Spacious cabin on 4 peaceful acres in the NC mountains! Plenty of room to spread out in the 2400 sq ft cabin - includes 7 person salt water hot tub, fire pit (plenty of split wood onsite too) as well as tv's in common areas, wifi and a very well stocked kitchen!
Main floor area has large / comfortable living space with 3 couches and 2 chairs with tv. Kitchen is on this floor as well.

Master bedroom on main floor is a king bed with walk in / private full bathroom. Bathroom has spa / jetted tub and a seperate shower.

Loft area has 2 twin beds as well as a gaming / card table.

Basement area has common space with large couch and 2 sets of heavy duty (adults could use) bunk beds. Seperate / private bedroom with king bed is off of common area.

Full bath in basement with combination shower / tub.

The cabin is beautiful with anything you could possibly need for a weekend getaway! Just far enough off beaten path to not be bothered by the hustle & bustle of every day life. We enjoyed both Franklin & Sylva for dinners & breweries.

The Cabin was absolutely amazing!! Beautiful views, fully stocked!! They had everything you could think of for convenience, especially in the kitchen!! It was so clean and looked just like the pictures! It will always be memorable to us because this is where we got engaged on Christmas morning!!! We will be making this a tradition!!

Carolina Moon was the perfect getaway! No noisy neighbors or loud traffic was just what we needed. We enjoyed just relaxing, sitting in the porch swing and the hot tub was a plus! It was just the two of us, but the cabin can easily hold two or three couples with bunks, games and TVs for kids. The fire pit area is great and easily accessible with plenty of firewood. We hope to return in the spring and walk through the woods as well as explore the town of Franklin, its restaurants and breweries a little more.

Carolina Moon was like a piece of heaven! My husband and I and our daughter and family enjoyed our stay so much! We had planned to go horseback riding but the weather didn't permit so we enjoyed a fun day together playing board games and just relaxing in the cabin which was perfect. I hope to return to this cabin again and appreciate Steve sharing his wonderful cabin!

This cabin is amazing. The kitchen is well stocked. This is the 1st time I’ve ever rented a place that the kitchen was as stocked at this one. Nice dishes and glass ware. There’s even a kitchen aid mixer. A spice drawer, with all the spices you need. Big green egg for grilling, with charcoal. Firewood. They supply you with firewood. The beds are so comfy. 3 levels, 3 bedrooms that are private. Love love the bunk beds for the kiddos. Hot tub is clean and nice. The fire pit was so nice to have. Back yard is fenced in if you have a dog. The sunsets where amazing and through the trees at night you can see the town sparkling. This cabin does sleep 12, if your looking at this cabin, do not hesitate to rent this one. It’s so roomy, clean , comfy beds, and that well stocked kitchen. And wrap around porch. 5 stars all around. The Carolina Moon Cabin was so wonderful. We visited with our five children for just four days, and if we could've stayed the whole month, we would have! It is nestled in the woods in what feels like total wilderness yet it is conveniently close to Franklin, Sylva, and Lake Glenville. The view is amazing: you can see so many mountains in the diatance, and the way the clouds pass through in the morning is fairytale like. The cabin itself is perfectly set up: it is spacious, comfortable (the kitchen is very well stocked for the cooking types), clean, cozy (loved the decor!), and there is so much indoor entertainment for the rainy days. It is clear the hosts put a lot of thought and love into setting it all up. The hosts are very kind and gracious, and we felt like we were in our own home during our stay (no invasive cameras or excessive rules). The place and its surroundings have a special energy, and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Stacy & Steve!

Finding this cabin at the last minute was meant to be! The location far up the mountain made for beautiful views, and helped us stay put & "just be". Our adventures out took us to Highlands, Franklin, Cashiers, & a beautiful hike at High Falls with a picnic at Lake Glenville. The time at the cabin was wonderful- with only 4 of us there was plenty of space to spread out & have me time, the decks, living areas, & firepit were incredible for gathering together. We brought our dog & had the happy surprise of the backyard being enclosed so we could let her out off leash! The cabin itself was clean, organized, & well appointed. There was nothing we needed that wasn't there. The light switches were even labeled! One tip for future winter travelers; try to be up the mountain before dark! The roads get twisty & narrow, not fun to drive like they are in the daytime.

All trash has to be removed from the property and dropped off at the Highlands Road Center located at 2116 Highlands Road in Franklin. We do not have trash pick up service available. This is on your way to 441 / Franklin and is right on Highlands Road. Any trash left behind will be subject to a $150 fee for our cleaning company to remove. 2 dog maximum allowed with a pet fee PER animal. NO CATS. No fires allowed in the fire place. Use of the fire pit is permitted. We monitor the cameras to confirm arrival. Please be truthful about your guest count and pets at time of booking to avoid additional fees being added.
