The apartment is new and lovingly designed with 2 bedrooms and bathroom, along with kitchen and living area. You'll find trails nearby to walk your dog.

Lovely morning sunlight; bedrooms (king and queen beds) with blackout shades; 9 foot ceilings; brand new mid-century feel- this is your home away-from-home in DC! The apartment has its own entrance at front and back, two large bedrooms and bathroom; and a fully stocked kitchen. And a free laundry service with us upstairs. We live right above and are always available for anything at all you might need to make your stay more comfortable. The apartment is a fully separate downstairs unit- we live upstairs and are always available for anything you might need during your stay.

Guests have full access to the entire apartment, including a fenced side yard and patio for any pets and a front garden.

We'll be available throughout your stay and live right upstairs if you need anything at all.

The Minnesota Ave/Deanwood area is leafy residential neighborhood with wide, tree-lined streets where Marvin Gaye is from! It is quiet and everyone knows their neighbors. We have a lot of free parking and nice trails for daily walks. We're a 7 minute walk to the Orange Line Minnesota Ave metro stop and then it is 7 stops to the Smithsonian, 4 stops to Capitol Hill, 3 stops to restaurants and shops in Eastern Market, and 1 stop to RFK stadium (all without changing lines). Grocery stores are about 11 minutes away by car (there is also a large corner store with mostly non-fresh groceries in walking distance). Note that this is not a commercial area so you won't find restaurants and stores in walking distance, but you'll find them nearby via car (H Street) or metro (Eastern Market).

The apartment is 1.5 blocks from the Minnesota Ave metro stop (orange line) which also has a large bus stop for buses that go all over the city. The neighborhood is walkable and safe, with nice trails for evening walks. There is plenty of available street parking.

We love dogs but would like to know more about them and must approve their stay. Please let us know their age and if they are 100% reliably potty trained. We don't allow puppies or cats. We charge a $25 pet fee per dog per night.

If you're not a pet person, note that we are very good at keeping our Airbnbs super clean despite hosting pets.

If you are bringing a car, we'll need the license plate number, state, make, and color to give you a parking permit.

Smoking (of all kinds) is NOT allowed anywhere on the property, including outdoors. No incense.

This is a quiet, residential neighborhood- music and excessive noise are not allowed after 10pm.
