Yellowstone Lodge is the perfect retreat for those who enjoy a cozy combination of leisure and adventure. After a day of hitting the Sundance slopes or exploring the natural treasures of the Uintah National Forest, settle down for a night of entertainment and relaxation. Gather your guests around the spacious rock campfire with large rock slabs for seating and long roasting sticks for an evening of s’mores. After you’ve enjoyed the great outdoors, the entertainment continues inside the cabin, which is Alexa enabled with Amazon music unlimited. We want you to have a great stay so please let us know ASAP if anything is needed. Contact us anytime during your stay.

Mountain cabins are nearby but with the forest all around the cabin, you will feel like there are no neighbors. Sundance is down the road two miles and Aspen Grove and the National Forest Service are up the road 1/2 mile where there are trailheads to Mt Timpanogos and Stewart Falls.

4x4 vehicle required in late fall, winter, and early spring. If you have a 2 wheel drive vehicle then you can park in the pullout off the main highway and walk 150 yards to the cabin.

If you will use the fire pit then you must follow all the firepit rules specified by the fire department:
1. Avoid fires on windy days.
2. Use a hose to water down trees, shrubs, and grass that abut the campfire rockwork.
3. Make sure the Fire Bucket is full of water and near the fire pit.
4. Carefully remove the fire pit safety grate and place out-of-the-way.
5. Start and enjoy the campfire! (Attend to the campfire at all times) Don’t use lightweight paper (TP, paper towel as their embers float while burning.)
6. If neighbors complain (Let’s hope not!) then the fire must be extinguished.
7. When finished, completely douse the fire pit with water so fire pit is completely cold.
8. Carefully reinstall the fire pit safety grate to avoid trips and falls.

We had an awesome family reunion here and it was excellent. They had firewood and fire starters and skewers for hot dogs and for marshmallows. The kitchen was super functional. We have VRBO’d cabins before and I’ve never had a refrigerator with an icemaker. That was super extra. They also have a drink fridge and a washer and dryer. Tons of towels. I could go on and on with how great this place is. The space is perfect for family games and the couches are so soft and amazing. Parking is great. Cons: the downstairs is slightly dank which is why they have a dehumidifier, which fixes the smell it’s hard to describe. It isn’t that bad. Another con is that they are definitely watching you on the cameras. My nephew brought his dog to the cabin (even though I told him not to) and within 15 minutes we got a message that no pets are allowed and could we please observe the rule. They are definitely monitoring you. I hope it’s only with the outside cameras. highly recommend this cabin.

This is a great cabin surrounded by trees. The main room is spacious and a great gathering space. I loved the sound of the rushing stream which is about 200 feet away. Kent is extremely kind and helpful.

Perfect getaway
We had a great time - our family came for a reading retreat, and the cabin was perfect for a cozy family gathering. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the gorgeous surroundings. The kitchenette was small but well equipped with everything we needed to cook meals (induction stovetop, air fryer, toaster oven, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster). Overall, a great stay.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was magical. We loved sitting in the hot tub amongst all the breathtaking scenery. We loved opening the windows at night and listening to the river below. The kitchen and the large living area made it comfortable to cook and eat together. The couches in the cabin were so comfortable. I want to get some in my home. It was so nice being so close to Sundance as well. We went to The foundry for brunch and it was delicious and then rode the lifts. We ended our day with a hike up to Stewart falls . So many great things to do in such a close proximity. I would highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed!

Delightful spring break getaway
We loved our two evenings at this cabin. We knew it’d still be buried in snow due to the historic snowstorms, and it just added to the adventure. The place was well furnished and cozy. The proximity to Sundance allowed us to enjoy the last ski days of the season. Kids loved the loft, hot tub, Pac Man arcade, and projector movie screen. Would stay again.
