No need for a car! The location is within walking distance of Chico State and downtown. Bidwell Park is 1 mile away with miles of walking/running trails and swimming holes. Walkable family favorites coffee -Naked Lounge -Tin Roof breakfast -Cafe Coda -B street cafe lunch / casual dinner -Celestinos pizza by the slice or pizza -T-Bar - great sparkling, frozen and hot teas. wraps, bowls and avocado toast. our favorite is anything with the pork and cous cous Tres Hombres - margaritas and warm chips! Mexican food nice dinner -5th street steakhouse - sit down or there is a nice bar menu. there are outside couches that are considered part of the bar -LaSalles - wonderful back patio area Desserts -Shuberts Ice Cream -Upper Crust pastries and cake -Sweet Shoppe candy store Gift stores -Made in Chico -Upper Park -Chico State Bookstore Saturday morning market, year round f-ood & flowers -don’t miss the Sweet Cottage food truck - wonderful pies and lemonade Thursday night market, may - September -variety of food -get a drink at Burgers and Brew and sit on the patio to people watch walks Chico State: head towards downtown and head right before the bridge, follow along the creek. cross Warner street to wander around the sports fields. or turn left on Warner and walk to the main entrance of campus, walk through campus. One Mile: walk past Bidwell Mansion towards Morning Thunder restaurant. cross 2nd street and go over the bridge and turn left. this will take you under a tunnel and bring you up in the park. Keep going straight until you see a large field on the left. Go left to One Mile. One Mile is a dammed up portion of the creek where people swim or just hang out on the grass. kids parks - Caper Acres - wonderful fairy tale based park for kids
