is $50 per pet per
stay. Pets are welcome in the back greenbelt however leashes are required and
owners of dogs allowed to harass the wildlife will be fined. It should go without
saying that all dog waste needs to be picked up by the guest (bags provided). Please use the
hose to wash down any spots on which your male dog has urinated.
Please load in all coolers, groceries, luggage through the garage door.
The HOA has strict rules regarding parking, noise, trash and the marina:
-Street parking is allowed however your vehicle and watercraft trailer may not
have tires on the sidewalk. Use or blocking of the empty lot next door is a code
violation and you are subject to being towed and / or fined if your vehicles are
on or in front of the empty lot.
-No noise after 10:00 p.m. Please be courteous and mindful of our neighbors.
-Leaving trash cans in view is a violation; they must go behind the gate on non
trash days. The bin needs to be placed out at the curb on Wednesday with pickup Thursday, and returned to behind the fence on Thursday after the bin's been emptied.
-Loss of Marina access key will result in a $100 fine. There are strict rules of
conduct for guests in the marina. Beforwarned, there is the possibility of a
$2,000 fine for creating a wake. Have fun, but be respectful of HOA regs.
Our welcome book at the entryway has a lot of helpful information. Please take a few minutes to review it. It contains information such as house quirks (hard water), our security items (Ring, Blink and Alexa), guides for local attractions, shopping, casinos, golfing, jetski rentals etc.
